DBrand skins for moto g! - Moto G Accessories

Hello guys, I've been looking at these skins for weeks and since today they are finally available for our moto g too!
They are amazing skins, you can find them in the nexus 5 forums.
I'm going to place an order and I'll take some pics when it arrives.

Here is the link.
Have a good day

These skins look really good on the moto g, except for the ones covering the front of the device which look tacky in my opinion. I ordered the black titanium skin for my moto g. It should make the stock black cover easier to grip and less prone to grease smudges. Looking forward to seeing some of your pics!

I'm actually waiting because I've heard that maybe they will soon release a bamboo skin, so I'm waiting for that! I love bamboo
Inviato dal mio XT1032

Waiting on my order of the wooden back skin. I'm going to use it in combination with the original white back cover. Who needs Moto Maker anymore? ^^

Dark wood on white cover must look cool! I'm going to get a light bamboo color on my black cover

Black carbon and wood are awesome!
Are they covers or stickers?

Very well made stickers! Check the n5 forum to see how cool they are

Dbrand black titanium skin
I got the black titanium skin in the mail yesterday. It fits very well with the Moto G and really does enhance grip. I noticed that due to the shape of the actual sticker, these can also be applied to the grip shells that Motorola sells for those who want added protection plus some style on their Moto G. I might get the red carbon fiber skin for my red grip shell.

Looks so cool! Can't wait for the bamboo skin to be up!!

Nice.
Mind posting a picture of the side? Curious to see how it looks.
dbranskins, bamboo naow! =D

Here is a side pic of the phone.

Do the front skins have a screen protector on it? I'm just wondering cause if not, how will it look if the skin is put on top of the screen protector.....?

The front skins do not come with a screen protector. You would have to make sure that the screen protector has the right cutouts, otherwise there will be parts of the skin that don't adhere to a surface.

[Skin] Smartskin 3M Vinyl Decals for Nexus 5

Smart Skin is another UK Based Company which is throwing away some great textures at an affordable price of Just $8.
Their Shipping is fast and their Textures are awesome for our beloved Nexus 5.
Specially the Gold and the Blue Versions would look so good on Nexus 5.
Available here : http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-Nexus-5-Brushed-Metal-Skin-Wrap-Cover-Sticker-Protector-Decal-NOT-CASE-/151190318089?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item2333a52c09
Hopefully we will get some interested friends who would like to try them on their Nexus 5 and leave some feedback and reviews.
I want to buy some skins from them, I'm negotiating with the seller, I'll make a review of the skins when I'll receive them.
EDIT: just ordered blue carbon and light blue metal skins. Hope they arrive soon :victory:
Cool, i will look into these skins for my Nexus

I bought One pair named Brushed Aluminium, and It arrived today.. Believe me I Bought it from a Guy named Aashis from Ebay . Such a Big MOD EDIT: Profanity removed he is.
Its just MOD EDIT: Profanity removed where I lost Rs.850. Before applying it , It was extremely bad and the skin compleyetely wasted.
Hope smartskins are better than the one you bought

Yeah Bro. I am in the hunt to try them all and post Pics here.
Blue carbon fiber
I received some skins from them, I tested the blue carbon fiber. First I must say that I struggled a bit to remove the skin from the paper because the cut parts had not been removed. The texture is nice, gives a good grip, but the cuts are not very accurate, for example, after having applied the front skin properly, the hole for the LED notification was not perfectly aligned, or the top hole for the noise canceling microphone is not perfectly aligned too, don't know if it depends on my accuracy in applying the skin; the nexus logo cut however is very accurate. I think the skin is too thick and so it has sharp edges that you can feel when holding your phone, and when I press the power button I have a bit of difficulty because of the excessive thickness. It's a good skin considering the very low price, and the shipment from UK to Italy was very fast, 5 days including weekend. Here a video and some pics
Here the skins just out of the box, there are light blue brushed metal and wood skins too.
Looks great buddy.

Dbrand skins for Oneplus One

Hey everyone! Have anybody tried these dbrand skins yet? They were really popular among the nexus 4 users. Would love to know if anyone have tried it on their One yet. https://dbrand.com/shop/oneplus-one

i'd get one but dbrand doesn't recommend using it on the black edition of the OPO (and im sure most people own the black sandstone over the white one)

Don't really have the choice when OnePlus sends invites for 64GB instead of 16GB
dbrand makes awesome skins though. I feel that they should make a third party backplate to put the skins on.

Just kinda crappy because dbrand supports this phone and then no body buys it because it shouldn't be used on sandstone
I have dbrand skins on my nexus 5 and nexus 7. It feels odd not being able to get one on this device do I ordered just the camera skin. yeah it's tiny, but at least it's something. There a awesome company with a awesome product so I don't mind supporting them and getting such a small pointless skin on this device.

I considered doing the same thing, then I found out that even though the camera skin costs only 2$, the shipping itself is 3$...
I'm currently waiting for dbrand to do some sort of free shipping promo and then I'll order mine. I can't stand being a supporter without my phone even wearing a skin
P.S I had a black cf skin on my Nexus 4 for a year and loved it, gotta get something for my black OPO as well
Just ordered a white carbon fiber front, red carbon fiber back, and white camera cutout. Stoked to see them on this device.
Going to order a red carbon fiber camera skin , will look good with my black official flip case
Sent from my OnePlus One
I ordered just the white carbon fiber back, and in my opinion, it looks light-years better than the Sandstone Black. The sides are uncovered by the sticker, so you still get a fair amount of grippiness on the sides. Now, my OPO literally turns heads when I put it on a table. I highly recommend it, despite the warnings. I'll post pictures if there's any interest.
Here is how the mahagony wood looks like. I have the sandstone back and it was very simply to put on. I used a hair dryer to apply.

Love the look of this! Two questions, I heard that the bumper potentially messes up the sides of your phone, is that correct? And will these skins cause the sandstone to wear out in anyway?

This looks amazing, ordering now.
I had one for awhile and it worked great! I have a sandstone black too and it was fine. They give you alot of warnings not to use it on sandstone tho. I eventually took it off though. They only give you a back piece and it makes the sides look weird.

Yeah from past experience I find the carbon skins a little slippery compared to the true colour ones. Bought both red and orange for my OPO.
You sure that even with the back being textured its not going to translate the texture of the skin to the same as the back of the phone?

Don't bother with the sanstone cover. The textured surface will make it a very bad adhesion surface for the skin.
What I did with mine was to order the Obsidian Black cover and then apply the skin to that.
It was quite an expensive investment ($50 CAD total) for just an asthetic enhancement but I think the end product looks very nice.

Does this skin comes with side protection? Or its only back?
This is what i made for myself... i Live in INDIA
Dbrand say "No thanks to india"
So i made one myself..... got a Vinyl Wrap and Actually made this...it fits quite nicely and i use it without a Case as i don't worry about damaging the back now!
Plus its Laminated in the Front so screen is protected as well!

P.s. The Skin is Manually Cut using a Blade... So its manually cut .... not 100% perfect as such
Has anyone tried putting one on there bamboo cover ? I'm not considering it but I'm just curious how the adheasive treats the wood.

Good for you! Dbrand say No to India? I live in Delhi. I have got two skins (one Nexus 4 n one 1+1) delivered by them here without issues. The first time it took a while to come but the second time, I got it delivered within a week (non tracking option both times)
My Dbrand Titanium
Heres my Dbrand Titanium... got yesterday
Using it naked for now (no covers) But plan to use it with cruzelite black case (using case when i dont need t0 show off, as only skin makes it abit slippery )

Side bumper for OnePlus 2

Hi, I am planning to buy the phone in the next couple of months. I was interested if there is already available bumper for this phone, that only covers the metal side frame and the corners of the phone and not its back. I mean something like this for OnePlus One : http://images.octoder.com/product/or_040405-45010_c3b.jpg . As you can see, it is only a frame around the phone.
I've searching also for a bumper to Op2. I'll prefer a tpu instead a aluminium bumper...

Thanks for the suggestion, just did this as well.
It doesn't fit quite as snug as I'd like, but it'll do until a reasonably priced bumper comes along.

Slightly rounded edges feel great in hand.
You'll need to stuff something between the bumper and the phone to make it tight.
Im going for the rhino shield Bumper. It looks great and after I saw a review of it I'm sure it's the right choice.

sorry, wrong thread
There are the usual ones on aliexpress and eBay. They go around 7-8 USD and are rounded rather than flat. I've had a lot of experience with these cheap bumpers and what you want are the screwless ones (as they fall out with use) and something more aesthetically pleasing (such as rounding, or unique features) or else you'll end up taking it off eventually and throwing it out.
That or spend money on the more expensive ones. It's probably worth it if you think about it.

You kind of have to push hard.
With the case backside up, try starting near a corner and kind of in a peel back motion holding the bumper part while pushing the clear part down with your thumbs. Once you get the first section loose, the rest kind of peels off.

I see... I tried but it is very hard and the plastica was almost broken instead of coming out.
Anyway I noticed that some shops are selling the case saying that is "version 2" that is the one I have.

GadgetShieldz Skinnova Skins for OnePlus2

I recently ordered a skin for my OnePlus 2 (Sandstone back) from a local Indian site called GadgetShieldz which go by the name Skinnova. Its exactly as in more or less like dbrand skins, but I wouldn't know cause I havent tried them yet. I wanted dbrand but couldn't afford the shipping charges. And this was cheaper, only Rs 832 (approx $12).
It took about 2 days for them to deliver it and according to most videos I've seen applying them is exactly like you do for dbrand skins. These are also 3M standard. Application was fairly easy. My combo was White carbon-fibre for the front and back, blue sandstone for the OnePlus logo and brushed titanium for the camera metal. Even though I know dbrand is the best, but Skinnova is a worthy and able local replacement for anyone in India who can't afford or wait for it.
PS: A few extra options and textures would have been better but its very good and Don't forget to leave thanks if you found this useful
Hi. I'm a skinnova user too. I have the ebony wood applied to my phone from like 5 months now. It's awesome. It really feels like wood in hands and people often think that it's actually wooden. Go blindly when it's skinnova.
Here's the ebony wood I was talking about

I'll answer that after I remove the ebony wood skin from the back. It didnt affect the metal frames. I had it applied there too.
I ordered too. Seems pretty promising, don't think the quality will be as good as dbrand's but the price really cuts it.
I ordered the silver one from gadgetshieldz.com with blue sandstone one plus logo and camera skin. Have to say the phone looks very good. The materials used are also top notch.
Application was easy, have not had any issue with it for over 2 + weeks now.
Feels nice to hold, grip is similar to what we have with Kevlar cover.
The side grip was a little rough during the first few days. But now it's not a problem.

No it doesn't spoil the sandstone back, I switched 3 skins in the span of the past year. I'm rocking the OPT naked now and the sandstone still retains the same grippy feel.

Its made to last long, and plus the adhesive behind doesn't loosen so if you were to remove it you can easily put it back on with the help of a hairdryer and repeating the same process. I used mine for almost 7-8 months before getting tired of it, but it didn't peel back or loosen because of dust build up. Go for it.
Also if you need and alternate, Amazon India has currently discounted the StyleSwap covers(Rosewood, Karbon, Apricot) for just Rs.299, ATM I'd suggest you take advantage of this deal. (considering Rs1700 was overkill )
