Those values in camera settings should have been defaulted once u flashed the rom. Change them to 1080p and 8 mp.

ALL CM7/ANDROID 2.3 ROMS CANNOT AUTO FOCUS!!
I mean in htc sense, the camera will auto focus before taking the video.. but in 2.3 roms it wont! so our camera is almost useless cause the quality is like my sony ericsson k320i!
Is there please a possibilety to auto focus when recording video?

Using lgCamera is an alternative, it has auto focus. Other than that... no idea.

i mean video recoding eh, auto focus with taking pictures is working great yes! but video not!
EDIT: oh yea, and LG camera wont auto focus with video though

Changing in design (icons, zoom bar, etc.).
Tap to focus while video recording added (HTC Desire line only!).

Video fixes will be coming soon. i believe the only one with working video is InsertCoin. RCMix S is coming out tonight with fixed video.

i think its rom related then.. cause sense rom DO got auto focus in video.. but 2.3 clean AOSP not..
Well, the camcorder should be working correctly now. Lots of ROMS have the new update since today.
I'm on Oxygen 2.1.1 and I have no touch focus in the still camera.
I still wouldn't change to any other rom though, its stability and battery life are too good to consider anything else.

I'd like to change the video resolution for my HOX camera , there is only three choices: FHD / HD/ MMS .
I want to change it to VGA (640 *480) or QVGA ( 320 *240) in order to record small size video to send it in application like whatsapp .
I have installed google edition camera, but it gave only SD( 720 * 480) option beside the FHD / HD ,beside that the audio quality when I used it was so so low .
any help would be appreciated .

The only application i find is Angel Camera DX https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.haibis.android.angelcameradx&hl=it, it allows to change the video quality in many quality format, the issue is that the application isn't free

I tried that app , it indeed let me record VGA or QVGA videos , but when I open the whatsapp app and pick record video from the app , I do not see it ,just the stock camera recorder .!!!

Only slow motion not working but all are working fine
On RRemix N this version works on sd card selection, slow motion does not work.

You should credit the creator of the mod (provide a link to the original OP), and test freatures before posting here saying that "everything works" when its not the case..

Redmi 3S cannot record neither play 4K video because it doesn't have decoder. I have tried this camera. If you use 4K option video will be recorded as 1080p. How can a phone without 4K playback support record videos in 4K????

I noticed a issue with screen recording in my phone. If I record a video on my phone, which maybe just be a few seconds.... is shown with a length of 46 hours or so and the video is not playable. I have this issue on Pixel Experience Rom. I believe I had this issue when I was using default MIUI. I tried different cameras but results are same. Need help....m

I believe that these bugs started to show up after I viewed a whatsapp video which was similarly hours long....but was just a few MB in size. I reset my phone to install PE rom and once again recently. I believe the video recording was in working condition before I installed whatsapp.....is my whatsapp hacked or something???
UPDATE
I fixed it. The issue was with the camera video recording. I cleared Dalvik/ART cache and it worked. Sorry for posting updates late

"different cameras" ??? you talk about screen rec or camera rec ?
1-if screeen rec :
try "oos screen recorder"
install then add it in quick setting
2-if camera :
use H264 and not H256 in video encoding option

this has nothing to do with broken recording unless you have some wired wsp mod that require root or something ...

I'm currently using evolution x custom rom adnroid 11 for redmi note 8 (gingko) and I have never been able to record any video. Any app that I use crashes or doesn't record the video at all. When they do, it has a weird long length and doesn't play at all. I even tried ANX camera but it also crashes when I try to take a video. Video stabilization also doesn't work in ANX camera as well. Is there a solution for this?

new A11 releases have miui cam now,and it worx
