See that HTC816 launched in Hong Kong, any chance to get this rom to replace mine from China?

Hey all, this is a newbie user of Desire.
My Desire is from Singapore (according to the HTC customer centre by checking my IMEI) and I am currently in Hong Kong. I think this is the reason why I haven't receive the OTA in HK region. However, I know Singapore has released the Froyo update in this week, how come I have not received any.
Desperately look forward for Froyo for long. Hope you guys can help!

You can manually update to Froyo via SD card here is a link how to do it.

I bought HTC One X and found out it might be the African version somehow. The languages I have are English (Angola)/Nigeria/South Africa with not international or US versions.
How can I flash the international version/software/rom/locale...?
I have no idea what to do, I just wanted the international version, can I change my phone's software so it becomes identical to the international version?

Can't without S-OFF
I am wondering if I buy a HTC One M8 in Taiwan, is it going to be compatible with Thailand (SE Asia) networks and radios ?
I did just that with my HTC One X a few years back and I had to manually change the radio to have it work and I don't want to go through that again...
Is it going to be the same ?

I have HTC 816W 2 sim card , i bought from china ( china unicom)
I managed to flash it to MEA version by CWM firmware backup
all ok now except start up logo still China unicom
is there any way to change it to default HTC start up ?
