I use my jailbroke ATV 2 with XBMC and the video add ons to watch all my tv. Is XBMC working good on Fire TV and do they video add ons like 1 channels work as well as they do on the ATV2?

XBMC on FTV works very well. It is far superior to the ATV2. All addons/plugins work as expected.
Thank you so much for the reply, can you link me to an easy tutorial. I used xbmchub's install wizard on my Apple TV and it installed the add ons and all
The only issue I've had so far is that the remote doesn't seem to work on the onscreen keyboard in xbmc. My network share is password protected and when the keyboard comes up to enter the password the fire remote won't move the key selection

Is this possible? I have the TV Out cable and (as far as I know) it only works with Incredible framework, but as we all know stock is extremely boring, so is there any way to get Sense 3 or even 2/2.1 features ported over to the leaked GB build, and (in case) do any of the Sense 2> ROMs have the TV Out in Settings> Display?

You can't sync a Wii remote on anything besides AOSP ROMs, but you can't use TV-Out on anything but stock. Which means, you can't play video games with game controllers on a TV with your friends even though the hardware supports both actions.

GN running ICS 4.0.2 seem to default into landscape mode when you plug in an HDMI cable and just sort of "sticks" there with no option to change it...

Not sure if this is only a GN issue, or an ICS issue, but I would love a fix for it... I demo apps and things on my device and its annoying to have to have a 90 degree swiveling HDMI computer monitor handy...

how did you fix the overscan on the hdmi out from 1 picture to the next? Is it a setting on the tv, or the phone? I tried it on 2 tvs in my house and both look similar to the first picture. Not a dealbreaker, but a little annoying.

Yea, on my samsung it's called Just Scan. It cleans it right up.
Anyone have any insights into this whatsoever? There are no settings for MHL HDMI at all....

I can confirm this for LG tv's as well
I turned on WhatOn and it loaded for a while and then I got a message that whatchon has been discontinued in Canada. Then it proceeds to uninstall itself! There is no default app for an IR blaster now?? Wtf... God damn it Samsung

Smart remote is horrible, unless I just want to switch channels, WatchOn was good to show the channels in a guide, you could select the show and tada!, I'm gonna miss WatchOn...

thanks for the sugestion. I got it working with the TV but not the Satelite box / BellTV. This app seems to be an old version of WatchON, i.e. by the same company Peel.
Having some trouble with my Amazon Fire TV. Switched on, stayed on the amazon screen for a while then went blank. I had to keep my finger pressed on the home button and the menu below popped up. When I select any option, the screen goes blank. Cant get the homepage up at all. Any help and advice with this will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. PS, apologies for the size of the images

This seems like an Amazon chat would solve this better. Whatever the issue, they should be able to help you out quicker.
I agree that tech chat with Amazon may be the best bet. Have you tried power cycling yet?

Hard reset my Fire TV box. What I did was hold the back and right on the directional pad for 10 seconds. Takes the device into reset mode. pk, so I lost everything, my apps, tv, the lot but i got my Fire TV back. Happy days
So for couple days I've been playing with remote desktop from Mac to Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. Well for the moment Google Remote Desktop isn't good enought. If you need typing and delete with backspace then it's logout from session. :/ But so far looks ok. I'm still looking alternative freeware.
