Questions about CM11 on your device - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

1. Can navigation button be on the right side (not below) in landscape mode. Can't find any settings about that.
2. Can general android setting be divided on 2 column like on all tablets and in stok firmware?

1. I don't know.
2. you have to edit your build.prop in your system folder. If I remember correctly, you have to set your LCD density to 260

Thanks.
But now I have 320 in stock CM11. But I will try change it on 480 maybe...

245 will give you the twin panels. SlimKat is set up like this, I switched to infected SlimKat at first to save me changing dpi every flash. Now I love it.

thanks
Cool. Set on 260. Very nice.
With 245 navigation bar too small

I thought that if set this parameter bigger navigation buttons goes on right side in landscape mode like on my nexus 4...maybe

I mean like this (this is screen from my Nexus4)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I don't understand why on tablet they didn't do the same.
The navigation buttons in this case would be under the right hand ...

Tweak autobrightness intervals

Hi,
I'd like to change the autobrightness values for each step. The current ones are a bit to dark for my taste. I am currently in AOKP and they are way better than the stock ones. Any app, kernel or idea how to tweak these settings ?
Thanks.
You can just decompile your frameworks, change each brightness step value, then compile and flash.
I am looking for a simpler way
If you're using Aokp rom, settings, display, custom backlight setting. Then check use custom, edit other levels. Left column for sensor level the brightness needs to change. Mid column is the screens actual brightness.

Is that an app ? What is it called?
Its the rom. Just about all the roms have this capability.
Yeah but aokp doesn't have this slider stuff for auto brightness, its more custom value entering stuff..

Would love to use something as simple as this...., where could i find this? Read a few posts above that it's in almost every rom. I am using skank mod of cm9. If it's not available can someone explain what means what in this photo to make screen brighter?

Lux Dash
Lux Dash in the Play Store works pretty well. It allows you to "link" custom brightness settings to ambient light levels.
I have been using it for a couple days now and am happy with the performance.

S4 DPI 480 to 320 samples

Im making this so people like me that love to mess around with the dpi know how it looks from 480 to 320 dpi.
Personally i find that for some apps the sweet spot is somewhere in between. I cant wait for PAC to come to the S4.
i havent tried other dpi's but if you want to see a different one let me know and i'll try to find some time to do it.
STOCK 480

Greats man!
What is the theme of the menu settings?
And can you show its looks in 400 DPI resolution? ^^

The theme is called Alloy Blue theme. There is a paid version in the store and free version in the CM10 themes thread
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mac.theme.Alloy.Blue
Yes I will get some screen shots of 400dpi as soon as I can.

Awesome looking, but oh my god man resizing pictures isn't too hard
Here, http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/
That makes it as simple as a select all, right click, resize pictures.
Noob question. Which apps do I change to get the dialer back to 480? That's the only thing I ever have an issue with when changing DPI in TW.
Change seccontacts.apk to 480
ATT S4 Rooted. Beastin.

Off center watch face help

So I have tried factory and aftermarket cases as well as restoring all debloated apps. Why does my screen do this?

Well I am beginning to wonder if that's been changed? I never went in and changed it. I do use xposed framework but the cover still functions as it should.
How can I make sure I am at stock dpi?
Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
Download an app called textdroider dpi. It will tell you what dpi the phone is currently on. Anything below 640 will put the clock off center.

Awesome!
Ok it says it's 560. I wonder how that happened?
Whatever the case you fixed it! For anyone else you can keep whatever dpi you want by using xposed module App Settings. Just follow these directions https://m.reddit.com/r/lgg4/comments/3htm43/how_to_fix_lower_dpi_to_quick_circle_case/
Now I just need to figure out why the led light is randomly being stuck on even after reboot, and also enabking hot spot causes a reboot.
Simultaneously I noticed SwiftKey typing very slowly too. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and wow it types so much faster.

[SOLVED] Cropping issue when I try to change profile picture on Whatsapp,Instagram...

Hi guys, I hope you're doing well.
When I try to change my profile picture on many apps that need to be cropped, I just can't do it, because the picture is shown out of the screen, and I can't move properly the cropping square (the selector), I can move it only horizontally and few pixels up and down.
Here is a screenshot to make it clearer for you:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Do you have any idea on how can I solve this ?
BTW: I'm using the firmware: WW 2.20.40.164 , and I had the same problem on previous versions.
.
I think this may be to do with changing DPI. Is your DPI different than stock?

Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I did change the DPI. is it the cause of the issue ? because the original DPI makes things big.
Thank you @thedavefitzy
I've reset the density and the problem seems to be solved.
But, I hate the 480 dpi !
Is there a way to change the dpi and having no issue ?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT:
I found that the best way is to reset the density whenever I want to change a pic.
And to make it easier (instead of connecting my phone to a pc and use adb), I rooted my phone, I installed a terminal emulator and I use the command:
su(enter)
wm density reset
and then I change it back to 390 (my favourite)
