[SHARE][GUIDE]Change boot animation on Galaxy Fame stock based - Samsung Galaxy Fame

Hi just want to share this to change boot animation on fame
In CWM mount /system
Just flash bootanimation4u.zip
Then boot gears-bootanimation.zip
Lastly bootanimation4u.samsumgani.zip to avoid bootloop
You can change the boot animation using root explorer by changing the bootanimation.zip file in /system/media by your preffered boot anim, set correct permission rw-r-r
I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone
This is my first post so please correct me if i'd done something wrong
-Credits to smokin1337 don't forget to thank him

Yes I read the post.
You cannot mount mmcblk0p4 (param partition) on the SGS3.
Mount gives an I/O error.

Bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg.

Uh...not what I asked. The boot logo is on the param partition (mmcblk0p4).
How do I mount mmcblk0p4 so I can change the boot logo. The method for the SGS2 does not work - it uses /dev/block/stl6 which does not exist on the sgs3.
Can somebody post the boot sounds for power on and power off (shut down)?
Thanks.

Works fine on XXUFME7 odex if you extract the files and push to appropriate folders (I didn't try flashing the Zip) using a root browser. Remember to backup or rename existing files, set permissions to 6-4-4 on new files and reboot.
I like the boot sound, but went back to the stock S3 boot animation as found the new one a bit garish
Wow!!
Thanks

My phone is running the stock boot animation and bootanimation.zip isn't present.
First off, in system/media/audio/ui I renamed poweron.ogg to poweron.bak and pushed the new sound file to the same location and set permissions to 6-4-4.
Secondly, in system/media I renamed bootsamsung, bootsamsungloop and shutdown qmg files to .bak (the other three files aren't present on my phone) then pushed all six qmg files to the same location, set permissions on all six to 6-4-4 and rebooted.
The new boot animation, boot sound and shutdown animation all worked fine.
EDIT:
You may need to disable custom boot animations first for it to work (ie: no bootanimation.zip).
This thread (see post #5) has files to flash in clockworkmod for enable/disable custom boot animation - I have not personally used it so offer no guarantees but hopefully it will help.
