[Q] Help on All Share in SG2

Hi
I am trying to stream pic/video's on my samsung TV using my SG2 - All share but i couldnt see my Television been listed as a remote devices. I have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and that's also not been listed as one of the devices. Any help?. Do i need to enable anything on my tablet or TV. Thanks for your help. I assume both my samsung TV and tablet are DLNA enabled. Is there a way to check that?
All of the below are on the same Wifi network
TV : Samsung 46'' LED-LCD 1080P 60HZ UN46C5000
Tablet : Samsung Galaxy 10.1
Mobile : SG2
trying to see if i can communicate any of the other ones using All share but till now no success

Wireless display to samsung smart tv says connected then ended, any suggestions to ge

I have new Nexus 7 running clean rom and a Samsung 2013 smart tv. On my TV I go to screen mirroring and then it waits for a device to connect. On the Nexus 7 I go to wireless display and search. It finds my Samsung tv. I click on it, the nexus 7 says connecting and the TV says connecting to device as well. Then the TV says device connected. On the nexus it still says connecting. Then the TV goes black and then says screen mirroring has ended. On nexus it goes from connecting to my Samsung TV not being on the list anymore. On my Verizon galaxy s3 screen sharing works fine.
Do I need the allshare app on the nexus for this to work correctly? If so is there a version compatible with the new nexus 7?
If I don't need allshare app is there a mod I can do to get this to work?
Thanks for any help.

Do you have a samsung phone, with allshare cast on it? if not you may want to check for a software update / firmware update for your TV as the allshare cast dongle required a update for "Screen Mirroring" to work instead of being locked down to just samsung devices with "AllshareCast", even though AllshareCast is Miracast, which is what the n7's screen mirroring is.

Yes my Verizon Galaxy S3, which works fine on the TV and does have allshare cast on it. I did a firmware update on my TV about a week ago and just tried the screen mirroring today with that result. I will try again when I get home to see if maybe the nexus just needed a reboot and to see if any new firmwares came about on my TV since the last one.

I don't know that it's applicable to tv's also, but does your s3 have the allsharecast dongle software update, that was updated July 30th installed? It does kind of have a small reference to tv's in the app description, but it's horribly translated to English , so who knows what all it applies to really lol

I have exactly the same case here - unable to use my Samsung smart tv as wireless display for my N7 flo. Any ideas?
Exact same here with Nexus 4 and new 75F6300, with all updates.
Nexus 4 works fine with LG TVs that I tried.

So it should be samsung TV incompatibility then.
I never had luck getting this to work, but I wondered if the google chromecast, or any device in its $35 price range, can be used to successfully screen mirror from the new nexus 7.

Guys, if you are running custom roms and kernels, the chances of screen mirroring is near zero.
I see reports of some custom roms and kernels for my S4 with working display mirroring but that's like a 1 in 20 chance and I never could find one that worked for me. However, stock rom and kernel (even rooted) worked for me on the S4.
I'm running 4.3 stock rooted on my N7 and miracast work fine as well.
I'm using PTV3000 as the sink device so may be different from standalone TVs.

Your so right about that I have a locked bootloader xperia z on existenz rom based on stock xperia rom and I get screen mirror errors but the developer of the rom says its fine for him but ive only experience these errors since kitkat was released for xperia z ive been on about three different custom roms based on stock for xperia z and only one of those roms had working screen mirroring @niaboc79 please fix this problem ive been asking you for months cany you promise me it will be fixed in v2.0 please dont care how long it takes
Here it is 4 years later and I still can't find a solution.
Custom marshmallow roms usually support miracast, it should work with your older TV, nougat does not as I know, that's why I bought a used chromecast2. May a Dev will take care for it in the near future for nougat.
I have a Galaxy s7 and I'm screen mirror from my fire stick and it's been working just fine I been watching movies, now when I try to screen mirror to watch more movies it keeps saying smart view connection ended. What does this means?

[Q] [SM-T805] Can't enable screen mirroring

Hello, so I've just bought the 10"5 Tab S and I can't enable screen mirroring.
My TV is a Sony KDL-40R470B, I can enable the screen mirroring just fine with Galaxy Note 3, but not the Tab S.
Any idea how I could solve this ?
And, this spanking new Tab S 10.5 doesn't even support Chromecast Screen Mirroring either! Come-on Samsung!!!
I was only successful wireless screen mirroring to an old Samsung miracast device. So, other than using an HDMI adapter tethered, it seems the initial firmware out of the box on the Tab S is ancient technology compared to the Note Tabs and Galaxy phones which can screen mirror to Chromecast.
I would think Chromecast screen mirroring problem would lie with Google and the Chromecast app not Samsung.
If you are rooted you can use the below app to enable it.

Just more android fragmentation garbage apparently.
I found this article a good read though, but it just leaves an Android user in the blind about what supported features will be available.

Thing is, I'm not using chromecast, I have a smart TV and just enable mirroring with Wi-Fi, I didn't plug anything on the TV.
Works flawlessly with the note 3, but can't enable it on the tab S.
Would that app be worth trying in my case ?
Fixed?

So after 20 minutes of this I sorted it out. I had a private internet access app running so that all my traffic is encrypted and routed overseas. It just sets up a VPN, so I think if you have a VPN running then it won't work. That was my problem, hopefully this helps you.

Cast screen android device to android device?

Hi I have an stock Nexus 7 running android. I have been looking for a way to cast my phone onto my tablet. I want my S6 to connect to my nexus via whatever means (preferably a wireless means bluetooth, wifi, etc...). I kind of want my nexus to be essentially a touchscreen monitor for my phone.
The only things I can find when I search for this are all related to chromecast and miracast trying to use their android devices to cast to their TV's.
Thank you for you assistance.
Easy...
- on your phone install https://opensourceexcedio.wordpress.com/2010/10/28/droid-vnc-server/
- on N7 install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.realvnc.viewer.android
As an extra bonus you'll be also able to control your phone from Linux/Mac/Windoze.
Thanks for the advice. I am having trouble getting it to work but this seems to be what I am trying to do.
