[Q] Formatted sdcard, not able to mount usb in TWRP or adb push - HTC One X

So I formatted my sdcard thinking I would be able to install a new rom easily, that was not the case. The problem is that I have not found a way to transfer files to my phone.
I have TWRP 2.7.0.0 recovery installed, but mount USB does not work. I get the sound from my pc that a device has been connected but nothing happens. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling htc sync + drivers but no difference.
Fastboot commands work, but adb commands do not. So i cannot adb push. Adb doen't work in fastboot as I understand it but should work in recovery?
I was thinking of installing stock rom, because I can appearently do that via fastboot. But after extracting rom.zip from ruu install file, I find out that I have to decrypt the zip-file. And the only decryption tool available is for linux, which is a bit of a hassle as I am running windows.
So do anyone have any suggestions to how I can transfer files to my phone? The easiest would be to get mount usb to work, or adb push to work. I have not managed to get adb sideload to work either. I have struggled with this for the past two days, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flash this one, mount the sdcard and wait some minutes

SOLVED [Q] Please Help! One X Bricked - ADB List Empty

Guys need some help here.
I was previously on 1.28 with ARHD 4.1.
Recently tried to flash to ARHD 5.1 but during flashing, phone was bricked. It's currently stucks at the htc logo homescreen.
I can enter CWM into recovery mode but I do not have any existing ROMS in my SDcard. I believe we can write into the SD card by using the ADB commands in terminal. But my ADB devices list is being shown as empty
I have installed the latest htc drivers. I suspect this could be because one have to manually select the USB debugging mode on the phone upon plugging in. But since my phone is bricked, how do I go about enabling this option? Kind of lost now
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!
If you can enter in recovery then it is not bricked. Try to mount storage in recovery and put zip file and reflash. Sorry cant help much myself but dont worry someone will tell you exactly what to do. I can reassure you, your phone is not bricked.
Cheers
If you can enter recovery, under mounts and storage or something there's an option called Mount USB Storage. Use that to connect your phone like a thumbdrive to your computer and you can flash any zip file from there. Also, did you flash the boot.img for ARHD via fastboot?

Don't worry you can push files thru adb on to the sdcard, i did it few days back to recover from a similar situation.
The way to get adb working is by booting the phone directly from the recovery image rather than using the recovery on your phone.
Firstly, in case you aren't already using it, get the latest CWM recovery so that you may charge your phone in case its low on battery.
Secondly, get into fastboot mode and boot directly into recovery. (Not very sure about the syntax right now so not writing it here, search the forum.. its there somewhere)
Next, make sure sdcard & data are mounted in the recovery under "mounts & storage".
Now you can check if adb is working thru devices (most probably it should). Once that is confirmed, you are ready to push files thru adb & flash them.
Hope this helps...
problem solved. +)
cheers to all!
have a great day ahead!

[Q] CWM & Fastboot but No drivers for pc

It's been a while since I have updated my recovery and rom so I downloaded latest CWM and CM. I formatted all the options inlusing sdcard and system. That turned out to be a big mistake because now I can not push any files to the phone to flash a rom. I can get to CWM inlcuding the option to adb sideload but my computer does not have the fastboot or adb drivers installed. Is there a way for me to push a rom to the device to get back up and running? I have tried to install the fastboot drivers but the mahine is not recognizing the device.
***Update**
I ended up using the universal toolkit in linux so I wouldn;t have to set up the drivers and was able to get back to a stock image and work from there.

NEED to access Internal Storage in recovery

Hi , i made one mistake now am stuck, whilst rooting i went to flash the zip file in recovery and noticed the put the folder of it instead of the actual zip file.so obviously its not working. how do i access internal storage , mount usb isnt workin in team recovery, and its stuck in loop if try to power on tablet. any ideas am fumin whats point of havin mount when it doesnt work ????
Make sure recovery it ok. if not re-flash TWRP via fastboot again.
so if u can boot in TWRP use install by sideload (TWRP->Advance->ADB Sideload) via PC and USB Cable
attach USB Cable and make sure you Windows was detect device as ADB mode.
open cmd use command "adb sideload path-to-working-image-file.zip"
good luck

[Q] My Gnex is bricked with CWM recovery

Hello,
My phone is bricked. I have no backup on sdcard. I cannot reach sdcard from PC either. I have CWM recovery but I cannot push files or install zip files using adb sideload. It is waiting for device. I also tried with Odin but it doesn't connect either.
Now It has only CWM recovery and no connection from PC. Do you think Can I do anything?
Have you ever used ADB successfully on your computer before? You may not have the drivers installed properly.
if u fail to use fastboot and ADB try ODIN, samsung phones are capable of a delicate system-phone flash .
Thanks to all. I did it with wugs necus tool kit.

How to transfer a zip on my sdcard without adbsideload

I everyone,
I need your help, I tried to install a new rom (AICP : this one) , and somehow forgot to do a backup.
When I boot I only get the swirling logo, never get to fully load.
The phone is not bricked, I can still access the bootloader / fastboot and my recovery, so I could simply flash another rom... but I can't figure how to get the zip file on the /sdcard.
I can't use adb sideload or push, I have HTC sync and android sdk installed, I have no problem to use fastboot commands, so I guess I don't have any driver problem, but adb devices never shows my phone (Tried while off, booted on bootloader, on fastboot, and on recovery, never shows up when I try adb devices)
On windows I get a driver error when plugging my phone while in recovery, but I don't find how to install it.
So... is there a way to mount the /sdcard/ as an external drive in windows or ubuntu ? Or do you have a workaround for adb ?
Thanks a lot !
Vincent
