It's little too big for LG G pad but anyway you can try, it's cool to play video games on the PlayStation controller

I've made a PS3 controller mount for my GPad.
I used a coat hanger for the attachment, its a little heavy depending on where its held but i've slanted it so its sits on the controller.
I have pictures if you wanna see

Dualshock Phone Mount

Hello all.
I love the ability to play games with a controller on my phone but really hate that I have to hold my phone or put it on a table. So I found a metal plate, measured the controller and made this mount for my phone and controller.
It is very solid and works well. With some paint and an hour of work it will look a little more pro
Happy "modding" your own controller kit

That is a good idea.
Great job.
I like to see when done and painted.
What phone do you have?

I have a SGSII. The good thing is that you only have to make the mount once and whenever you buy a new phone you just change the cover.
I watched you're video. I was hoping to see a tutorial of you actually making it.
I have a question, How did you attached the metal with the plastic???

The thread and thus the pictures above is about a year old and I have since replaced my SGS2 with a SGS3.
The design makes it easy to replace the cover on the mount to fit a Note (or any other device).
Pictures with the SGS3 can be seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29395051&postcount=197
My mount is my very own private fun-project and thus not for sale and I do not plan to mass produce it, but a new commercial mount have come up, the Gameklip:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1760595
It cost 15 $ + shipping. The design is rather similar to the one I made (tho a lot more beatyful ). Only disadvantage is that this mount is not universal, and thus do not fit all phones.

Sixaxis Mod for GS2

Hi,
I was struggling to find a solution to my problem, making gaming on-the-go with my sixaxis more portable...
I wanted a solution i could put in my work bag to have to hand on the journey to and from work, so i came up with this:
Here's some vids of it in action:

Cheers,
Dickie.
Very interesting idea. I am looking for something like this myself. If you could perfect the idea with it clipping or clicking onto the pad instead of the screws it would be good enough to put a few on ebay!
EDIT
LOL just read the bottom of your post and good to see you took my advice!
Hey guys.
This is way cool, I would buy one too. How do you go about getting the Xbox controller to work with the phone tho?

Gamepad case

When is someone going to make a gamepad case that turns my galaxy S3 into a PSP-like emulator boss?
Kinda like this:
http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/07/gpad-another-iphone-gamepad-case/
But I was think of something that just snapped in the front and had analog numbs and a D-Pad.
It would be totally rad and would sell millions.
Not sure if you noticed but this is an option even though it seems to not be exactly what you're looking for. But a PS3 controller is as close to a PSP for cell phones/

That looks pretty cool but it looks like it puts the phone pretty much on top of the buttons.
I'd like to see one in person. Thanks for the info.

GameKlip looks pretty awesome. But I'm not a hardcore player, and don't have space for DualShock in my pocket. There are already two videos to see it in action!
Its cool but a bit too bulky.

That was just the prototype. The actual product gives plenty room for the buttons.
The iControlpad would probably fit the bill for you.

Do you know for sure that that's the right stand? The Arkon stand looks like the middle part would stick out at the back in landscape orientation, but I can't be sure.

Yes, good eyes. Set up like it is in the linked photo it would be too tall but it's quite flexible.
I bought it for my Xoom but it works great in portrait and landscape.

Awesome. What's the farthest you can angle it back without the back part jutting out?
I'm gonna buy one now. Definitely worth 8 bucks.
Its all the way back in the pic and video above. Nice angle for viewing.

For the stand , try a pad pivot. Love mine
I started with the Arkon and then upgraded to the Belkin FlipBlade Adjust which is much more to my liking.

The Archos game pad has built in controls similar to the Xperia Play. Google search it & see for yourself.
Not much tablets has got gaming controls.
PS Vita (small "tablet")
Nexus 7 (isnt for gaming but its cheap and its smooth)

If I should buy a tablet today, it would be the Nexus 7.
I have an Ainol Novo 7 elf already, so I cant really justify the purchase.
I feel that 7 inch is big enough for at tablet, any bigger and it will be to bulky and heavy to play games on, and all apps and games made fore a smaller screen will lock like crap on a 10 inch screen.
Also I hate onscreen touch controller on my phone, but on the 7 inch tablet, i can use them quite comfortably.
The only downside with the Nexus 7 is the lack of micro SD slot, so the 32Gb version is the only one to consider.
Playstation games should work quite well whith Fpse
Games can be played from a usb stick on the nexus 7 now so storage is no longer a problem.
Also, its awesome for gaming, and the sixaxis app makes it all the better
IMO, its the best gaming device out ATM
If you can wait, the wikipad looks to be quite good and is playstation certified too

I've got the transformer prime, and I can easily connect my ps3 controller through the docks usb port. And it has a tegra 3 processor, meaning you can play the tegra hd version of some games.

wow i am impressed!
I probably would have sprung for a Nexus 7, but it doesn't have video/hdmi out. Not having it on our Xperia Plays; I think it becomes more crucial to at least have it from your tablet, unless you just don't care about video out. I believe the WikiPad does have hdmi out. The Nexus 7 is a sweet little tablet though if you don't care about hdmi out.

I am also going to recommend the Wikipad. I have one preordered.
