Google Edition Silver color - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have a question regarding the color availability for the Google Edition of the HTC One M8, if I check at the Play store it seems to be SILVER color, but it doesn't say anything
https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/HTC_One_M8_Google_Play_edition?id=htc_m8
If I check the HTC web site I can only pick for the developer edition GREY or BRONZE
http://www.htc.com/us/go/buy-now-htc-one-m8/
Is the Developer Edition at HTC different than the Google Edition at the Play store?, bottom line I am looking for a SILVER color, thanks

The only ones that have silver is Verizon and the Google play edition.. The other carriers only have the gun metal gray and gold.. For now anyway..
And yes the developer edition is different than the one on the play store.. I would advise you on reading the reviews and differences videos that are on the Web.. There are plenty of sites that go over the differences.. The only difference between the developer edition and a carrier version is 1. Bootloader is unlocked.. 2. No carrier bloat.. But runs the same software as the carrier version.. Developer edition gets updated faster than carrier editions but kit by much.. The GPE gets updates very quickly..

Thanks, I think the "unlocked" version at HTC.com has the silver color as well. Do you know if the Unlocked or Google Edition phones will work fine leveraging all the LTE bands with T-Mobile in the US?

The Google Edition does support the T-Mobile bands.. I'm not sure about the other versions..

wtf box is that?
mine was rounded, almost like an egg
Same here! Egg box!
That's an odd box. Most of them are made of this awful "recycled card" material in the shape of a rounded rectangle. Not the nicest looking of boxes but it's only a box after all.
Is this thread for real? There are at least fifteen threads that say there is NO TMOBILE AWS SUPPORT. What, do you think everyone is lying that you have to ask to look at the box?

Developer Edition vs Unlocked

What exactly is the difference since both must be unlocked? Also, will the Dev edition be available in Glacial Silver or only in the Grey version? What are the chances the Unlocked version will be hacked to the same level as Dev edition?

right now i ts only available in grey from what i can see, and besides htc themselves, no one knows what will be available.
The difference is unlocked bootloader and not carrier locked. It also has 32GB of memory I think.
I think it uses the same bands as AT&T so be sure to check which bands you need.

[Q] Harman Kardon HTC one m8 unlocked?

I know the HK edition is only available for sprint which in my case is not a good thing. I was wondering If it's possible to find a htc one m8 HK edition unlocked?
Now I know people are going to say why don't you get a regular htc one m8 and just convert it into a HK edition well the thing is I want the HK edition because of the black color. I think the black color looks incredibly amazing.

Clarification on M9 versioning and such

I have a T-Mobile HTC One M9 and I have a few questions. Coming from an iPhone, and previously a Nexus 5, I'm not really familiar with different editions and how HTC does it. So here are my questions:
1. Does every edition (TMo, VZW, ATT, etc) have the same hardware but a different identifier somewhere in a software component?
2. Is it possible for me to "convert" my T-Mobile model into a "generic" one (developer, bought from HTC) without losing OTA capability?
3. What's the WWE edition?
4. What fun can I have with S-OFF?
Anyone who can answer these would have my eternal gratitude! Thank you!

Are you sure?
I've checked the websites of various carriers, and the list different radio bands.
