WiFi fix for sense 5 roms which doesn't have it - HTC One X

Hey guys I took the ota from maximusHD Rom which has the fix and removed a few files for maximusHD Rom so only the fix is inside.
Thanks to RichmondoUK and Football for getting us that fix so if someone is facing with stock Rom or another custom Rom based on sense 5 without the fix some WiFi problems, flash it and it should fix those problems.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/khullx0lonf0fmg/WiFi-fix for sense 5.zip
a few roms like maximusHD and viperX already are having that fix included and also some kernels are fixing WiFi ... So no need to flash on those roms

for example you have good wifi signal but network isn't really working or really slow...for example you should download with 250 kb/s but instead only with 5 or less...and that should fix it...

Thanks man, nice idea, what update number was this fix introduced? 401.3?

It was not introduced in any official firmware...it wad made by richmondouk and football had the permission to use it in his Rom so that we can just use it without any problems

You need to root the phone and flash it via recovery.. have you unlocked the bootloader via HTCDev.com?

Yes, when i was hboot 1.39 i unlock the bootloader. But then i go back to stock rom, update my phone and now my phone is hboot 1.72. Can i use the old unlock_code.bin?
And when you mean flash via recovery, which recovery should i use?

Yes you can use the old unlock code and you need a custom recovery like Philz touch or the latest test version of twrp

You need a special boot.img for newer hboots, search in the official thread.

Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
If you want latest kernel changes, you should repack. However, some people have reported having problems booting with repacked boot img.
Try with repacked boot.img first and if you can't boot flash the modded boot as it is.
so I ended up just using the modded boot.mg as I didn't have time to repack and alas it wouldn't boot. So ill try repacking and see how that goes. Got to get back to cyanogen as the jb camera takes really crap indoor photos. Like they are extremely blurry.

But on topic I would suggest a fill wipe

Before installing just to clean out all of cm back up your apps and data with titanium back up or similar app.

hi guys i put on nik project x rebirth now before i put it on i was on 4.2.2 now its gone to 4.1.1 i didnt think you could down grade on firmware also please please can some one explain is a boot img a kernel i really dont understand that bit
Yep, boot.img is a kernel. Kernel is complete by saying it's a boot.img file and it's modules.
You are back on 4.1.1 because it's probably an older custom rom. Try a newer one and read the descriptions well, check carefully if it's a 4.2.2 rom in the OP

Don't expect any other updates though, the HOX lifecycle is nearly at an end.

They are the same base, the thing is that in different region htc called the rom different, but the base files are the same.
That is, for europe the rom can be called 4.18 and for asia 4.20 but at the end the rom is the same base rom, the differents are some changes in gps and some drivers.
