[Q] Storage expansion with SanDisk Connect? - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone have a SanDisk Wireless Mobile? To Test with the Fire TV? I just saw these on Amazon Advertising as a storage solution for a Kindle Fire HDX. If sideloaded could this app and drive be a(sort of) solution for storage on the Fire TV?:fingers-crossed:

[Q] Kodi USB storage

How can I transfer both types of data from Kodi to an external USB on my Amazon Fire TV. I notice some is stored on my USB and the rest is kept on the Amazon Fire TV by the looks of it? The app itself is on USB but all Application Data stays on the Fire TV which is annoying...
Thanks

Amazon fire TV / stick

Hello, I'm struggling to find much info but I'm trying to figure out if this is the right forum for Amazon fire TV stick, I'm seeing lots of stuff for Amazon fire TV but is this the exact same as fire TV stick?
I'm basically wanting to have my fire TV stick setup with something like Nova launcher and install a TV app for watching TV and also a few other apps for TV shows ect.
Any info would be gratefully received and if I'm in the wrong place I apologise but if you could point me into the correct place that would be great.
Thanks
I have both and the Fire TV is better/faster. The Fire Stick is good if you plan to move it around to different TVs or take it with you while you travel.
They are basically the same thing though, just one has better specs. If this is for your main living area I would get the Fire TV not the stick.

Kindle Fire HD 8.9 HDMI connection problem.

I am running lineage OS on my KFHD 8.9. I purchased a micro HDMI to standard HDMI cable so I could connect my KFHD 8.9 to my TV to watch shows on Kodi.
When I attach the cable to my TV and my Kindle Fire I don't see anything on my screen. I tried it on both of my TV's. The TV does recognize that a component is hooked up. It just doesn't show anything on the screen.
Has anybody experienced these problems? Any ideas on how to fix it?

FTV Cube and USB Storage?

So about a month ago I upgraded ONE of my 2nd Gen FireTV boxes to a FireTV Cube to try it out (due $69 sale and having a 4K HDR TV)... one thing I'm not understanding is how the Cube deals with USB Memory Stick as storage.. Reading -> http://www.aftvnews.com/everything-...ternal-drives-peripherals-flirc-otg-and-more/ it appears I should be able to use it (similar to how I used the MicroSD on my 2nd Gen FireTV box, or the USB stick on my 1st Gen Fire TV box).
Part of my question centers around the following... the article talks about "External Storage" and "Device Storage" modes. Which is prefered? One of the main reasons for wanting the USB storage is to move my KODI/MRMC data to the USB Stick, similar to how i moved it on the 2nd Gen box. No matter which option I picked, I can't seem to access the USB Stick via ADB to move the Kodi/MRMC data to it (like I how I moved it on the 1st/2nd gen box).
Has anyone done this? can you provide any details/info?

Been messing with this for mos ... Came from a T95Z which mounts drives with no issue ... Fire TV can only natively mount FAT32.
So far I've tried to side-load Paragon NTFS which won't work without Google Play Services ... that hasn't worked ...
There are some other solutions like Stickmount which require root...
I also tried to transcode some MKVs into 4GB parts to fit on a FAT32 Partition, but the encoding failed (and it had been ages since I did this)
What a PITA ... Amazon obvi does this on purpose.
Old-school Fire TVers - please chime in and let us know how you have been mounting NTFS volumes in Fire TV and if these methods are possible on FireTV Cube.

How to use External speaker with Calling Apps

Hello Everybody
I was trying to replace my Apple iPad Mini 4 with Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8" (8th Generation) tablet.
The Kindle fire was mostly offered a satisfactory experience.
But i found the built-in speaker to be inadequate for video / voice calling apps.
The applications either always uses the internal speaker or produces no sounds when connected via Bluetooth.
Please help me to use external speaker with Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8" (8th Generation) while using calling apps.
