I think that the CiD.img file is unique for every device, which means that if you don't have a backup of the file you can't do much about it. Anyway thats my opinion, if someone else has a solution then you should wait.

After rooting the phone i formatted it... Here everything worked great...
I installed Titanium backup and root to remove junk apps as listed here
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/27766?start=0&tstart=0
After doing so i again formated my arc s and now my, home key-lockscreen-camera key none are working
Try this
Use sony update service or flash a generic ROM. Try searching in google. It will help you to reset the phone. :good:

Probably yes.
You can only find that out by trying....
Anyway, I would be careful with removing system apps. I don't say you should not, but be very careful. And watch out as some needs to be replaced by others, otherwise you might have problems.

Not without listing what you removed but even then and after reinstalling everything you might be stuck with the same problem.

Hi guys,
I hope you pleeeease can help me I am desperate. Turns out today I Got a new N7100 because my old one was broken so the guarantee gave me a new one. When I returned home, i made a restore backup from my old phone into the new one and by muistake (stupid stupid mistake) I didn´t backup mi EFS folder, so now the phone is not working and giving me a generic IMEI....
Please tell me that there is a way to fix it without the EFS backup... I am just about to cry here
Thanks and sorry my bad english!
Try flashing a stock rom via odin. If that doesn't fix it you're screwed I'm afraid.

I always make backups of my EFS but I don't know exactly what it is for and how they work. If someone gives you a backup of their EFS will it work or is it related to the machine?

Like above flash back your original stock rom. Pretty sure this is the only way.

thanks but all those methods require backup of original EFS folder, which i do not have
i freaking hate CWM for all it stands for
what kind of dumb idea is to have format factory folder in there?

yeah i actually tried that method but it was a no go. my /data/radio was "touched" already
thanks though
i wanted to bump this.
so heres what happened. i went to my tmobile store to buy a micro-SIM card for my new Moto G. The register guy thought I was gonna use it right away (but i didn't because the Moto G was still on its way via delivery) so he prematurely cut my old sim card and switched my phone number to the new micro-sim card. When I had realized this- i went back to the store and told him about the mistake.
Since you cannot reactivate a sim card that has been cut, he gave me a fresh regular sized sim card for free with my number back on it and so I went home.
Now for fun, i figured "hey what happens if i put this new fresh sim card inside my galaxy nexus with the nuked generic IMEI?"
............ to my SHOCK, my notification drawer said "T-MOBILE" and I had full bars of signal. I could call, I can text and everything! I went to my system information in settings menu and it still had the generic 00049 IMEI! So for those who had my same problem, try replacing the sim card!

Well then, from what I know I the easiest way is through efs backup. I really hope you have made a full Rom backup if not I remember there was another method but it wasn't going to be easy. Hopefully someone here can guild you in that direction.
no I don't have a backup of the rom. I thought that the engineering mode menu can help. I saw a video tutorial online about it. And if u still have a better option pls guide me through

Need Sprint LG-LK430 QCN - LG Gpad F7.0

Good Morning Everyone!!!
First off I would like to say sorry if i am posting this under the wrong section but i was not able to find a section for the Gpad 7.0 (if it is can a mod please move) So back to my dilemma here well I hard brick my New LG GPad from sprint a few days ago and I cannot get this thing up and running mainly because of the lack of availability of files (No KDZ, No TOT) so im wondering is someone on the forums who owns a WORKING Sprint LG GPad F7.0 (LGLK430) would be able to send me a copy of a backup of the device from QPST in the QCN format so that i can try to restore my device that way. Or if someone has one of the lg firmware files preferably the TOT or the hex files for QPST (None of the ones i have found online seem to be compatible with this device) that would work aswell. I know alor of people are going to say " Why dont you just take it back to sprint?" and I dont want to do this because i enjoy working with my devices and leaning new things and correcting my mistakes, taking the tablet back will be like my last resort. So sorry for the long post but i just wanna say thanks in advance to anyone who can help out
Hi! I don't have your device but if I might make a suggestion. Google for lg_imei_checker_2014_b1, enter your device's IMEI and see if the IMEI checker will provide a download for a KDZ for your device. Good luck!
Hello, Thank you for the response unfortunately i have already tried this method and there does not seem to be one publicly available and i say that because this website gaodi.net seems to have the TOT and KDZ but i was not able to get an account setup or meet the requirement due to unknown errors

Don't wanna mislead people. I'm not an experienced guy. I dumpped the stock recovery following the instruction in the thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-pad-10/general/dev-thread-lg-g-pad-7-0-8-0-10-1-t2838995). But, I'm not sure if I did it correctly and is this the file to save your pad from not booting or how to do it. The bottom line is that I don't wanna make it worse.
So, if you know what you're doing and you can tell from the file that it is exactly what you are looking for, PM me and I'll send you the link. Otherwise, I suggest you may get help from someone knows about compile stuff.

I'm not sure if you got my PM, but I do know exactly what I need. That is the stock recovery.img for the LG G Pad F 7.0 LK430 (which is the Sprint variant).
I made the mistake of attempting to install TWRP for a different version of the G Pad back when I originally bought the device. Now I have no recovery.img and cannot factory reset. If you have extracted the recovery.img from your stock LK430, that would indeed help me and I would greatly appreciate it.

Could someone please send me the recovery image as well? (Or ideally, upload it to a file hosting site and post a link so that people don't have to keep bugging you for it!) I want to install Xposed but I have no way of backing up my device since Nandroid doesn't support it! I rather have to go back to factory than be stuck with a brick should anything go horribly wrong. Thanks.
