Is it you screen that not responding?
- If you turn off your phone and do VolDown+Power, to get in bootloader
- plug your phone in pc
- open a window cmd where you have the fastboot.exe and the recovery.img of CWM
- and type : fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Well I'm not an expert, but with CWM recovery you wont be able to restore 4ext backups.
Or maybe just restart, remove battery, re flash the 4ext recovery (from the link on my first post) first to see if the touch will come back.

true that , if you can get non- touch 4ext recovery it will be better.
Maybe move the ribbon cable on the phone to see if the touch is getting working back.
Have you rooted your phone by yourself?
* I meant fastboost.exe, not adb.exe
1. Download sdk and install : http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html?hl=sk
2. Found the folder where fastboot.exe is and copy the recovery.img from the recovery of your choice. Lets try the 4ext first if it fixes the problem
3. Boot your device in bootloader : VolDown+power. you must be in ''fastboot usb'' notice in red. Usb connected of course
4. In the folder where the fastboot.exe is , shift+right click, choose ''open a commend window here''
5. type : fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

after i go into "fastboot", and search device via "Fastboot device"...its not showing my device what can i do now?
i think its need USB Debugger, so how to enable it now?

OK, can anyone tell me how to survive from this?
i installed AOSB on it before the cracking, and when i setup, its crashing like this "unfortunately setup wizard has stopped."....!!
how to bypass this error

how to flash rom from bootloader ?

if your device doesn't see wit the command fastboot device ,you must verify that the fastboot driver (htc bootloader) is corectly installed

mmm, if I do remember, it won't detect your device with '' fastboot devices'', can you just type : fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ?
and then you should have something like : sending 'recovery' (5602 KB)... ......
usb debuggin is when you device is running the rom and you want to use adb or other stuff through the usb cable

if fastboot device doesn't work fastboot flash also.
i know i can't uses fastboot with my phone becauses i'm running windows 8.1 and the driver isn't compatible

See the fastboot guide in the thread I linked you, it will explain how to get it up an running again

You should be installing asob v129, v130 isn't working for us. By the way, you don't necessarily need fastboot to flash a recovery.

thanks to all all are great friends...thanks
tell me just one thing, how can i flash a recovery or rom without entering on recovery? and is it possible to flash that from bootloader only?
i'm using Windows 8.1...so do i need to install windows 7 on my pc to get install the driver for fastboot?

Win 8.1 has issues with the fastboot drivers, maybe dual boot a Linux distro or run a live CD
Actually, if you have an external card reader or a way to transfer a file to your SD card I'll just make a .zip for you that should fix your issue, let me know as I'm almost down with my paper I can just whip it up real quick

put this on the root of your sd card (so not in any folders)
then boot into bootloader
except yes on your phone
it will flash a non touch version of 4ext recovery
(you will need to remove it from your sd card or it will always try to update)
boot to recovery
flash rom or restore backup
done

thanks bro...!!! sooo much..
i'll report u soon...

restart bootloader is the one you need.
you need the fastboot files as well as the drivers from your computer
this is return to stock, but you can get all the drivers and tools you need here.

once in the bootloader, type the command in a command prompt like i said.

No need to scavenge, it's on Clockworkmod's website: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Go to www.clockworkmod.com
Click on "ROM Manager"
Scroll until you find Galaxy Nexus
Click on the farthest link (Under the "Download Touch Recovery)
Move the file to the same directory as fastboot.exe (assuming that you got everything) (Also recommend renaming the file to something shorter, like cwm.img)
Make sure that your phone has USB Debugging checked
After you plug your Nexus via USB (Assuming that you got drivers ready), Shift+Right click on the directory where you got fastboot.exe and stuff
On the menu, click on "Open command window here"
On your phone, reboot into the bootloader
On your computer, type in "fastboot devices" so you know that fastboot is reading the Nexus
Type in "fastboot flash xxx.img" (xxx=name of the clockworkmod recovery)
Hopefully this helped you
Alternative way is to just simply download ROM manager on your rooted Nexus and flash the CWM touch there. (Though I'm not sure if you can flash CWM touch with the ROM manager...)
Here is how u manually install a Recovery.
First!!! You must go to this website and select your device's recovery!!!!

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Second!!! You must download the android SDK and install the platform-tools!!! Place the recovery in platform-tools!!!
Third!!! Open a command Prompt. Then copy the directory to the command prompt.
Then type in what you see. DO NOT COPY RECOVERY-CLOCKWORK-TOUCH-TORO-6.0.1.0-TORO.IMG!!!!
Type down your version of what you downloaded. It will be similar or the same.
Then put your phone into fastboot. Then press enter on the computer and done!!!
The only thing I left out was downloading & installing the SDK.
Understand??? Any questions???

If I have helped you.... hit that sexy thanks button. ^_^
You should take everyone's suggestion and figure out how to use fastboot.
Once you've figured it out, and flashed it, if you want a shortcut for future reference, download this, and replace the recovery.img file in it with the downloaded CWM that you want (making sure you renamed it recovery.img.

or you can just leave it named how it is for version keeping. instead of recovery.img, you just make it whatever the file name is. (tab is very helpful for finishing off a file name)

[Q] Help making my phone alive again

So, I bought a HTC Desire a few days ago and as I've got a ROM I do not like and I've got problems with my SD card I wanted to do some reflashes but I unfortunately cannot. I'm new in the whole Android world but have read a bit already.
When I start the phone with vol. down + power I've got the following info:
Code:
-Revolutionary-
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.11.05.27
The problem that 'showed' even more problems after some research:
My phone doesn't recognize my new Adata microSDHC card.
I cannot mount it through recovery, got this error:
Code:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(No such file or directory)
Tried this as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17874798&postcount=3
The freaking problem is that I always receive such error:
Code:
FAILED (status malformed (1 bytes))
I found out that my USB is bricked, read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691639
But again, I cannot even check my CID using fastboot oem boot, I'm all the time getting this 'status malformed' thing.
Any ideas folks?
EDIT:
My ROM is: Oxygen-2.3.2-Brave
And kernel: 2.6.35.14_r3-stable [email protected] #1
What recovery do you currently have installed?
If you dont have 4ext, i would recommend installing it. It has a usb unbrick feature, which may solve your problem.
Since the sd card isnt recognized the best way to install it would be through fastboot.
Setup adb/fastboot using this guide. Also make sure you install these fastboot drivers
-Download the 4ext recovery img from here
-Extract the zip and put the recovery img in your android-sdk/platform-tools/ directory
-Boot the phone into bootloader (volume down and power), then go into fastboot mode
-From your computer open command prompt and run the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If it succesfully installs, boot into the bootloader and then go into recovery. Next go into the Tools section and select USB unbrick

Ok so if that doesnt work i think your only option is fastboot. You cant use PB99IMG cause you have to put that on the sd card.
I dont think usb brick should affect the use of fastboot. Try redownloading the sdk, and try different usb ports.
re
just download the flashable recovery zip and inside ull get recovery img. then start the phone into fastboot (back+power) and flash the recovery with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then reboot bootloader, get to recovery and try in the tools the usb unbrick options. first time recovery will start really sllow it will count to 60 trying to mount the sd card but dont worry will start even when it fails to mount it. after the usb unbrick ull restart the recovery and ull be able to mount the sd card if the sd brick was the problem. u dont have to try with apk just download the flashable version of 4ext here: http://www.4ext.net/download.php?f=PB99IMG_2.1.3_RC2.zip&device=bravo and inside the archive u have the recovery.img

OK guys, I managed to flash 4EXT recovery via fastboot! What a newbie's mistake, I didn't opened 'fastboot' option when phone was running in vol. down + power mode and that was a cause of problem! Now gotta fix memory card problem...
In 4ext under tools run 'usb unbrick' or similar. Make sure you reboot into recovery. If it worked then 4ext will load faster and copy some configuration files to the SD. On some occasions I've had to run usb unbrick more than once to get it to work.

I tried many things, tested another NOKIA 64MB SD card, doesn't work as well. My Adata works under another phone and I even managed to format it using GParted. Do you guys have any other ideas? Is there any chance it's software problem or do I need to change card slot of my phone?

This is where it get's stuck but:
It still reacts on USB connects changing from 'HBOOT' to 'HBOOT_USB_PLUG' but navigating or selecting an option is not possible.
Another thing, making me wonder, is that this screen appears, after just hitting the power button - it's not necessarry to kepp VOL Down pressed...
Hopefully someone can help me out of this,
Thanks in advance,
Dominik

It needs to be recognized by fastboot not adb. Download and install HTC sync then uninstall it leaving only the drivers behind. Also install these: http://downloads.unrevoked.com/HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe
Then boot the phone into fastboot mode (power and back) and run "fastboot devices" to see if it's recognized. If it is follow the instructions in my first post.

Yeah, it's working, thanks a lot!
I tried to boot with "back + Power" several times.... but without USB connected...
EDIT: No, it wasn't regarding USB...
This only works from time to time, more less then more.. (hopefully you know what I mean)
Okay, now I have a way to get into the recovery, a big step forward!!
What now?
I'd like to "install" this recovery now, as I did before on my HD2 in the past but this is far long ago, so sorry for this stupid question:
How to replace the actual existing Recovery with the booted 4ext one?
On 4ext.net I found a way with a booted rom, but without...
Later on, I'd like to flash CyanogenMod 7, so I already downloaded the suggested PB99img_cm7r2.zip.
I remember this has s.th. to do regarding partitioning, right? What do I have to do with this file?
Can I flash this with fastboot ?
During usual bootloader startup it says "No image or wrong size"
AS you may see, I know a little, but it's damned long ago...
Sorry for my worse english, but I don't know how to describe this better
Hopefully you can help me anyway,
Thanks a lot in advance!!

AS you may see, I know a little, but it's damned long ago...
Sorry for my worse english, but I don't know how to describe this better
Hopefully you can help me anyway,
Thanks a lot in advance!!

Use "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" to fully install the recovery. Rename the hboot(partition) file you downloaded to "PB99IMG.zip" and put it on the root of your SD card. Boot the phone into hboot and it will search for the file. When it finds it select yes to install it then reboot.
Go into recovery and wipe everything except the SD card then flash the ROM.

Hi,
thanks a lot for these great hints, but sadly I'm unable since yesterday to enter fastboot mode
System always starts into HBOOT - and dies, weather I press any additional keys to the power button or not...
Any alternative way to enter fastboot mode?

Hello, so i was working on my p1 and acidently flash wrong file and my huawei doesnt boot so i can go only on huawei fastboot so what i do ? its easy i think the huawei update pack with do something so start downloading it and put on sd card and i try to flash but what ? its say something error i try all the flash from huawei support no one from them doesnt work on my case so i decide to make some fastboot easy commands. But for you guys i decide to make it more easy so i put all my things on one program so everyone can work with it.The firmware i used to recover or better to say the base of this room is B194 and is Stock Rom nothing modified.
Must have adb or fastbooot installed on you pc if not my program offer you to install.
The pc must know your device you have a button check on my device (in my program if is there you device than you have good chance).
A cable .
And Brain most important.
https://mega.nz/#!JA8hXKha!YAm7sDVvaX1V5zgpRX19yvSjUy_n31j0NBhA_5uQBbQ
And this problem fix issue like mine if your device dont boot, if your device dont take stock rooms from sd card, if your device stay only on fastboot mode.
I think I have no brain.
Let me explain my case first.
Somehow my phone got bricked, it was never rooted or installed a custom room or install a recovery cwm.
I tried installing the stock firmwares from Venezuela carrier, and 2 General Firmwares (with volume up + power [sd/dload] and there was an error.
So now I try your method (Volume down+power) and then your program, I think it reconize the device and it appears there was no error in the install, but when I turn off and turn on the phone is still bricked (stuck only in huawei logo).
What should I do?
Sorry for my poor english...

Asus Zenfone Go(Z00VD) bootloop & stuck at Recovery Mode.Anything to do?

Hello guys,
Im new at this forum.I visited here lots of times to get some information about Kernels,ROMs.unlocking process..vs Sorry if this thread is already opened but I have nothing to do.I visited every forum, every material that I found but I have nothing now.
First of all, I just bought my z00vd 2 weeks ago with speaker problem. I sent it warranty because of it but they sent me without fixing.I just wanted to root the phone to fix the problem. After I root my phone nothing happened. Then I just wanted to unroot it to sent it warranty again. I did something wrong.
I just type the cmd "fastboot oem lock" then I reboot the phone. It is in bootloop now. I cannot reach to the recovery mode also. When I click recovery mode its freeze with Asus logo.. I tried some other things like "fastboot erase cache" also not working in fastboot mode.It gives me an error LIKE " FAILED <remote:unkonwn command>
Do you guys have any idea about this problem? I just want to recover my phone stock mode and send to warranty again.
Thank you so much...

Ty for respond. 3.2 section steps are;
Turn off your Zenfone 2
Go to recovery mode
Select apply update from ADB
Connect your zenfone 2 with USB cable to your PC/laptop
Open command prompt in Windows (in the same folder where ADB is located)
Check connection by typing adb devices in the command prompt.. If connection successful there will be a list of Zenfone 2 device.
I cannot open recovery mode. That is my problem. When I click "recovery mode" phone is freezing. So any advice?

maybe you are using wrong command. download the recovery file and place it in adb folder in pc. connect phone to pc in fastboot mode and type in cmd (open from adb folder) - fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

any info did you get mate?
Do you know what chipset is in this , is it mtk or what is it?
Not had a good look but you need to investigate this ?
There is a z00tg version on needrom.com.
Investigate further , mtk flash tools flashes that recovery.
If yours is the same ...
Do you have official firmware ..got a link ?
Ok ,just checked the title of the firmware you have on pc , that says tg too..
So head over to needrom.com if vs is the same firmware?

Chipset is Mediatek MT6580(ZC500TG)
Yes I need to investigate this because I need to unroot the phone and I need to wipe all data before sending to the warranty for speaker problem.
Yep I have a official firmware. link is http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Ze...user.zip?_ga=1.208137562.998220750.1461825196
but I cannot but the official firmware via fastboot. It gives me error like "you have no permission to do this"
Flash the tg. firmware from needrom via Flash tools ..just flash the recovery on its own , do not have the preloader ticked at any time , warning
---------- Post added at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:32 PM ----------
http://www.needrom.com/download/zenfone-go-zc500tg/
Updated firmware may sort the speaker prob out ?
You have to join to dload ..takes a sec

I couldn't find the correct flashtool for the ZC500TG. can you help me to find?
In a rush here but if you dload Mtk flash tools ,enter the scatter text from your own firmware, you then flash that , recovery should be in flash tools after.
No time today but your device is easily fixed for sending back but imo 6580 mtk is prob the culprit

sorry, was at work. just reached home.
download stock recovery https://mega.nz/#!yk8RUYaT!k-A8F4LqkP0ScgeiKeLuLb_VO2pdo9Jcskib3g_ue3Y
just copy it on the adb folder in your pc and flash it using cmd - fastboot flash recovery stockrecovery.img
if this worked, you can easily flash stock rom using adb sideload from recovery
If still unsuccessfull, you are left with this (Risky!)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/asus-zenfone-zc500tg-root-request-t3282861
or take it to asus service center
How did it go ?
All sorted Caghary? if so can we have a description for others cos that tg fw doesn't seem to work with the vd fw on needrom according to the comments .
? Oh and the flash tools to dl was under the fw on needrom which you would only see if logged in ,
Thank you guys for all responds. I tried everything. I did everything. Now Im totally irritating. I just gave it to the warranty and praying for motherboard replacement...
Ah well they probably just flash only takes 2 minutes , Mtk are fairly virtual easy to unbrick ..having said that if damaged sectors then probably you did the right thing .
I was only replying the other day about scammers using mtk lol where a member wanted to know before buying. Then ASUS produces a version with mtk chip hehe ...
Mtks are renowned for poor sound speaker quality and oh bugs
Can i get that boot.img ?
