Paranoid Android ROM-how do I change battery status to display percentage? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

In Cyanogenmod I could display a percentage instead of the filled bar for the battery status, but I can't find a similar option in PA. Any tips?
Also, is there a way to add the menu button permanently to the bottom bar? It bothers me on the homescreen to have to click the lines on the top.

Have you looked in settings > battery to see if its there. That's how it is in omni, might be the same.

[Q] All notification is disabled?

What's the icon on upper left corner?
It seems that all my notification icons are not displayed on the status bar, but still in the pull-down menu.
And the sound notification seems also disabled.
Does anyone know how to disable/enable this option?
I can't remember how I did it.
Thanks

i got this yesterday after trying out k-9 mail. i deleted the app, restarted my phone, and it was gone. samsung tech support said it was a notification from an app, but had no way to track which app it was...

Pull down the notification pane. Scroll the top part with the buttons to your left. You'll see a "Notification" button. Make sure it's green (enabled) and it should go away. If not, another app may be controlling it but that's unlikely.

There isn't a button for notification, but it should tell you what's "on going"

[Q] Status bar behavior, AOKP 4.2.1

Hi,
when i pull down the status bar in AOKP MR1 (4.2.1) i see the quick settings panel if there are no notifications active, and not, as in stock 4.2, the notification drawer(or panel, don't know how to call it).
I'd like to have the stock behavior, so that i can pull down the status bar and ALWAYS see the notification drawer. Is it possible with a simple method? I tried looking in the settings but didn't find any option for this.
Thank you.

You will have to post this on the developers thread. You will not find an answer here most likely. I hope they can help you there!
go in rom control or status bar toggles and make sure you have some toggles enabled then they should show up, hope this helps

Thank you, but the point is I just want the status bar to show me either the notification panel OR the toggles panel when i pull it down (i'd rather to have always the notification panel). It's a bit confusing that you don't know what's going to be shown when you pull it down..

Eh, even though I'm quite flashaholic and spend a lot of time reading on xda, i seldomly post, and unfortunately i still have to reach the 10 posts limit to be able to post in dev threads.
On the other hand, I'm the living proof that xda search button actually works

You should try nova launcher. You can set it to open the taskbar when you swipe down on the home screen.

[Q] How to make drop down home menu stand alive?

Hey,
When I let my phone to be inactive for few seconds - drop down menu from Home disappears. How to make it always "On" so I can see the clock, wireless icon etc.
Thanks!
What exactly do you mean by 'Drop down menu from home?'
Hey, thanks for replay.
Well the drop down menu, one you can access if you slide from up of the screen to down. I basically want to make status bar visible whole time, and status bar seems like part of that drop down menu. So my main question is WRONG - I want visible status bar.

How to get a percentage to appear instead of the default?

I was wondering how to make the battery percent show up vs the default. I have looked all through the settings and have not found it. Starting to think it is not possible..
Only way to do it is to mod the source code or root it and install gravity box.

Through system tuner. Turn on developer settings, pull down the notification shade, long press the gear icon at the top until is starts spinning. Go back to settings and in system tuner you can change a few things in there.

Battery percentage on the notification panel

Hi everyone, just got LG G7 from tmobile. I am confused, almost on every picture on the internet I see battery percentage in the top right corner of the screen. In my case in order for me to see battery % I need to pull down the notification panel. Is there a way to fix that? I already went to battery settings and switched on the option to show the battery % in notifications panel. Please help.

I was about to post the same question so I'm looking for the answer too...
If you go into Settings and then Battery, there is a toggle that says "Battery Percentage on status bar".

Ok, I was just messing with it and you are right. It will never show it in the notch but it toggles that option in the notification drop down.
I love the phone, but seriously, what is the point of calling this a second screen if you still have to pull down the notification bar to see the icons?
I hope they add an option for always show icons....

Hmm, that is kind of odd. I wonder the reasoning for the bug on T-Mobile version?
Oh you know what, he's right. I been too busy gaming to realize it shows all the time outside of games.
Well as you can see in the screenshot below, it does not show up on the T-Mobile version of the G7

I have T-Mobile variant and it does show on mine. Did you update the device?
I'm on T-Mobile, and it's showing just fine for me, no pull-down required. Toggling "Battery percentage on status bar" in Settings | Battery toggles it off and on (for me, anyway).
I did a factory reset and now I have the percentage in the notification bar. Perhaps it a bug??
Has to do with display size. Turn it all the way down.
Go to:
Settings
Display
Display size

You need to enable two things for this to work.
Go into Settings and then Battery and turn on "Battery percentage on status bar". \
You also need to select Standard from New Second Screen settings.

I have both set as you do and it still does not show. I am on to too
Ok tried everything. The only solution that works is to go to display settings and move the slider all the way to the left, the smallest size. Nothing else will work.

Yes this is the only solution that seems to work, good job guys
Now the question is, how do you make display size bigger without loosing the battery % in the notification panel? ?
