[HELP] HTC One V (GSM) Screen NOT turning on. Phone is working! [shpongle 4.2.2] - HTC One V

UPDATE It turned on automatically after 2 days. Freaky stuff :/
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey everyone,
I have a HTC One V (Primo U), running Shpongle 4.2.2. It was working fine until yesterday, when I woke up after a nap and failed to turn on the phone's screen. Pressed the power button, but the screen won't wake up. Held the power button for 10 sec, phone restarted (I know this because of the vibration) but the screen remained dark. Called my cell, and it was ringing, but nothing on the screen. Now it's lying on my desk, with the notification LED blinkng (because I have missed calls).
Even the touch is working, because I tried swiping in the right area to answer a call and it worked, even though I couldn't see jack.
I held the Vol Up while restarting the phone, it went to bootloader (I'm guessing), but the screen was dark.
Is there any way I can save my cell

Desire completely dead?

So after playing around with my desire it does not want to turn on.
i removed the battery, (and reinserted it) but nothing is happening.
when i press the power button: nothing.
trying to get into the boot: nothing
it seems like the power does not want to come back on at all.
after some fooling around: when i remove the battery, and then press power, it still does not do anything, because the screen is still dead, but
it vibrates, after a while i hear a boot sound, and the lights come on for a moment. but screen still dead.
is my desire officially dead?
there is a possibility that my screen is dead.
since i do hear bootup sounds, but i never see the bootloader or android appear.
have to call tmobile in the morning to see what they can do for me.
same here mate did you ever get it sorted

[Q] Stock HOX - bricked by skype?

My phone is totally non-responsive. Pressing the power button is non-responsive, plugging it in to charge does not seem to work; no red charging LED. Won't boot while plugged in.
Here's what happened:
I set two alarms for this morning. One to wake up for a skype call I was supposed to make, and a second to actually get up. I hit snooze when the first alarm went off. I had about 50% battery according to the battery icon in the top right. I decided to make the call anyway and launched skype and started a video call. During the call the alarm went off again and I dismissed it. The video was frozen on the frame when the alarm went off. I backed out of the video on the skype app, and went back to it. The video was now black, and the phone warned me the camera was off. The camera icon in skype showed it was on, but i pressed it anyway, at which point the icon changed to the no-video icon. I selected front camera, the icon remained showing a camera with a red line through it. I still did not have video, my calling partner could not see me anymore either. We finished the call with audio only, about 15 minute total phone time. I pressed the top hardware button to shut off the screen and I went back to sleep waiting for the next alarm. That never came. I woke up and tried to turn on the screen with the hardware button and nothing happened. I believe I saw it flash a green LED notification as I was doing this too, but it never flashed again. I thought maybe I left skype open and the battery died, so I plugged it in. The phone won't start charging, or at least the LED wont show. I tried booting it after it was plugged in five minutes (still no LED) and nothing happens.
I unplugged it and tried holding power and down volume for 30 seconds, then I tried power and up volume, then I tried power and both down and up volume all for more than 30 seconds. No response. (what is the proper hard reset for this phone anyway?) I have since left in unplugged hoping that the battery will completely drain and then I can start using it.
Any ideas in the meantime? this phone will last a week with 50% without using the screen or the processor.

Does your hardware capacitive buttons flash when you press the power button for 10 secs?

No, nothing. I have a fully appreciation for the term "bricked" right now.
I think going back to the store is your best option in this case .... Unfortunately
yea, I think so too. I already emailed customer support.
If you plug the phone into a computer, go to device manager. Does it say QHSUSB_DLOAD anywhere?

So I went out all day and left my phone at home (the shop i bought the phone is on the ground floor of my office building an hour away, I was going to wait till monday to have it looked at there). Got back and plugged it in, was about to try usaff22's suggestion, but the LED started flashing red. after a bit it went solid and the phone turned right on. still no word from HTC, but it is the weekend and all. Maybe Jellybean will fix the root of the problem. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions everyone!

[Q] Screen not starting up for power button

Hi,
I started to get a weird problem since last week. I've had this phone for about 3 months now and never had any problem like this.
It all started one morning when I wanted to stop phone alarm. The alarm was going off but the screen was black. I pressed the power button to wake up, but it was still black. After couple of times pressing the power button the screen came up. First it was not that often but the situation started to get worse. It came to that I can sometimes cannot turn it on for a long period of time. I need to keep pressing power button, volume buttons and eventually it will come up.
This is what I've found so far:
1) When the power button is pressed, although the screen doesn't start up, I can see the three buttons at the bottom lighting up. So it is not a problem of the power button.
2) When the power button is pressed, although the screen doesn't power up, the screen seems responsive. I can feel the vibrations when I tap (I have a startup password)
3) When the phone is connected to a power supply, screen always starts up without a problem.
4) Screen will start up more frequently when the batter power is high.
It seems as though there is a connection between batters power and the screen not starting up. But then again, once the screen comes up (after not starting up), then it works fine, until I turn the screen off.
Has anybody experienced anything like this before?
I did a factory reset thinking it might be some application I installed but it didnt help.
I had to send this phone once to repair the speaker and cost more than $80 just for courier. I don't want to spend another to get this fixed.
Thanks.
I have this problem or a problem very close to this. I have a HTC One X (international version). I'm running the latest version and updates and the problem has existed for at least the last two updates.
Android Version 4.1.1
HTC Sense version 4+
Software number 3.18.401.1
I have the screen lock pattern turned on.
Sometimes when I hit the power button, the phone does not turn on and so I press it again and only after a third press does the phone turn on. I then unlock the phone and use as normal. So, several times per day I have to press the power button three times before the phone turns on. But other times I press the power button once and it turns on straight away. I've just turned the pattern unlock off to see if this makes any difference. I'll start to record the exact details of when I experience this and see if we can work out a common cause.
Hopefully if enough people report this problem then they can send out an update to fix this problem.

I'm pretty sure this is a hardware issue. I bought mine from Expansys and sent it back to them for repair. It's been more than a month and they say they're still reparing it.
In my case it was impossible for me to start the screen up with power button no matter how much I pressed it. The only thing that worked for me was to press the back of the phone just below the camera. So it seems like a hardware issue. But on the other hand, at times when I can't get the screen turned on no matter what I do, I'd turn the phone off and start again and the thing would start up like nothing happened. So while I'm pretty sure it is a HW issue, I'm not sure how a power restart makes it work.
For me I don't think that this is a hardware problem as it only started happening once I did the big upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 and then it follows a specific pattern. That is three power button presses will always turn it on. Less frequently I also get a problem where the power button turns on the three lights on the soft buttons but the screen remains black. I then hit the power button to turn it off, and again to turn it on and the phone is back to normal again.
Is yours an international version? I bought mine an international version and had it shipped to Australia.
solved?
Hi - did anyone ever solve this? This is happening to me with my HTC desire X after having had the screen repaired, so I think it is hardware related, but the shop doesn't know how to fix it! My screen also does not turn back on when I want to end a phone call and pull the phone away from my face anymore. These problems seem related as they started at the same time. I would be grateful for help!

Phone won't turn on ( vibrates 5 times + green light )

So my phone was working 10 min ago, as I walked through the rain home.
Was listening music and then the volume buttons stopped working exactly ( wouldn't turn / down up the volume ) and I couldn't power off the phone, so I decided to get the battery out.
After that I wanted to turn the phone on, but instead it showed me a green light and vibrated 5 times.
Now I'm back home and put in the charger ( with the battery in ) and also tried another battery but it still shows me the green light and won't turn off.
Is my phone broken now?!
If it does care, I have JellyTime 4.2.1 R4 on my Desire HD
Thanks in advance

This is a hardware problem and it happens because your volume buttons are stuck. You would need to go in there check it and fix it.
But it could be something else, my volume keys died from water some time ago, didn't effect operation in anyway. You might want to check for water damage, it may of killed the phone.

the vibrations mean that your phone is dead ...
I got inspire 4g with "volume up" stuck button, and it only vibrates 7 times. ill repost if it will start boot after button fix. :fingers-crossed:

LG G4 not powering up

My G4 H811 suddenly not powering on.
It was just working fine. I turn off the screen and then a minute later I try to turn the screen on by pressing the power button and the screen is not turning on. I made a few attempts and tried to power it off and on. That's when I feel the phone vibrates but normally it is just a short vibration before the screen on but the vibration never stops and screen is not on. Pressing the power button does nothing. I have to take out the battery to make it stop (vibrates for about 30s). After that, phone won't even vibrate.
I left the phone charged for 2 hours. The charge indicator never turn on but I feel a little warm just like when phone is charging. Basically, now phone will not turn on. What can I do?
There were a couple of occasions since yesterday that I managed to power on the phone to see the LG logo. But it stays there for about 10s and the screen went blank. Looks like my phone is done for.
