[RECOVERY] ClockworkMod Recovery for A3000-H [v6.0.5.1] - A3000 Original Android Development

PREAMBLE
I have built CWM for our Lenovo A3000-H - tested it as well, everything (apart from the bugs mentioned below) seems to work. This is not a "port", it has been compiled from source.
NOTE: I have built and tested this on my Lenovo A3000-H (16 GB version with 3G) with the a3000_prc_3gfull board/partition table. It may or may not work on others.

Successfully flashed this recovery to mine A3000-H 4gb 3G tablet.
I tried backing up my ROM, but it froze while "Backing up boot image". Have not tried anything else.

If you already have ROM package (including flash tool) from one of "Azam426" threads, it's simple:
1. Just open "Flash_tool"
2. Tick "DA DL All with check sum"
3. Load "scatter-loader" file and point to "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt".
4. Uncheck everything except for "RECOVERY"
5. Click the "RECOVERY" title and point that to "recovery.img" file downloaded from this thread.
6. Switch off the tablet, prepare the USB cable, and click "DOWNLOAD"
7. Wait a few seconds, then connect the cable to the tab.
8. In case if you get any error messages when you click "DOWNLOAD", unplug the cable then click "FIRMWARE->UPGRADE" option, wait a few seconds and reconnect the cable to the tab.
Please note, I'm not responsible if your tab got bricked, burned, exploded, loosing some or all of your data, etc.
Although flashing this recovery doesn't do any harm (on my device), but just to be safe, please do backup your important files, PIMs, emails, etc.
Keys assignment:
- Vol up = Up
- Vol down = Down
- Pwr button = Select
=> In case you're wondering how to enter recovery, just turn off your device, press and hold vol up + power button until you have this screen:

A new build is up, some storage issues have been fixed up. Updated the OP.

I did all steps, unchecked everything (PRELOADER become RED) and loaded recovery.img and click download but it ask if I want to downloading anyway ?! because all images are not correctly loaded. I said YES, and it said Image RECOVERY checksum failed !
what did I wrong ?!

Do you know any method without PC? :-'(

Will this work on the f version of the tablet? (The wifi-only one)

Thanks for the confirmation.

CWM v6.0.5.1 is up! This time, I have uploaded a flashable ZIP so you can easily upgrade using an existing recovery. If you want to flash it as before then just extract the recovery.img from the ZIP file and flash it however you want to flash it.

Thank you sir...
I have tested this recovery on my Lenovo A3000-H and there is no bug in PC USB mass storage...
I don't know how but this is true..
My build number A3000_A422_013_026_140926_WW_CALL_FUSE

Another build is up, CWM is now intended to work with a3000_prc_3gfull devices.

[Root]ATT SGS3 Tested working! Reset flash counter! Simple

First off, let me say that I did not develop this stuff and all thanks should go to those that did. Special thanks to noobnl, mskip and TeamEpic for all their work.
So here we go.
General Disclaimer:
Use these tools and this guide at your own risk. Doing these things wrong/improperly/etc. has the ability to completely ruin your device and YOU assume all risk and responsibility if that happens.
Also note that Rooting WILL violate the manufacturers warranty on the device making it ineligible for warranty repair. If you have insurance on the device however they MAY still replace it for the cost of your deductible.
Root Method Starts Here.
1. Download and install the Samsung USB drivers from Samsung's website
2. Turn on Debugging on your Phone
* Open Settings
* Select "Developer options" in the System section
* Check the box for "USB Debugging"
3. Plug you phone up to your computer using the USB cable and allow the drivers to install.
4. Download CMW_SuperUser_v3.07.zip from the bottom of this post
* I recommend making yourself a nice little GS3 folder in your downloads folder for all this stuff so it's easy to find
* DO NOT UNZIP!!
5. Copy CMW_SuperUser_v3.07.zip on to the Root of your GS3s INTERNAL storage (if you put it into a folder, you may have a hard time finding it later, but that's on you).
* DO NOT UNZIP!!
6. Unplug you phone
7. Power off your phone
^^ once u have now odin time......
1. Download Odin3-v3.04 from the bottom of this post
2. Extract Odin3-v3.04 into it's own folder somewhere where you can easily find it.
3. Download fixboot.tar from the bottom of this post to somewhere you can easily find it.
4. Reboot your phone into download mode
* Hold down Volume Down, Home and then power until Warning!! message is displayed
* Press Volume Up to continue.
5. Your phone should now be in download mode and displaying a green Android and say Downloading. If it is not, power off your phone by holding down the power button and then try to get into Download mode again. Do NOT progress until you have done so.
6. Go into the folder you extracted Odin3 into and run Odin3 v3.04.exe
7. Connect your phone to your computer via USB
8. In Odin, the COM box all the way to the left should turn blue and it should say Added!! in the Message area.
** Click on PDA and in the Open window that pops up navigate to and open the Tar With CWM from below file you downloaded earlier
** Verify that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked
** Click Start. Once the process is completed you device should automatically reboot and there will be a green PASS! box in the upper left of the window. You can then close Odin.
** Power off your device and boot into Recovery mode
* To boot into Recovery mode: Hold down Volume Up, Home and then the Power button until you are in Recovery (it should say CWM-based Recovery at the top of the screen)
**. Install CMW_SuperUser_v3.07.zip that you copied onto your internal memory
* Navigating ClockWorkMod Recovery: Use the Volume Up and Down arrow keys to change the highlighted option and the home key to select an option. The Back softkey works, but will not be lit and will take you back one screen.
Installing a zip:
* Select "Install zip from sdcard" (Yes, I know it's on the internal storage.)
* Select "Choose zip from sdcard"
* Select the zip you want to install; in this case CWM_SuperUser_v3.0.7.zip
* Select "Yes" to begin installing
**. Once the process has completed use the Back arrow to get back to the main recovery screen (remember, it works, but it's not lit) and select "reboot system now." Once your device boots up you should now be 'Rooted,' but there's still a few more things to be done
Reset counter: triangle away from playstore and reset the counter.
15. Install BusyBox. There are actually several ways to do this, but the BusyBox app in the Google Play Market is quick and easy. Install it, grant it SuperUser permissions and it'll walk you through the rest and advise you when to update.
16. Update your Binaries.
* Open the Superuser app
* Get into settings (the wrench icon in the upper right of the screen)
* Select Su binary under the General section towards the bottom of the list
* Select Update
**.Your device is now rooted and all set.
** optional: update cwm using rom manager or use img from clockworkmods website. Flash through adb.

Yay. I'll give this a go (via Heimdall in Linux) as soon as I get my phone. In the meantime... I'll let you other guinea pigs below this post test it out.
Ohhh how I love root. Let me count theee ways: ClockWorkMod recovery (and nandroid backups), ROMs, TitaniumBackup, AdAway (/system/etc/hosts), adb over wireless, free wifi tethering, permanent debloating, kernel overclocking, CIFS (windoze) network shares, poking around /data/data in a root adb shell, yadda yadda...
Nice. I got my gs3 today
I'm going to wait a week before I do any rooting. Just to feel the phone out

[MEGA]Titanium S1,Cherry Flame2.0,KTouch U86 Kiss,Archos 45 Platinum

Hello Everybody!!
Recently when going through the xda forums for the devices Karbonn Titanium S1, Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0, K-Touch Hornet u86 kiss , I noticed that a lot of people have questions regarding Stock rom, Recovery rooting and Solutions for Brick. However most of the posts have been left unanswered or died for some reason.
Hence I decided to open a thread that can be used to solve general problems and issues regarding the Device.
NOTE:- Archos 45 Platinum too has similar device specifications. The same CWM version worked for @best98 who is using an Archos 45 Platinum.
Tip:Using CWM touch recovery
When using the CWM Touch recovery you may notice that it is not really working properly and that touch is not doing anything. The fact is the touch is being registered and that the touch method is different than normal android because of limited drivers in recovery.
The working
Use one finger touch to scroll
Use two finger touch to select item
Installing a Recovery Menu
Using PC
1) Install the Mobile Drivers.
2) Download Minimal ADB And fastboot [Windows users] Linux and Mac users might have to download the whole Android sdk as of now.
3) Download the recovery you want from the attachments below.
4) Rename them to recovery.img after extracting and copy it to a folder of know location.
5) Boot your device into fastboot mode.i.e Power on your mobile by pressing and holding Power button and vol+ Key.until you see A green screen.
6) Connect your device to the PC and open Minimal ADB and fastboot
7) Run the command " fastboot flash recovery C:\USERS\MYNAME\DESKTOP\ANDROID\RECOVERY.IMG".
Without the quotes replace C:\USERS\MYNAME\DESKTOP\ANDROID\ with the location where you extracted recovery.img.
8) Wait untill it completes and VOILA new recovery installed.
Note: In case you want to preserve your stock recovery, run the command "fastboot boot C:\USERS\MYNAME\DESKTOP\ANDROID\RECOVERY.IMG"
Without the quotes replace C:\USERS\MYNAME\DESKTOP\ANDROID\ with the location where you extracted recovery.img.
Using Mobile
Simple Method.
Just install the TACK Manager from here and install the recovery .Enjoy .
Not so simple method
Download the flashable recoveries from Below and flash it through CWM Or TWRP [Yes, you need custom recovery for this to flash]

Rooting Your Device
Method 1: Through CWM/TWRP
1) Download the SuperSU package provided below.
2) Copy it to the root of your SDCard
3) Select Install zip from SDCard
Method 2:Through Framaroot
Personally I Did not get any success by this method. But lot of users reported it to to work by using the Gandalf exploit.
Also some versions of framaroot work better on some devices as compared to others. So maybe just have to check which version works for our Mobile.
1) Download and install Framaroot.apk
2) On the exploits list select Gandalf
3) It'll probably crash the first time and apparently work the second time you launch it.
As I Am not sure which version of framaroot works for this mobile hence no upload

In case you end up Formatting /SYS_BOOT Partition then you'll most likely end up in this. There might be few other cases when this can happen but none that i am aware of.
If you Have a Linux Desktop
If you have access to Linux PC then connect your mobile to it and mount the partition which is around 50 MB. Download the Images.zip from below.unzip the file and copy the whole folder to the 50 MB partition.
Your File structure should look something like this

Hi,
Great to read that.. at least after crawling the web and finding that Karbon S5 is equivalent to Archos 50 Platinum.. I find from the specs that this Karbonn S1 is the same as the Archos 45 Platinum that I own.
Specs are : here for the Archos 45..
http://www.archos.com/gb/products/smartphones/platinum/archos_45platinum/specs.html?#a
Finally.. I can't wait to see Cyanogen on it.. maybe a chance to have a CM11 ?

Its not necessary to flash or reset the soft brick using any OS,
U can do it by CWM also.
1]For softbrick u can just factory reset and wipe cache
2] for flashing u can mount and remount sdcard and copy the .zip file to it and choose install zip from sdcard

[G800F/M/Y][ROM][8.1.0][OPM2] LineageOS 15.1 for G800F/M/Y [Alpha]

This is a LineageOS 15.1 ROM for the Exynos3470 based Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (G800F/G800M/G800Y).
DO NOT USE IT FOR G800H OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE
Please do not ask for support or ROMs for the G800H. G800F and G800H have nothing in common.
Working features
HW accelerated GUI
Initiate and receive calls
Camera (only photos)
Flash Light
Sound
Fingerprint scanner
Hardware sensors (Orientation, Compass, Proximity, Acceleration, Hall sensor, Step counter)
Light sensor (needed for auto-brightness)
Pulse sensor (preliminary and very inaccurate. Works with Apps like Kardiograph)
Wifi
GPS
Bluetooth (A2DP, HFP, HID)
Mobile Data
SMS
MTP storage
USB-OTG (Keyboard, Mouse, USB-Audio)
IR
NFC
Video reproduction is still sometimes a bit buggy on browser (Youtube works fine)
Untested features:
SD-Card as internal storage
Known issues:
USB-OTG (Mass-Storage): detected but the file-system is not usable and will be corrupted afterwards (--> do not connect your USB-stick at the moment)
SELinux not enforcing
Video recording is still buggy/not working (crashes)
Fingerprint scanner can only records 3 fingers and sometimes it could be unresponsive
Disclaimer:
You flash this image at your own responsibility. I am not responsible for any damage that might be caused by flashing this image (bricked device, lost data, ...)
Flashing this kernel image will trigger the KNOX counter, so your warranty will be void.
Applications that use KNOX (e.g. "Private Mode") might not work anymore when returning to the stock ROM, as the device is regarded as compromised. Do not flash this ROM if you need those applications.
The image is only for Exynos3470 based S5 Mini variants SM-G800F/M/Y.
It might be instable, crash your device, drain your battery, or even might damage your smartphone (e.g. if an USB-OTG device drains too much power)

Before you start:
Backup your data, like call history, contacts, sms, WhatsApp messages, favourite app settings that are on internal and external sd (by using Titanium Backup or other apps available on PlayStore). At least all internal data will be lost in any case. If you have bad luck you might also loose data from your external sd card.
Important note: It is possible that flashing this ROM can cause efs partition issues. Therefore it is strongly recommended to make a backup of your efs partition before flashing this ROM. This can be done via TWRP.
Download:

Latest TWRP (.img/.tar file)
LineageOS 15.0 ROM for G800F/M/Y: Android File Host
LineageOS 15.1 Monthly/Weekly updates (@Andrea224): Google Drive
Open GApps (select the variant you prefer, e.g. mini)
Install recovery:
Reboot your device into Download mode: turn off your device, then press Volume-Down + Home + Power button at the same time and release them.
Confirm the following warning message with the Volume-Up button.
Connect your device to your PC via USB
Make sure the device driver's are installed on your PC
Start Odin
In Odin select "PDA" (in newer versions: "AP") and select the recovery image (recovery.tar.md5)
Check that only "F. Reset Time" is set. "Auto Reboot" should be disabled to avoid a reboot into stock ROM.
Click on "Start": the recovery image should be flashed now. By flashing the recovery, your warranty will be void.
After the recovery flashing process was successful, reboot into recovery mode (see instructions below).
Important: make sure not to boot into stock ROM, otherwise the stock ROM might remove the custom recovery again. If this happens, flash the recovery image again.
Flash ROM:
Reboot into recovery mode (Press Volume-Up + Home + Power button)
Make a Backup of your phone (Backup, then select Boot, System, Data, then swipe to backup). Note that the recovery might fail to restore the backup when you want to go back to the stock ROM.
Copy GApps and LineageOS ROM zip to your device's internal or external SD card
Connect your device via USB to a PC. You should see the device in the Windows File Explorer now.
If you do not see the device in File Explorer, make sure that MTP is enabled (inside Mounts, click on Enable MTP).
If MTP does not work from recovery, try to copy via MTP by booting your old Android ROM or just remove the external SD card and copy to it directly.
Select one of the two drives (internal or external SD) and copy the files to it.
Do not put the files into the data directory of the internal sd card, otherwise they will be wiped in the next step.
Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data (inside Wipe -> Advanced Wipe).
Do not report problems if you did not wipe those partitions as the problems are most probably related to this!
Install the LineageOS ROM zip package
Install the GApps zip package
How to root:
LineageOS does not have root support integrated by default. You have to download addonsu-arm-signed.zip for 14.1 from the Lineageos Extras download page and install it with TWRP.
After that root access is still disabled by default. If you want to activate root access for apps, do the following:
Open the Settings menu, select "About Phone"
Tap on the "Build number" entry seven times. You should be notified, that the developer settings are now active.
Open the Settings menu, select "Developer options". Enable root access by selecting "Apps" in the "Root-Access" setting.
In case you want to go back to the stock ROM:
lf you do not have the latest ROM for the G800F you can download it from SamMobile
Reboot your phone into Odin mode
Open Odin on your PC and connect your smartphone with your PC via USB
If you have a zip-file unzip it so that you have a .tar.md5 file
In Odin click on the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file. Then press "Start".
Normally the stock rom fails to boot as the data from CM is still on the data partition. So after flashing the stock rom, reboot into recovery mode (it looks a bit different now). First wipe the data partition, then wipe the cache.
Reboot

Will these non-working features be updated soon? Because I am using version 14.1 at the moment, and I can't even start the camera... I hope you will either update the previous version or get the camera working in version 15 so I can use that version.

***Note:
I do not have this device (getting 1 maybe, if *Future Custom ROMs & curiosity of $158 S8), so my answers might NOT be reliable or worth a click ?
1. Yes, the developer's OP clearly mentioned "for bluboo S8)
2 Yes(99%). *English(UK), is usually default inclusive→
OR
The specific preferred language, u say? might be the needed gem for your question "multilanguage?", Because it seems like variants and of MTK has a difference.
For example, German(Austria) included in 1, may not be there in the other.
3 .I think The Dev's OP, already stated, precisely.
Usually, after you enable those options,
(...Enable via USB debugging OEM, ADB etc [√] found under *developer mode/option* on the device),
Go to your PC, → ^ADB folder, (where you have downloaded & installed the ADB.exe,) press shift+rightclick and choose "Open with Command Prompt"
And type the command as Developer mentioned above ( instructions -OP)
(Or available commands on ADB/fastboot recovery on Linux/windows).
I havent use this (Elephone S8 Ported mini), and as I said I do not have a bluboo S8 (yet).
Do let me know if substratum theme works on this.
however, developer's effort on # Clean AOSPA minus bloatwares, is Great work already. Totally worth a click on "?". For device like this it's even hard enough to get a honest user review.
I still can't make a decision between other s8-lookalikes available. HomtomS8,Leagoo S8, Umidigi, Ulephone considering ROMs support).

Flash TWRP in SP Flash Tool and follow TWRP instruction of first post.
- Turn off S8
- Press Download button in SP Flash Tool
- Connect cable
- If flash TWRP recovery doesn't start Hold the power button until progress start
Reason that only start in CWM.
- You upgraded firmware using another recovery that does't original one
- You used factory reset of system using another recovery that does't original one (probably this it's the cause, appear that you using TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74092694&postcount=21). Probably you followed my guide with TWRP. My guide only for people with original state, doesn't with modification.
You never can use factory reset of system with TWRP or CWM.
ok thanks, ill try this
it works not.Nothing.
The problem is when i plug the cable into pc or dc just boot only carlywm ported by ghost45.version 6_kk_carliv-mod.
before i flashed your ported rom with flash tool i had before twrp 3.1.1 Bluboo S8 on my phone..since everything had worked.
And now i can nothing do. it comes only cwm ghost45.version 6_kk_carliv-mod.
I`ll tried your rom
TWRP version:
- Download link: https://mega.nz/#!iRkxALgJ!kuIwBusd_...DrjN_8tJGMqOtk
with cwm ghost45.version 6_kk_carliv-mod to flash it installes it.
but when the phone first boot it comes allways cwm ghost45.version 6_kk_carliv-mod.
so i`ll tried anymethodes with flashool first press download than press power hold... down... nothing ..it comes jus cwm ghost45.version 6_kk_carliv-mod.

So follow all step below correctly, doesn't skip steps.
Download TWRP Recovery for CWM
https://mega.nz/#!md8AAZxR!5iepVFzSKGY0F-FlPLfCxSw3nH7r6-VgpBaemAlSclk
Install recovery twrp.zip of link above in CWM.
Reboot.
Now will reboot in TWRP
IN TWRP
- Wipe Dalvik / ART Cache
- Wipe System
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Data
- Wipe Internal Storage
- Install Port ROM (First Post of this thread)
- Install recovery original.zip https://mega.nz/#!jMMRHbTI!eU-saTyapPon8xdfa2NORdpeV5CSGFfzdQHuqkwAcRE (this is very very important step)
- Wipe Cache & Dalvik
- Reboot (wait, doesn't restart until system start completly)
- Now original recovery will restored. If you need twrp, you need install again. And doesn't use factory reset of system, samething will happen again.

I already explained before. This isn't my fault. You used my guide (SP Flash Method) with TWRP.
If used factory reset with TWRP, of cource that will result in that.
I will be giving this a try tonight. Is there a way to keep the Blueboo startup animation or will this change that? Not that it matters much. Do all the features of the phone work with this rom?

Bugs
1. TWRP cannot decrypt userdata if you set lockscreen. (someone said it works, other it doesn't, so I'll just leave it here, YMMV)
2. Flashing anything shows many "unlock" red lines. (They are currently harmless by our knowledge).
3.USB-OTG
4. Saving settings is fixed but for fixing settings such as theming resetting on reboot is by editing the bootable/recovery/twrp.cc and at line 396 (as of now) changing the bool to true. This makes the recovery load the themes twice. This should only be for encrypted devices but since it has fixed our issue we'll use this workaround until a proper solution has been found.
Installation
Code:
If you have TWRP or any custom recovery installed and bootable, you can upgrade instead; Look below.
<!> the installation will require WIPING DATA. You will also lose access to all Knox-based solutions like Secure Folder.
Backup every precious data you have on your phone.
<!> PC is required. Windows is preferred. (You probably know what you are doing when using Linux/Heimdall. We don't talk about Macs)
Unlock Bootloader:
1. Go to Settings > About Phone > About Software. Tap build number (10 times) until "you are now a developer" toast shows up.
2. Go back, go to Developer Settings.
3. Turn on OEM unlock toggle.
4. Turn off your phone, hold vol-up + vol-down, then plug in charging cable (please don't use 3rd-party charging-only cable, it must have data transfer capability).
5. Your device will boot into download mode with a warning. Accept it.
6. Hold volume-up until the phone shows the bootloader unlock panel "Unlock Bootloader?".
Press volume-up again. Now your phone bootloader is unlocked.
<!> It will now begin the process of wiping data. Let it do its job.
7. When it reboots to OS, finish setting up your device.
8. Double check to make sure OEM Unlock is still ON.

Preparing for the installation:
1. Download everything above onto your PC.
2. Rename OrangeFox recovery img file to recovery.img and add it to archive using any archiver and select gnu tar.
3. Install Samsung USB Driver.
4. Open Odin.
5. Connect your phone to your PC. There should be a COM entry on the top.
6. Make sure your phone is in Download Mode. (see step 4 of section Unlock Bootloader)
7. Make sure that OEM LOCK and REACTIVATION LOCK on your screen show "OFF". If it's not off, DO NOT PROCEED ANY FURTHER.
<!> For those with lock ON, use your device for 7 days without rebooting once. Then check the locks above again.
‎

Installing:
1. Ensure phone is in Download mode.
In Odin:
Load in Userdata: VBMeta_disabler.tar file.
Load in AP: OrangeFox TAR file.
2. Prepare yourself. keep your hand on Volume-up and Power button (don't press yet).
3. In Odin, press Start. It will flash, then reboot. When the screen turned off, quickly press Vol-up and Power button to boot to recovery (this should take about 20~30 seconds).
<!> You should have OrangeFox up and running now.

Post-Installation:
MUST: Trigger Multi-disabler.
1. In OrangeFox, go to Terminal.
2. Type multidisabler, then enter. If it fails with something about vendor free space, run it again.
3. Run multidisabler again.
4. Go to main screen. go to Wipe > Format Data, type yes then swipe.
5. Reboot to Recovery. Now you can do other stuff.

Should: Backup all vital partitions:
1. In OrangeFox, go to Backup
2. Backup: EFS, Modem, NVRAM.
Enjoy: Reboot your phone to have a rooted stock, install custom stuff or do whatever you want.
Upgrade:
<!> Use when you already have any custom recovery installed (TWRP, SHRP, PBRP and the likes)
1. Download the recovery image.
2. Copy it to phone, then reboot to OrangeFox (Combo is Power + Volume-up)
3. Go: Install > select recovery.img file > select Recovery
4. Swipe to confirm flashing.
5. If success, reboot to recovery.
<!> You can also use Odin to upgrade, the steps similar to the Install section. All Post-installation, if already done, is unnecessary to do again.

I have tried to talk to various developers about the settings not saving issue. They have no idea. I have myself tried playing around with the tree but nope. So unless someone has a fix for this i have no idea
New Build!
Whats new?
Fixed the settings such as theming resetting on reboot by editing the bootable/recovery/twrp.cc and at line 396 (as of now) changing the bool to true. This makes the recovery load the themes twice. This should only be for encrypted devices but since it has fixed our issue we'll use this workaround until a proper solution has been found.
If you see the recovery trying to decrypt storage dont worry about it. its just because of this. It does nothing.

sorry i didnt include it. but i think i specified. rename OrangeFox recovery img file to recovery.img
then use 7zip or winrar or any other archiver and then add to archive. There select tar and compress. I'll include tar files in next builds by default
Thanks I already compressed the recovery.img to recovery.tar, do you know of any aosp rom for the a325m I was looking for but I can't find it
