[ROM][CM11][Kitkat -4.4.2][PORT][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11 For Canvas 4 A210 - Micromax Canvas 4 A210

Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Canvas 4 has finally arrived. Say thanks to @chrmhoffmann for compiling the first ever CM11 for MT6589.
Original thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2676086
I just changed some things in wiko stairway build.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
* Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
* cause of male impotence.
*/
CyanogenMod is an aftermarket firmware for a number of cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. It offers features not found in the official Android based firmwares of vendors.
What works:
- SIM1 for phone calls (incoming/outgoing) and SMS, data (2g, 3g)
- Audio (microphone - now also outside phone calls, loudspeaker, headphones)
- most sensors (auto brightness seems to be broken, but sensor works)
- Wifi (not wifi direct)
- GPS (no A-GPS yet nor EPO assist files, so the fix can take a bit)
- candy crush, facebook and twitter
- 2nd sim card is a WIP (see 2nd post how to play with it)
- hw composer
- camera for taking pictures (not video)
What doesnt Work
What doesn't work:
- 2nd sim card 3G switch, Dual SIM is a WIP, not fully there yet
- re-enable after flightmode broken
- camera for "movies" does not work
- (hw) video en/decoding not enabled
- bluetooth not available
- auto brightness
- FM radio not available
- A-GPS does not work, GPS works though but slowish
- rest of MTK specifics (what?)
- battery usage stats

Yup I already mentioned it. But some people are afraid of flashing as they see it only for wiko stairway. So posted it in C4 section.

can we use MTP in this

Why would someone use this rom?
Bro so many crucial features are not working. Bluetooth, gps, etc are very basic things. Why would anybody want to flash this rom in the first place? Making this rom for development is good, but for users is not so. Don't you think.
No offence bro. Just saying.

This is a build of Android JellyBean 4.2 from AOSP source code based on the CyanogenMod device tree for Samsung Galaxy S I9000. I have made this build to gauge how difficult it would be to port JellyBean 4.2 to current devices. In its current state, I consider this stable enough for daily use.
Kernel Source Code: https://github.com/pawitp/android_kernel_samsung_aries/tree/jellybean-next
Other source code: See CM GitHub/Gerrit
What Works?
Almost everything you can think of, RIL, Data, Wifi, Camera, Audio, GPS, TV-Out, etc. See the known issue list below for list of things that do not work.

Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Note that this is a preview release and non-device specific bugs will not be accepted. The development of this preview will also cease once enough progress has been made in CyanogenMod. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved.

Thanks again Ashwin , I was very disappointed to see the previous thread's proceedings. Besides I made a feature request in the previous thread. Did you have time to check it out ? is the move to sd card feature natively supported in CM? and does it actually send the app to externa sd card (i.e. sdcard1) ?

I'm unlocking this thread. Some communication issues have taken place between the OP and the FXP. Hopefully everything is sorted now and this thread will serve its purpose.
Please keep it nice and clean.
Thank you.
The link redirects to the CM11 for the D5303. I do not know if it is compatible for the D5322, but I will not test.
I tested the CM11 Beta 4 and it worked well, just not working the camera.
Very fast and smooth compared to the stock sony.
Tested the ART and also functioned normally.

Note this is a development thread so the primary focus is to get the ROM to work as best it can. Fixing camera etc may be considered a waste of time by the OP if it is anyway to be fixed by the CM Dev team.
However if its not too much trouble for the Dev a fixed variant would be nice.
GPS working?
Just downloaded, it's booting right now
So after some testing I must say this is a pretty amazing Rom. Very smooth and quite stable. I have come across two bugs in addition to those mentioned in the OP.
*Thethering Portable Hotspot does not work
*For some reason when i plug my headphones in the phpne becomes a bit crazy and detects it as some kind of touchpad or something causing random nvigation, an issue i did not face on kitkat.
Edit: the phone also gets noticeably hot, rather quickly.
Another thing i forgot to mention is that, when you try to enable tethering portable hotspot it not only fails, but breaks wifi aswell requiring a reboot. The other issue is that when charging it does not display the charging message on the lockscreen.

My first ROM port: OmniROM 6.0 for Mi5
This is a work in progress and is not thought to be used yet.
It's not OmniROM's fault that many things don't work!
What works:
- It boots (sometimes)
- General usage, web browsing, ...
- Wifi
- Sound, headphones
What doesn't work:
- Telephony
- Mobile data
- Playing music (DSPManager FCs)
- Camera
- Graphics race conditions (sometimes it gets stuck at the MI logo, just reboot)
- Ambient display
- Other stuff I forgot
Features:
- AOSP-Based
- Much customization options
- Performance options to tweak kernel settings
- DSPManager
- Chromium as web browser
- OmniSwitch
- Polished apps (clock, calender, gallery, ...)
- Probably more

Clean flash when coming from CM, MIUI or other ROMs, dirty flash on update from previous OmniROM 6.0 build
If you have problems with it asking for decryption phrase on first boot, reboot to fastboot and "fastboot format userdata" (you will lose all data, including internal sdcard files!)
You will need to flash firmware for custom built kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/development/tool-flashable-firmware-twrp-easy-t3474898
GApps: Well, I won't link a recommended GApps package, because I won't recommend GApps at all. Take a look at https://fdroid.org/ and https://microg.org/, which I would recommend.

I want all donations to go to @bgcngm (see his profile page for paypal links)
Although I spent a reasonable amount of time on this, he has probably spent 100x as much time

Fixed telephony (again, worked at some time before), build coming in the evening (like 10-15 hrs from now), because I don't want 2 builds on one day to avoid naming confusion and I'm hoping to get mobile data today.

It worked before the current build, but I still had debug options on (insecure adb), so I rebuilt the whole thing and after that it didn't recognize the SIMs. That's why I said I fixed it *again*. Now I tried to change some options back, but now the images won't boot at all.
School has started again and I don't have much time. Maybe this weekend when the last exams are done..
I'd very much appreciate it if you tried do some work on the device tree (I'm just trying options that sound related (disable CAF RIL, disable CNE)). Reversing commits which add proprietary qcom stuff is the easiest way to get stuff running from my (rather small) experience.
I guess I won't update this anymore. When I have some time I'll start working on OmniRom 7 / 7.1 for Mi5 which should be easier as the CM14.1 DT uses a little less blobs.
