[Q] RE: Camera shutter mod w/ power button

Has a mod been made for the camera to make the power button into the picture taking button? On my captivate it was like an essential mod put into roms.

yes, the camera app in AOKP b25 has it.

[REQUIRED] Camera button mapping

Are there any apps available that allows you to use the nexus 4 hardware keys (volume up, volume down) as camera buttons such as a shutter button. All solutions so far require a camera app replacement but none work on the stock camera app. It would be a really nice feature to use the volume keys as a shutter button on the stock camera app.
There is a ROM on the Galaxy Nexus called Cataclysm which has the stock Google (with Photosphere) app modified to use power button for shutter and volume for zoom. Would be nice if someone did something similar for the Nexus 4...
EDIT: I've PM'd the dev of the GNex ROM to see if he can mod the N4 camera app. Here's hoping!

[Q] {q} ultera save power

Guys look what I found!

the only problem: it doesn't work!!
Why? I don't know, but it gives force close when you open the app..
so hereby I ask our almighty devs put a little effort to it and make us happy again.
Tnx in advance.
Ha! The app is made for an S5 camera... As well as Video Clips and more for studio. Get a new tablet or an S6.
Oh by the way... If you do an edit to the system db you can put a quick connect button on your stock ui. Now I have one button to do three things, so less buttons needed. Also if you use s4 neo ui you can have s5 buttons on black. A nifty trick is to hold down the power save button and you'll get extra power save features. Works well with the mod to split columns your setting screen in the system db.

How can I add a screenshot toggle in the quick settings menu ?

Hi everyone !
I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 (runing Android Oreo) and I want to know if there's a way I can add a screenshot toggle in the quick settings menu ?
I know I can take a screenshot using the "conventional" way (Power + Volume UP) but I really want to know if there's a option for it to show in my quick settings menu
Cheers !

Try Shorcutter - Quick Settings & Sidebar or SystemUI Tuner from Play Store.

I think you should edit build.prop to enable screen recording. That "screenshot toggle" is switchable between screen recording and screenshot.
Thanks for the suggestions
So here's the problem
My device is not rooted and I don't want to root it (at least for now bcs it's brand new and my last phone that was rooted had some wierd issues)
Also I tried to use apps such as Shorcutter but I don't get the advanced features that Samsung provides (like extended screenshot or being able to draw certain things etc)
I want a "native" way to do it if it's possible
Cheers !
