[Q] Restore stock hboot - T-Mobile HTC One (M8)

Hey all,
I have a beautiful t-mobile M8, and I wanna flash a fixed hboot (no red text!). I made a dd backup of my stock hboot, would just flashing it via dd work if I wanted to return my phone to stock hboot? Thanks!

Honestly I don't see the point anymore since the red text only shows up when you boot into recovery.

Help! Cant access recovery

Hi guys, I rooted my phone (2.1 stock/unbranded) using unrevoked, then I flashed my ROM with OpenDesire using clockworkmod. After that I can't access clockworkmod so I installed ROM Manager and flashed it again (works).
After that I flashed it again with updated* HTC 2.10 ROM from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741663, then bootloop. So I removed the battery, and now I can't access the recovery(only hboot or whatever you call it).
What should i do guys?
Do you have s-off? Flash a new recovery from fastboot if you do, you can run a stock htc ruu from fastboot too, s-off isnt needed for that.

Clockwork Mod

how to completely remove the clockwork mod from my DHD. I even flashed the stock rom, and when i go to factory reset after powering down and booting into stock recover, it keeps showing clockwork recovery menu
You have to flash a RUU to completely revert to stock (you still have radio S-OFF after flashing a RUU).
Bootloader is S-ON again and cwm is gone

After reverting to stock rom, it still goes into clockwork, if i try to do factory reset.
You have to run the s-off/e-off tool again to remove it completely

Even after flashing a RUU? D:

Yes, even after flashing RUU, it was still going into clockwork, then I searched for a recovery.img file for DHD, I found it and flashed it using the fastboot command and then reported and voila!, it was back into stock recovery and no more clockwork. Nevertheless, thank u all for ur support.

[Q] Why do I get a /!\ symbol when I try to boot into recovery?

I've rooted my stock DHD with VisionaryPlus and installed ClockWorkMod with ROM Manager.
When I try to boot into recovery, I get a red triangle with a ! inside, and the only thing I can do then is physically remove the battery.
The phone works fine otherwise, but I need to solve this problem if I'm ever going to back up my ROM or flash a new one. Can anyone help?
SOLVED: hadn't done s-off.
Probably the clockwork recovery is broken.. try flashing again i guess..
Thats stock recovery, after you root, you need to s-off before you can flash cwm......

How do I s-off?
One Click S-Off tool.
Solved, thanks! I'm now fully backed up and running MIUI.

[Q] HTC One X Help Required

hi,
I just want to ask some noob questions, as I don't play around my set so much.
1) First of all, do I have to be on stock recovery to check for updates also ?
2) I rooted my phone using Hasoon's Toolkit and installed TWRP Recovery (didn't install a custom rom yet, on stock 4.1.1), but made a backup before flashing recovery. Do i have to flash stock RUU to come again to stock, or I can flash the backup I made before flashing the recovery ?
3) How i can find my stock RUU, my CID is TMOB_005.
Regards,
Kashif Rafiq
100+ views no reply, no one is ready to help ?
Can anyone with same CID confirm, whether update recieved or not ?

You can receive OTA updates if you have the following; stock recovery, stock rom, locked or unlocked bootloader.
I don't know where the RUU is for your CID but I'm sure there is a thread with it in somewhere.

Since u haven't flash a custom Rom you are stock, u just need to flash back the stock recovery and wait for tmobile to release the update. No need to relock.

I have downloaded stock recovery for my CID (TMOB-005), will executing these commands in fastboot mode restore stock status
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecoveryfile.img
fastboot erase cache
I have stock 4.1.1 rom already installed.

correct
And just to answer your other question, save the backup you made in twrp onto your computer in case you need it later, this is your nandroid. Then if you install a custom Rom and need to go back to stock at some time you just need to flash the boot.img from your backup and then flash your nandroid in recovery
Now go get the cakes
i've flashed the stock recovery, but after flashing when i try to go into recovery it shows red triangle with exclamation mark

That's correct
Now go get the cakes
is this the stock recovery, with no options of backup and restore (i haven't seen this before) ??? strange
anyone with CID TMOB-005 confirm whether update received or not ?
Nothing yet, we'll be one of the last carriers to get it as always...

Hmm same as me you might want to try ruuing back to stock but you need to be s-off if you don't want to have to relock the boot loader type HTC one m8 nandroid backup unless you have one on your sdcard restore to that install sunshine and follow on screen instructions it will cost 25$ but its worth it

I had the same issue, I had to flash the latest ruu to update the firmware and solved my issue of running venom
