you could give me credit as I noticed it first and mentioned it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52791076&postcount=157
anyway, congrats guys. A modded version better that the original update is on the way for E975. Just wait a bit and feed your phone with a tasty kitkat.

No ..........
I must thank you DG for the leaks you give to us at&t Sammy users. But (as respectfully as possibly meant) could you put in the op about the possibility of brick when flashing a bootloader.
If not I can give a lil info.
DISCLAIMER:
When flashing a bootloader always plug your USB cable directly into the back of your computer. If you somehow don't get enough power or lose power during a flash your phone will become a $600 paperweight.
Please weigh your options and KNOW WHAT YOUR RISKING!!! Someone will make a cwm flashable zip really soon. So be careful. The new bootloader may make triangle away (counter reset app) no longer reset your flash counter.
Again thanks DG and I mean no disrespect by my post. I just want the people new to androids and Samsung aware of the risks.

* SELinux is turned on. Bootloader appears to be locked (I don't physically have the device, but we tried to flash the I9505 CF-Root, did not work, ODIN fails)
* The Kernel config does say that it can be "rooted".
* I am hoping SELinux is NOT turned out in the shipped firmware.

I hate to ask what may be a silly question, but does this have anything to do with an FM radio?

SELinux is turned on at least on this device. I will post the system dump later. Bootloader appears to be not locked (phew!).

weird as another user said his was locked up.
How are you determining SELinux is on? Permissive or Enforcing?
Also, I think CF-Root had issues on ENG builds for the 9505 too. If your friend has an engineering release, the same might be true.

it is in build.prop and also in the pulled kernel config. Nope we tried the ODIN, refuses to flash the recovery..I will ask the friend to check the status and see what it says (whether restrictive or permissive)

OP, what does your friend's engineering device say in this regard? If the engineering device is not locked, then you should get a backup of aboot (p6 in your partition table I think). That's what they used to ultimately unlock the SGS3 on VZW. I don't know if it'll help here, but its a good first step.
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 of=/sdcard/aboot.img
You may need root for that, so don't let the device slip away. I'm sure root will be along shortly.

[Resolved] How to add Multi-Carrier support??

I have yet to figure out how to add more carriers into my ROM so
That it is more user friendly, sadly everyone I have asked about
Adding in Multi-Carrier support hasn't replied.
Hope someone can enlighten me on the subject a little.
Cheers.

Something in a rom with an aroma installer or you just port them each and post them in the respective forums. Which are you trying to do ?

I just wanted to port in some more carriers so when it first boots
the ROM is more compatible with more then just Telus users.
I haven't ever used aroma and don't plan to if I can.

With a Canadian ROM all the user needs to do is as their APN and change their build prop to reference their specific device. An easy way to do this would be to make a flashable zip with the apns.conf file and like the one from my ROM and then make a build prop for the at&t device or any other i747m device that the user can flash after installing the ROM.
apns-conf.xml - 198.08 KB
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
So basically I'd have to just create the flashable zip + updater-script, add in the apns-conf.XML file along with an at&t build.prop? Sorry to clarify, I'm just a little uncertain.

Yep that's the really basic way and it works for at&t and Canadian ROMs so you don't have to upload a whole new ROM. You can get more in depth if you so desire but then you'd need to do it as a separate ROM

Well I guess I better start learning some more of that updater-script stuff then, thanks very much @hednik now back to the Comp I suppose.

If you can wait I can make one tomorrow for you. I'm not good at it either but I've got a blank one I use for a template
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
I can most definitely wait, I think I may give it a go on my own as well so I can compare cause I'll probably end up giving myself a boot loop
I really appreciate the help dude.

Hello my watch has your code how is that?

Miui camera app with guide to enable all features

MIUI CAMERA FOR ZUK Z2
Found a way to use MIUI camera in our Device Zuk Z2.
Download
Updated Zip No Tweaks Required https://goo.gl/tCjQ8c
Old version MIA1 camera.zip :https://goo.gl/djA8hb
Procedure
Flash the zip via TWRP and its done
Legacy Method
Now, you need to edit Build.prop - either use an app or root explorer to edit it.
BUILD.PROP CHANGES ::
ro.product.device=gemini
This will trick the camera app to think that your phone is a MI5 and all features like manual mode, focus peeking, beautify, audio focus, slomo will start working
KNOWN BUGS
panorama,group selfie
Enjoy:fingers-crossed:
Works great ...:laugh:
I disabled the original cyanogen camera app for this
work great
thanks man !
Manual mode doesn't work completely :/
ISO and shutter speed don't
Any workaround for that?

Yes I did change the ones mentioned in initial post
I am on official AEX 4.6
There are 2 more lines in build.prop
Ro.product.model
Ro.aex.device
And there are some camera tweaks in there too:
persist.camera.imglib.fddsp=1
persist.camera.llc=1
persist.camera.llnoise=1
persist.camera.stats.test=0
camera.disable_zsl_mode=1
Do I have to change any of these too?

Seemed to work before the buildprop changes took effect. After flashing the zip, I managed to take some photos, I edited b.p through kernel auditor and rebooted. Since, I get the following error when taking a picture with the back facing camera. I am able to shoot video and 5ake selfies though.
Pease advise, noob here, but seems like something that should be solvable.
I am on AEX 4.6 as well.

If You want to play Fortnite as badly me then I will help you ...
Just follow the instruction
1. Using Build props edit apk on playstore edit the build prop to S7's build
2.now open magisk and hide it from all direction and rename the package in the settings or option
3.Now restart the phone....
Now installation
Download fortnite game but don't open
Now in magisk hide hide launcher and game both
Now disable the usb debugging also
Now open the game here you go the game works well
Note ...
My Config
Citrus CaF 7.1
Magisk 17.1
Gapps micro
Works with
Dot os 8.1
ACIP OS 8.1
(If u use 8.1 u can use s8,s9 and even note 9 build props) but it will have lag issues
Don't use thermal engine like ubercool and other stuff directly play ....becoz it may throttle the processor
If U have any doubt pls don't qoute the whole post below just replay

Could you share the S9 Build.prop lines? Like what all should I change?
And what do you mean by rename the package?
