I have a (chinese?) Galaxy S IV Clone, and I'd really like to install a better rom if available, as the original is full of bloatware and has a poor memory management.

it is not going into download mode.
i want to revert it into its original condition.

Wrong place but:
Turn off your phone.
Once it's off, hold the Volume Down button and the Power button.
Right when you see the first Samsung logo, let go of the buttons and it should send you to Download Mode.
(Hold Volume Up button instead of Volume down for Recovery Mode).

I hope you have found your answer by now with a search. If not...
UNLOCKING allows you to take a GSM (SIM card) phone to any carrier
ROOTING allows you SuperUser (full administrative) access to your devices Android OS
You'll find that this phone is rather easy to root, let me know if you still need some help.
