Find 7a displaying the wrong network carrier - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

Is anybody else getting the incorrect carrier logo displaying on their find 7?
I'm on EE 4G in the UK but the carrier logo, and the network being used (apparently) is T Mobile.

I bet if you do some searching you'll find that tuenti is an Orange MVNO or has a network sharing agreement with Orange

Yes it will work on both Softbank and DoCoMo. Your best bet would be Softbank as they are much cheaper then DoCoMo, atleast from my experience living there 1.5 years ago

Softbank and DoCoMo both are GSM
Both also use 2100 mhz for 3G and as most phones support all 2G frequencies SO it will work for calls also.

I bought an unlocked Galaxy Note 2 in USA, and now I bought another phone (Aquos-Sharp) here in Japan (from Softbank) just to use the SIM Card. The phone calls and sms are working ok, but I can't use the 3G. The data process isn't working. Somebody can help me please?!

I tried using the opensoftbank APN settings, but I still don't have access to the Internet on the Note 2. I am using the micro SIM from the Softbank Motorola Razr M. Any ideas?
My understanding is that getting cell service can be difficult for foreigners in Japan. The cell companies don't make it easy from what I understand. Do your research before you go.
As the others say Softbank is your best place to start looking.

Note 2 LTE 7105? Optus Unlocked

Hi heading to Sydney Aus in 4 days and the local Samsung experience store has the note 2 LTE in stock but its a optus 4g branded phone and I am with Telstra 4g. They both run on the same band so I should be able to flash generic ROM with international modem? On whirlpool forums someone said the with optus note2 a Telstra sim will only work on 3G not LTE? Any ideas?
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda premium
Check the bands that those networks use and see if they are the same here :
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks
If they are the same then it should work. If they are not, chances are the phone should work depending on which n7105 version you get. The n7105 I have seems to have 800,900,1800,and 2600mhz so it should work in UK (ee) and most of Asia but will not work in USA 4G as they use 700/2100mhz.

I bought the Optus branded Galaxy Note 2. It works fine with Telstra 4G. I had to set the APN manually but that's all.

It seems that the Optus Note 2's on a plan are unlocked?? I didn't get to test completely but I put a Telstra Sim in one and it seemed to register fine on the Telstra network.

Zenfone 2 4gb version Wind Mobile/Virgin Mobile

Okay so I am with wind mobile using zenfone 2 4gb version right now and I do plan on switching over to virgin mobile because I cant seem to get any data connection on wind and when I do it takes like 4 minutes just to load. Now I was wondering if anyone has used Virgin and whether or not its any good thanks in advanced. I am sick and tired of Wind Mobile in Alberta. --Mark
First things first, where did you buy your phone from? Is it the US/CAN model or Chinese version? That will determine if your going to get much better data rates. If you have the US/CAN version you should get 4g speeds, if your on the Chinese version you probably going to be limited to 3g

A bit OT... I hear that Shaw cable intends to buy Wind to become a national provider. Be interesting competition (as right now, it's the big three - Bell, Rogers, and Telus - including their respective resellers - Virgin, Fido, and Koodo), but based on your experience with the limited bands (which won't change until the next national auction), I don't plan on jumping the Eastlink ship (an east-coast provider) for Shaw/Wind.

I think shaw might take it as Shaw is the only big company in canada that does not Offer cellphone services and they wan't to get into the game like Bell,Rogers and Telus in my opinion it will be interesting as to how far they make it as they have been trying for a couple years to get into the Mobile Spectrum. Also I am interested to see if wind prices sky rocket as shaw buys wind. According to Global news the planned deal is $1.6 billion.

I've ordered one from HTC.com, waiting for a friend that lives in the US to bring to me.
I've compared the US device with the WWE one and the US model seems to use almost the same frequency bands as the WWE and some more.
To confirm it will work on my network, I've checked here if it will work on my network, it gave me 100% compatibility

That probably compared the UK one with the network. The US one is missing band 8 which most of the networks in the UK use, eg 02, Tesco Mobile, Giffgaff etc. Three uses a different band I believe for LTE. You would still be able to get phone, text and up to 3g access, but if your mobile provider uses band 8, you wont get LTE, I also dont believe there is a way to add it.

I'm from Portugal and my network uses the bands on the image.
And since in HTC.com they say that the 10 works on the network bands on the other image, I believe it's compatible.
My network only uses band 8 on UMTS and I think the 10 has it, or am I wrong and made a bad decision?
__________
@Stephen, I might be mistaken, as I'm don't understand much about this, but I think non of UK's carriers use LTE band 8
http://www.4g.co.uk/4g-frequencies-uk-need-know/
Yes you should be good to go. I think you will get both 2.5g, 3g and LTE speeds with the US version. For 2.5g your network uses bands 900 and 1800. The US phone supports this. For 3g, your network uses bands 2100 and 900 which the phone also supports. For 4G or LTE (it can be called either) your network uses bands 3, 7 and 20. The phone supports these bands as well. So you will get signal in 2.5g networks, 3g networks and LTE.
Quite jealous here!!! I would have loved the silver and black, but my network uses band 8, which as you can see is not supported, so if I got it, I would only get up to 3g, not LTE. But I really love my silver white version!
Someone have news? Where I can buy silver Black version? Im from portugal

Can I use a unlocked T-Mobile S8+ on VZW

I have a unlocked T-mobile S8+ and when I put my sim in the phone it doesnt register on the their network. I thought I read all the S8+ have the capability to work on all networks.

What color is yours? I use an Orchid Grey S8+ from verizon but I use my tmobile sim in it. Worked right off the bat without any APN changes. Maybe we could trade. I would rather have the tmo bloat that I could actually use rather than the vzw bloat.

Those unlocked at&t or tmobile phone won't work for Sprint or Verizon. Sprint and Verizon required the IMEI in their database.
Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
I'm late to this thread, but what I did was make sure my S8+ (T-Mobile variant) was paid off and then I used the Device Unlock app. It did not work at first. Then, I inserted a Verizon SIM and rebooted the phone. I relaunched the Device Unlock app and selected the option for Permanent Unlock. It worked and then asked me to reboot the phone once more. Once I did that, it took me to a blue screen while it loaded the Verizon bands and apps and then rebooted one more time. It works flawlessly and even loaded the Verizon boot up screen.
From what it seems, all of the USA SM-G950/955 units are indeed capable of working with other networks and will load the appropriate firmware of that carrier but, at least with T-Mobile, the phone must be paid off first and then the Device Unlock app must be used. It is working great on Verizon as if it was sold to me by them.
