[Q] I´d like add new apps for all users on my tablets like sistem apps. it´s posible? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

When I create new users, they can use all the stocks apps (Gmail, youtube, G+...). I´d like to add more apps to use for all the new users ( f.e. file manager, titanium,...) and remplace the sistem app that I don´t use for others more usefull for me.
I try to add one app to sistem/app, and I can find it like a sistem app with Titanium, but it not appear on the rest of the users...
How can I do it? is posible?

Delete Programs from Cooked ROM

Hi people!
this is my first post here ^^
i have an HTC Tilt2 with the latest Energy Rom " Standard 'Reference' ".
The problem is that the ROM itself comes with a lot of programs that i dont Like / need and i want to delete them.
How can i do that if they arent shown on the Uninstaller Manager ? Is there any program that can do that? or can i edit the rom with my custom settings ?
thanks in advance!
If it is in ROM, it can not be deleted. Find a different ROM that has what you want and don't want or cook your own.

what are the programs that you NEED to delete and why? just remove them from the tabs if they bother you. deleting them (which you cant do) wont do anything anyway.

What sort of apps do you want?
Im sure that if you looked around the desire forums in the apps sections you will find some .apk Then you just copy them onto your internal memory in winmo and then in android you just find them in a whatever filemanager is included in android and I think you can install them there!

deleting useless files (languages) from android possible ?

Hi there,
Just came from ios world and wanted to know if it's possible to delete unwanted keyboard and app language files (can be big..).
On iOS a simple script to scan XXX.proj (wich are the languages files) and so can slim down for good the phone.
As i can see some ppl made a custom slim ROM like 69MB on Gnex with only few languages.
Does someone know how to do it and if it's simple ?
Cheers,
even if u do that, i dont think you get any benefits..u dont get free space to install more apps anywyay
the android rom is in /system, while the app u install go in /data

[Q] How to customize a Bada FW?

I want to start doing some FW modifications of my own, but I have some trouble finding a good place to start. Even with using the search function . Maybe someone can point me to some good links to get started?
Here's what I want to be able to do:
Customize FW settings (such as percentual battery display)
Move preinstalled apps from one FW to another
Remove apps from FWs (such as Caster or Music Hub)
Remove CSCs, languages, keyboards
Hack the Firmware to identify as Wave 3
Make stuff like Caster or Music Hub uninstallable
Basically, what I want to do is to make a customized FW that will have a lot of application memory free and will therefore be able to play any game (such as Asphalt 6, Tintin). I'm thinking about leaving only those CSCs/languages/keyboards in that a specific region needs and, maybe, provide special files for multiple regions.
Wave_Remaker is good and easier Tool for "Starter"...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028714
Knowledge in open files in Text or better in HEX Editor is not bad.
Also Tool TriX is very powerfull.
Best Regards
Thank you!
I already have the Wave Remaker, can Trix do anything that Wave Remaker can't? Using Hex- and Text-Editors is also no problem at all. I'm a software-developer .
But, these are only the tools I need. I'm in search for descriptions and tutorials on how to do the stuff that I asked for.
Infos are spread over whole forum...
Depend what you exactly want...
Yes, I have read your first post...
Main difference...
Type A
Changes/Mods AFTER Firmwareupdate...
Few Things can be changed with sTune or TkFileExplorer...
Copy and Paste single files...
Risk that files are secured or write protected or changes take no effect...
Dataloss possible.
Depend on Firmware...
Type B.
Changes BEFORE Firmwareupdate...
Highest chance for successfully mod, but also possible to fail...
Few features from Trix in Wave_Remaker... but not all... its not 1:1 same...
Depend what you want...
Move preinstalled apps from one FW to another

Maybe start with this.
Write exact your idea, or make it...
Then better support... possible.
Otherwise use search.
Best Regards

[GUIDE] Streamlining the EmotionUI

Hi there!
Only just recently owning the P6, one of the first things I do is streamlining the rom. Even though EmotionUI is nice, its packed with stuff I (and you most probably too) don't use.
HOW TO REMOVE SYSTEM APPS:
Step 1) Get your P6 rooted
Step 2) Get an app thats able to remove or freeze (disabling) system apps, like this
Step 3) Remove any unwanted apps. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF ONE APPS' PURPOSE, GOOGLE IT, OR LEAVE IT ALONE.
BARE MINIMUM LIST:
I've been testing the removal of apps, and made a list of the one's you should keep at a bare minimum (or the apps cannot be removed).
AndroidHWEXT (Got something to do with the text that's shown in Android)
APNreminder (used for showing Acces Point Names)
Backup (speaks for itself, for making/restoring backups)
Bluetooth.apk (I hardly use this, but removing it causes crashes)
Camera.apk (Somehow I cannot remove this)
CertInstaller.apk (Needed for installing apps)
CMParts.apk (Needed after resetting the phone)
Contacts.apk (Needed for storing contacts)
ContactsProvider.apk (Practically the same as above)
DefaultContainerService.apk (Basic system stuff)
DrmProvider.apk (Secures the stuff on your phone)
HuaweiHome (homescreen, do not remove when no replacement is installed, like Nova Launcher)
MediaProvider.apk (Needed for providing images, music etc. but also ringtones, system sounds and the alarmclock)
Mms.apk (System SMS MMS Program)
PackageInstaller.apk (Installs your apps)
Phone.apk (System phone app)
Profiles (needed for vibration)
Settings.apk (for getting into settings)
SimToolKit (all sorts of SIM-related info is read and stored via this)
SUPL20Services (???? anyone?)
SystemUI (speaks for itself)
ToolBox (basic tools?)
Wifi(hotspot) (needed for wifi)
<to be updated>
NOT RECOMMENDED
I recommend not to remove these apps for the purpose they serve. Removing them will most probably not make your phone unusable.
DoblySound.apk (Used by the Music app)
AGPS.apk (used for improving GPS)
<to be updated>
GENERAL LIST OF APPS AND THEIR PURPOSE:
<to be updated>
REMEMBER! I am in NO WAY responsible for what YOU are doing to YOUR device. Use common sense. I'm just trying to help making the P6 an even nicer device to use!
Suggestions, questions, corrections, experiences, please share them!
Cheers
If you bought your phone from your carrier and it comes with a lot of carrier apps, plus if you don't want to see them again when you do a factory restore, you can delete them using file managers like the root explorer by delete everything in the /cust/(your carrier name)/en(or your language)/delapps/ folder.
I have a China Mobile version of Huawei P6 (P6-T00) and this worked for me, but I am not responsible for any damage that happens to your phone.

@lotero: Search the PlayStore for "Locale and Language " App... (your phone needs to be rooted, playstore needs to be copied to /system/app. Don't forget to set permissions to rw-r--r--)
