AFAIK trinity rom had stopped development. I personal recommend you to flash existenz rom. It is based on official jb 4.1 so it is the most stable rom for now. In performance part, it is very smooth with doomkernel installed and if you wan to tweak for more smooth experience, crossbreeder+v6supercharger is recommend. i am using these tweaks and now my phone is flying

1. These kind of topics are against the rules
2. Paranoid android by deedwar is the stableist at the moment

All gingerbread roms are stock 2.3.4 with the developers theme and a few tweaks/scripts already installed. Most roms won't affect battery life, what you need to do is install a custom kernel i.e. doomlords which will give you a performance and battery boost.
EDIT- Also some apps may have been added/removed.

Best ROM and kernel for Arc?

Hey all,
I've just bought one of these and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
In the meantime, I'm looking for custom ROMs and kernels to use but there are just so many.
The reason I bought one is because I bricked my previous phone. I'm currently using a really old phone and intend to use the Arc as soon as I get it and I probably won't have a lot of time to do testing of my own.
What I'm looking for is a really stable ROM that has good performance and very little bloat installed. As for the kernel, whatever people think is the best will do. I probably won't be overclocking the phone (most likely underclocking) as the main thing I want from my phone is good battery life.
Thanks for any input!
jjHybrid Rom 3.2 and Arcknight kernel 3.3 no overclock.

You have to search and find yourself, what features are important and what not, what do you want to use it for and if you want GB or ICS.

So my phone arrived and it's been updated to 4.1.B.0.587.
The bootloader is locked and I want to keep it that way just because I don't want to mess anything up.
I was wondering am I able to installed the locked bootloader version of JJ's Hybrid ROM 3.2 Stable on 4.1.B.0.587?
Thanks.
PS - I would have asked this on the development thread, but I don't have enough posts to post there.

You must root your phone using this method
Then you can proceed to JJ's Hybrid
best kernel is the stock kernel
and the best rom is the stock rom with all bloatwares manually removed, manually tweaked, manually supercharged, manually installed Mods...
install watever u want and delete watever u dont want..simple!!

Had been using MIUI (Chi Ver) for a month and then gave up.
JJ's HYBRID ROM v3.2 is good but I had to install the AnyLocale.apk and JAYS_Headset_Control.apk to make it works.
Been using Xperia Ice Cream Pureness (Build 10) with .431 then .587 for a week and love it.
Love them both because of the on screen button.

JJ's and CM9, which one you would like a bit more ?
I did tried several ROMs but never the CM series before :silly:
..
If you don't care about graphical user interface ,defintely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues

[Q] Which ROM among these is best?

Hello, My Gio is running on Android 2.3.3 I have shortlisted these ROM's but I am confused as to which one is best. The ROM's are as follows -:
1. Jellaxy CM9
2. Jellaxy CM10
3. The Myth
Which among these is most stable and is under heavy development.
My Gio is already rooted and I will be installing CWM today itself.
And if possible please do tell which one is latest as on Jellaxy site there are many downloads for CM9 and CM10.
Hoping to heard from you all soon.
Thank you for reading.

Depends on usage..
GB will always be more stable than cm9/10 but its nice to have the latest android version on your device.

I think both cm9 and cm 10 are still laggy. cm7 is better off.
Go for CM7, there are no better options yet.

adrenaline rom is awesome. smooth and lag free.
Depends on what you want.
If you want a good battery life ROM , stable ,fast & smooth i recommend you ADRENALINE ICS OR ADRENALINE ROM.
If you want a fancy design and get off the stock interface use cm9 or cm10 but watch out : that roms are unstable , battery life is poor and not so smooth.
Your choice.
Good luck.

i agree with u but i love Jellybean ( original , not combo between Jelly and ICS).
Any ROM with Paranoid settings which allow you to set dpi for single apps is awesome. I have compiled paranoid android 2.55 and put link in thread in dev section of you wanna try. Camps is also pretty awesome but my phone got really sluggish with that so I use regular PA.
Skickat från min Xperia Arc S via Tapatalk 2
If You are looking for GB based Roms then X-Gamer v1.6, this will give you an Internal Mem of 355MB, and RAM of nearly 240MB after installation and its stable too. If ICS based Roms then JelleySandwich 7.4. its stable (by stable i mean after installation everything works).
The above Roms i have tested it on LT15i with LB though.
new rom

that new one is beautiful:good:
Cm10 based ROM: RacingBean v3.0 ! Very very Fast and stable ! :good:
We're not allowed to ask this kind of questions. Every rom is good. But it depends on ones needings.
Gb rom is always preferred if u want smoothness.
For interface you must try ics or jb..
