[Tmobile Customer] What roms should I install on my ATT Note 3 -- ATT roms or Tmo rom - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I am with Tmobile. I bought an unlocked ATT Not 3 (mj5). Rooted and installed SafeStrap.
Do I install roms from the ATT section or Tmobile Section? If I install from ATT, should I need to do anything to ensure full capability with Tmobile -- specifically, full range of my unlimited data?
I am looking for a clean rom without all the ATT/Samsung bloatware.
THanks.

You should technically be able to install either as long as you don't flash a T-Mobile modem. I have had an AT&T Note 2 and still have an AT&T S4 (currently using a T-Mobile Note 3 though) all on T-Mobile. I haven't tried this on an AT&T Note 3, but on my AT&T Note 2 and S4, I was able to flash T-Mobile ROMs to gain Wifi Calling (calls, texts, and MMS work over Wifi, even overseas), which is fantastic because I have like no T-Mobile service in my house, but it's perfect when I walk outside. Additionally, you gain the "Network Mode" menu which AT&T removes from all of its devices.
Currently, I'm running Vision X N3 on my Note 3. Worst case, you get bootloops or freezing if it doesn't work on your AT&T model, but that's it. Just don't flash any T-Mobile bootloaders or modems (99% of ROMs for any version of the phone include neither).

Using t999 on at&t

Well, just moved to washingron, and t-mobile has no coverage within 10 miles of where I am at, but at&t has full 4g here. Got the at&t sim, on the go-phone plan, modified the apn and get data now. However, I keep getting warnings that my sim card is bad by several t-mobile functions. Can I flash an att rom to it, and do I need to avoid the att modems, or are they also ok to flash on the att network?

No. You can't do that.

First of all, don't flash any modems.
My phone is an AT&T Unlocked i747 Galaxy S3 and I no longer have AT&T service, but instead I chose Tmobile.
I now have a tmobile sim and have been flashing Tmobile roms ever since I changed my carrier to tmobile.
Everything works fine as long as I do NOT flash any Tmobile Modems.
None of the Tmobile or AT&T custom roms contain the modem image.
All of this also holds true when coming from Tmobile sim and going with AT&T sim.
If your phone is not unlocked I would suggest that you unlock it for best results.

What about kernels? Which T-Mobile ones can we flash onto an AT&T S3? I'm doing what you are. AT&T S3 on T-Mobile.

If you have a tmobile sim chip then flash tmobile kernel.
If you have a AT&T sim chip then flash AT&T kernel.
But if I were you I would stay with stock kernels which all the custom Jellybean 4.1.1 roms already come with.
So if you flash a Tmobile custom rom, it will come with a tmobile kernel.
If flashing a AT&T custom rom it will come with the stock AT&T kernel.
Good luck!

Awesome! I have a T-Mobile Sim in my ATT s3. I'm running universe s4 ROM. So I wouldn't have to flash a kernel when flashing TW ROMs from tmo?

You never have to flash a kernel regardless of which rom you flash.
All roms come with kernels, all the kernels you see here in XDA which are separate
downloads are custom kernels unless they are specified as being stock.
Custom kernels might be OK for experimenting for those people who want to
over clock or under volt their phones. In my opinion it's a waste of time and
cause more problems or issues than whatever advantages they may have.
(in my personal experience custom kernels have no real advantages at all)

If you want your Tmobile phone to work on the AT&T network then here are the prerequisites:
1: Your phone needs to be carrier unlocked
2: You must have an AT&T activated sim card
3: You have to change the APN settings in your phone
4: You need to odin flash the proper AT&T modem.bin for your phone.
Rooting is not a requirement for switching from tmobile to at&t networks.
Good luck!

No Service on T-Mobile Galaxy S4

I have an unlocked T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919) running Cyanogenmod 13 on the latest nightly. So far, I have been getting no service on the T-Mobile network, even after flashing stock TouchWiz. When I inserted a non T-Mobile SIM card, the phone jumped straight on to the AT&T network. I have tried every method found online but to no avail. Please help. I don't even know how a phone tailored for a single carrier can't even go on its network.
Is the phone running the latest bootloader and modem?

Galaxy S8+ Unlocked Version WiFi Calling

Has anyone "Successfully" flashed Verizon firmware onto a Galaxy S8+ (US Unlocked Version) and has Wifi Calling/VoLTe up and actually running and working?

I don't have the us unlock version, but I have 2 Sprint, 1 T-Mobile S8+an 2 AT&T Note 8. All unlock an flash with Verizon Firmware, works 100%. I had T-Mobile service less than 24 hours ago, now I have Verizon service.
I actually just did this yesterday. Everything works Wifi Calling, Wifi Texting, VoLTE. The whole gammit. You'll want to disable a few packages that Verizon wants to pollute the phone with, but it is no where near as bad as the S7 was.
Verizon service definitely works on none Verizon phones, like Note 8, galaxy S7 and S8 ones you flash the unlock U firmware. Works excellent
Yup, I flashed Verizon firmware on an unlocked S8+ and it everything was working.
Yes. Follow these instructions
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...to/how-to-video-wificalling-unlocked-t3615027
Try it
I have no S8 , but you can try the wifi calling tool -
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.widget7.wifi.calling
After you flash an unlocked S8 with Verizon firmware, does the phone remain unlocked?

Can someone please help - FLASH UNLOCKED NOTE 10+ TO AT&T (TO GET WIFI CALLING)....

Can someone please help - FLASH UNLOCKED NOTE 10+ TO AT&T (TO GET WIFI CALLING)....
first I have read and read and read.....and I still am unsure if flashing to a carrier firmware (ATT) on my unlocked Note 10+ gives me WIFI calling.....yes or no?? I flashed to ATT firmware and the icon is there, but i keep getting the "OOOPS" message, saying that it cant be activated. I called ATT and was told even though I have ATT firmware, they still cant get WIFI calling to work..
any ideas? what is the latest...is it possible to get WIFI calling on a flashed unlocked Note 10+?
thanks
Yes, can , but need change csc to att, Currently changing the csc for note 10 is currently unavailable, the only way is to use it to change it
Hell I'll trade you my AT&T version for an unlocked one. I have the 256gb 12gb ram note 10+ in black. I want to root because every single phone I've ever had (except this one) has been rooted and I miss that ****
