The wait is over for the Ascend P6 owners who were waiting for the Android 4.4 KitKat update for Huawei’s most popular smartphone Ascend P6. After numerous push backs and false promises Huawei released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update today for the Chinese Unicom Ascend P6 owners. Its not available yet for the international version of the phone but if you are reading this post we guess you most likely know your way around when it comes to flashing custom ROM’s and installing official firmwares. As we said earlier this firmware is intended for China, but its compatible with your international Ascend P6-U06 with few quirks such as Google Apps not being installed by default.
This firmware comes with Emotion UI2.0 like we predicted before and we think its because Huawei wasn’t able to finalize EMUI2.3 at the right time to release with this update. Here are the details of this new firmware

Kernel version - 3.0.8-00771
Android version – 4.4.2
Emotion UI version – 2.0
Google Apps included – NO
Languages included – Chinese,English (confirmed)
Release date – March 31,2014

Along with the Android 4.4.2 this new firmware includes some new software additions unique to the Emotion UI2.0 which you might have already experienced if you have used the leaked KitKat ROM and If you aren’t here’s the full Huawei changelog translated to English - http://goo.gl/jLwP9I
You can upgrade to this new firmware by using Huawei’s default update.app method and according to Huawei this upgrade can be done from any current official firmwares. Google apps can be flashed later via TWRP or such recovery and we will update this post later with compatibility of available TWRP recovery images. Go to Chinise Market, search for Google, and first U will found will be Google package for 4.4 KitKat. Then press on pack and press on icon of companent U would install, for example contacts. Yes it does, as this is Chinese firmware. B132 is International firmware, which do not have this option.

Hi, can you please help. I am unable to locate this chinese market app that you mentioned. I only found app by the name "App Center" and if i search for any Google related services, it doesn't show the required result.

I want the android lockscreen back.
On the former stock roms this can be done by deleting or deaktivating the huawei lockscreen apk. But in this rom i cant find it.

Go in /system/app and find HwLockScreen.apk. Rename it for example to HwLockScreen.bak. After that you will have stock android lock screen.

Yes its been installed on my device for 24h and it seems much better its faster on every benchmark the camera is improved and the best thing is the coverage dropouts are fixed

Seems like a big jump for 107 too 111?
Skip step 3 in install u won't need to do full wipe just do step 1 and 2 and jes its the international version not chinese it has french and it has Google apps and what is important to me is it has polaris office. And as it seems b111 is fast and snapi it has worked with out reboot 35 h and all my 267 apps running it shows 14867 on antutu score. But b107 with v6 supercharged showed 13100 after reboot and same apps installed so i think the new is quite good

Via internal update yes from system settings and etc
Its like a usual update search google for huawei emui update or visit their website for instructions

Hi. Installed this rom few days ago
I did only Step1, and it works perfectly, and i didnt lost any data. I dont know what step2 does, but its not important. Your phone works normally without doing it. You dont need to do factory reset either.
This rom is working good, and faster than B107. I suggest everybody to flash it

Hi, I posted a commend on the download page of the said file, and i think the moderator replied back on that site that step two is not necessary I'm using this firmware now and I can say its more responsive overall compared to b107. I highly recommend that all P6 users upgrade to this international B111 rom!

You dont need that, just go to vmall and download the themes manually from huawei. there are loads of themes that can be downloaded check the link somewhere around here in the forum

Hi guys, I've got it right to enable ART on the new B506 CN Firmware!
Wait how..?
Well, when Huawei said they wont give us ART since it is too unstable, they were to lazy to edit the source code, so all they did was hide the "select_runtime" section in Smali. - Unfortunately for them PulseDroid knows Smali.
They've also modified:

libart.so
libart-compiler.so
core-libart.jar
To act as if they are complete, but it's basically unfinished code.
So what I did was recompile those three from www.github.com/android and edited the development settings smali to show the option in settings.
How to get ART
Don't flash this after a clean install, Settings.apk will stop, since it will be the first time loading the ROM and won't recognize the change in apk's. Flash the ROM first, go through the setup, then reboot at flash this.

Make sure your device is on B506, it will crash other versions.
Download this zip
Flash the zip via TWRP
Reboot
It will say "Android is upgrading", two apps will upgrade.
Go to Settings -> About -> tap Build number seven ( 7 ) times.
Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Select runtime -> Select ART
Reboot ( Boot will take some time )
It will say "Android is upgrading" and upgrade all of the apps ( This will take some time )
Seriously it uses a modified Settings.apk / Provider.apk if you flash this on a Rom not based on B506 you will have problems.

I wouldn't be able to say if this is Placebo, but it feels really, really fast. NOTE:- Benchmarks wont show improvement since they test Dalvik, not art!

BTW: B506 is stock, Surdu only modded it a bit, like added Root and made it flashable.

It didn't work here either, I recompiled some stuffs to make it work. - I don't yet know how stable it is, haven't used it long enough.
Although I agree it is not quite perfect yet, I think the reason Huawei keeps this from us could be linked to the same reasons we have slow performance, no LTE even tough we could, etc.

I don't know why is hidden, but it work like a charm! It just FLY! Browser is opening and loading Facebook in just 2 sec. and this is when so many other apps are started!

But seriously now, I am wondering why it is so much faster, could this have been the P6 problem all along? Bad Dalvik support or something.. hmm.

I folowed the steps and installed.
For me the results are not spectacular. I didn't seen any changes in speed. In games it is a litlle better but not more.
Maybe do another restart of the system or wipe cash?

Hi Guys! I've ported MIUI v6 4.3.23 to the Huawei Ascend P6. At the moment the only official ( beta ) build is for the Nexus 7 2013. This build is really, really buggy. Nothing works. It is not ready for users. Please bare with me, I have to port from a beta build, from a tablet. Once MIUI v6 is officially out it should go much easier! At the moment this is a Pre-Alpha build, I already know how to fix a few bugs, which I will do as soon as I get time.

As you can see the low-level things are working. Camera, Sound etc. So most of these bugs are because I am porting from a tablet ( Without RIL! ) I am now busy fixing most graphical bugs, that should go quick. The notes app for example, MIUI made it tablet aware, so when it is on mobile it works 100% Perfect, since it can see it's mobile. - Some other apps are only tablet ( like settings ) These will be harder to fix.

I don't think it is going to be so hard to fix RIL! Only problem is the tablet only apps, those I think I have to wait for MIUI to update.
Here is an example, when you rotate your device on settings, you see it looks perfect, because then there is more screen real-estate. I think because this is still a Beta they are focusing on tablets.

Just minor bugs:
- some Wi-Fi Direct problems
- turning off airplane mode dont restore mobile automaticly. search for network...
- ...
FAQ:
- No file manager, no flashlight !? Go to Play Store and choose what You like
- There is no advanced power saving here, but I'm sure that battery life is still better than on stock.
- Remember also to restart phone after Gapps installation, after first start Google Play Services eating a lot of battery.

This is vanilla build of Android 4.4.4 Kitkat:
- no bloatware
- no fancy settings
- no custom switches, themes, graphics etc.
- just clean, simple, stock build

Warning: I'm not responsible for anything what will may happen with Your phone when You try to install and using this software.
Requirements:
1. You must be on B506/B507 KitKat from Huawei.
Go back to stock firmware by recovery.img from this post.
2. TWRP recovery in 2.7.0.0(and higher) version is required.
3. After wipe everything, but not Internal and External storages, please do reboot to recovery and continue installation then to avoid bootloop.
4. Meanwhile it is better if USB cable is unplugged from the phone.
5. Have fun.
Installation:
1. Go to TWRP recovery
2. Wipe all excluding Internal and External storages.
3. Reboot phone to recovery one more time.
Warning: don't wipe & install in one session, will cause bootloop
4. Install ROM as usual..

Thanks to all, Wi_fi na signal bar fix is just matter of few hours, now I've got some chill time with beer with firends but tomorrow this two things will be fixed, I hope. I spend few hours to fix RIL deamon, but as for now I'll remove of few things from Surdu's device tree, and keep it to stock AOSP fixed RIL problems. As I see it now, AOSP is much different from any CM or OMNI roms's. Hope to make nice & fast & clean ROM for our P6 in near future...

New update in few moments. Check OP soon
- fixed Wi-Fi, but no AP functionality.
- locked lock screen rotation.
- removed Launcher3 / lot of this stuff on Play store /, stick to old school Launcher2
- still problems with mobile network /RIL deamon crash on startup/.
- still no luck with signal bar / Surdu's workaround dont work here ;( /
- After You manually search for mobile network and select automatic, phone functions works like a charm
Going back to RIL problem...
The first Rom is smoother...but its the right way ..

Google Now launcher is not AOSP. This would ruin the purity of the AOSP rom and its freely available on the play store.
Exactly. As I wrote in OP. Clean and stock,everything else is on play store. Can someone make test with antutu on current build. My screen is from first version and also with few more aosp libs after huawei ones...I know why first release is bit faster,need only some prove.

Good, I'm making new build now, sill fighting with RIL problem... Changed few settings, and new build should be as fast as first one... If I manage to fix RIL and signal bar, then I'll make a new upload.

Didn't find so much time these days to work on this build. But as for now, telephony is working after start.
Testing few things now, becouse now I get telephony freeze crash after enabling mobile data...
New update is ready.Check OP.
- telephony is working now from start /data also/
- still no signal bar, and small delay on answering calls
- added superuser.apk
Next weekend is 3 days off... so new updates for sure

- signal bar is working now, after around 30 hours of porting/testing some telephony framework stuff from OmniROM.
after this signal bar fix, inherited screen on delay on reciving calls, will be fixed.
- changed music app from "Music" to Apollo whitch is much more usable and it's default app on all ROM's
- added STK (SimToolKit)
- have some nice idea how to solve missing dolby service problem, without dolby...maybe in next update
- changing state of rom to Beta now, it is pretty stable now.
Check OP for download link, and have fun.

- just fixed nasty StatusBar behavior /small jump when switching full screen activities/.
It is also visible on screenshots, a small margin above status bar...good bay
Will be included in next update.

I installed the Rom but i only got a Bootloop.

This Rom Isn´t Made by me, Is made By a Colombian guy. The not yet been posted because it has no time.
Ok. This Rom Is Based On B507 CN Version With This features.
* Removed only fully Chinese apps.
* I changed the softkeys . For the " home" I made the logo of Huawei.
* Added some Gapps .
* Added root permissions .
* Added some apps for social communication .
* Added Google apps folders and Social .
* Added the app Quickboot to easily enter TWRP recovery .
* Added the " sleep button " function ( extracted from EMUI 2.3)
* Added the " UI for one hand"
* Added more floating applications ( Extracted from EMUI 2.3)
* Added preloaded images and sounds ( extracted from EMUI 2.3)
* In the widget no longer displays the Chinese news but the preloaded images .
* The language and the default location is " Spanish " .
* Changed the way to perform on a weather widget , when it is done through wifi services google play .
* Removed the Chinese keyboard and has the android ( AOSP ) keyboard and Swype Huawei
* The default theme is Breeze , the effect is better than Lockscreen Taste .

-You First have to Update To KitKat Beta
-After you Flash KItkat Beta
-Install Twrp For KitKat by Surdu_Petru: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709353
-.1 Select the button "Wipe" for Total Cleaning:
* Select the button "Advanced Wipe":
Mark "Dalvik Cache", "System", "Cache" and "Data"
* Swipe to Wipe
* Then "Back"
2 - Select the button "Install"
3 - Choose "Up A Level" and "external_sd"
4 - Select the downloaded file ROM.zip
5 - Wait for it to finish installing
6 - Select the button "Reboot"
The first time it takes five minutes to pass the Huawei logo.

Was it extracted from the Emui2.3 of P7 ? If yes, then how could he miss the new lockscreen on P7 ?
I'm currently using B506 by Reyncla. Can I flash this version without erasing data/system?

rom support multilanguage but not see to langulist.. google play store "language enabler" apps and set other language (i'm use this full turkish)

Already install..rom working smooth and fast...but one thing I don't like, GPS take so long to lock...in stock rom it takes only 5-10 sec but in this rom almost 5 minute ...
