ARV = Approximated Retail Value.

Some websites are saying that a China website have a listed price of $450 USD. Take it with a grain of salt though.

That seems too high. Maybe in another country and converted (as in Australia we have these silly taxes) but I would find $249 realistic, being a $50 premium over the others

More like a $20 premium over the LG G Watch? Isn't that $229?

It all depends on where you are in the world

It probably won't be coming to my country very fast so I'll import it from the US myself

anyone have any idea when the Motorola Moto360 is coming to india?

No idea on a release date. I Heard Aug sometime. Who knows.

Does anyone happen to know the validity of this 249$ price?

Damn that's expensive.

I guess, this is the cost of innovations nowadays

A regular quality watch already cost about 250-500$. I would happily buy this product between 250$-350$.

I have doubts that the watch is going to retail for $250, given that its competitors are selling for $200 (Gear Live) and $230 (G Watch)
Moto does however sell some competitively priced devices, maybe this will follow suit. However, I'd happily buy it for 300-350 dollars.

It's been listed for a while online in my local market for €290, or US$394, including 25% sales and value added tax, which would translate to €232, and US$315 respectively before tax, but with import duties to the EU.

A regular high quality watch will likely last longer. These smartwatches are consumables. Expect to change as often as changing phones, if not more frequently. Although not quite comparable I've been through a few, all from SonyEricsson. The non replaceable rechargeable battery will die, and of course technology marches on so either the next generation becomes more frugal, and hence lasting longer between charges, or slimmer, or more powerful, or all of it, and screens go up in resolution etc. Well, we all know the drill.

Good point and understood but i believe this is not a sony, samsung or lg product. The products of Motorola are made to stand well and last imho. Even if technologically it would grow old by time, a working and quality device would be enough for many of us after the years. I still have a V3 working in mint condition and that was bought in 2005. Bought a droid razr in 2011 which was pristine condition after two years of usage without any kind of protection. This is what i mean about motorola. The frame and the strap of the watch look to be made good quality. I wouldn't like them to market us a consumable plastic device that would break in a year but at least should last for 3-5 years. Hopefully they would deliver this kind of product to us with the 360. That's why i wouldn't want to them to price it cheap and sting me a new cheap made one every year. This is what sony and samsung does. :good:

A few are complaining about the Aluminum edge chipping easily.
Seriously, Apple makes some damn fine hardware. I love my Ubuntu\Win8\OSX triple boot MB Air even though they screwed up by not having power, usb and thunderbolt on the same side for vertical dock. I also wish it had 3G/4G radio for my old att unlimited data ipad plan.

PS...I told one of my friends about the quality issue...at first he didn't think much of it...but yesterday he told me his iPhone 5 has a bit on the aluminium edge that has not been painted properly....so I think there is a large proportion that are suffering from this quality issue

In my opinion, it does not matter where to produce. It does matter who is the brand owner. Almost all Apple products are made in China. Are their products of poor quality! If the manufactory in a country cannot meet the quality standard, the brand owner will not put their product in there for manufacturing. All the customers are looking for the brand for taking decision to buy, not the manufacturing country. The country cannot change the quality but the quality is set by the brand owner. If the quality is not good, blame the brand owner as usual, not the manufacturing country as the quality is set by the brand owner. The world and each country must provide a fair trade environment to ensure a fair and healthy competition and the customers and product providers are the final winners.
---------- Post added at 02:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:51 PM ----------
I have learnt the Korean brand products made in Korea is better than any export products. Do anyone know why? I have learnt the same on Japanese products that Japanese are keen on quality than anyone in other countries. Thus they provide better products for local consumption and lower quality for export to meet their quality level. I am unsure if it is correct or not. The human being demands quality continuously once they discover the better quality can be achieved.

That's about the pricing I was hoping for, so that's a definite yes on my half. Can't wait! Even if that's not the pricing for it, I'll still probably fork over the extra for it.
Hell yeah!

Yes indeed. Hoping to get it the day the become available!
For a smartwatch? Ehh, I'm a bit more on the border about dropping 250 for that. It's cool, but certainly not worth it.
Eh.. it looks really nifty, and I'd love to have it. But if I were to spend $250 on this, I would feel kind of devastated inside because for $250 (and $50 more), I can get something like the new Nvidia Shield Tablet, or a Nexus 7.
I was pretty damn happy with $250 [emoji33]
Do you think this will be available in stores the day of release?
$250 is the right price point for me i hope its available day of announcement
$250 was the amount that I decided would be cutoff, anymore than that didn't seem worth it, so I'm glad it is right on point. I will be getting this watch the second it is available.
I think I'll end up visiting the local BB on release day in the hopes of getting one. $250 isnt a bad deal IMO. I love my tech toys.
REALLY hoping there's not a delay for retailers such as Best Buy.
Know there have been rumors about multiple options via Moto Maker. I just want the silver one, and I have my own bands to change if I choose to do so. BUT, if Moto Maker gets a significant exclusivity-window, I'll be annoyed. A day or 2 is ok, but week+ is ridiculous. They've delayed this enough. I just want to use my $50 Best Buy gift card!! hahaha.
On the Android Wear G+ community, someone "in the know" posted that the watch would be ready for internet order only on Sept 5th.

I wonder if that will be for pre-order or if they will be shipping..?
The only thing that makes me think that the Moto360 won't be physically available on announcement day is this...
I got bored and searched Amazon for accessories for the Moto 360. About 10-12 screen protectors popped up from different venders. All of them had the same date for product shipping availability... October 18. I wouldn't care otherwise but they all picked the same exact date.

Raced down to my local Best Buy this morning when I saw they had some in stock. The guy in front of me was buying one! I asked the sales assistant if they had any more and she said "Yeah, I think we have one more left, let me find it.".
Comes back a couple minutes later and asks her manager where that last moto watch is. The manager says "Oh yeah, I bought it for myself!". You mother f.. I thought. The sales assistant replies to him "How do you sleep at night?".
Guess I'll just have to wait 2-3 weeks for mine to be shipped from Google.
The guy I dealt with at the Best Buy where I bought mine was pissed that he didn't know they got some in since he wasn't allowed to make a purchase on the clock.
Best Buy Knoxville, TN lists it as in stock online and in their site inventory system, but they know it isn't. They just can't be bothered to fix it. Asshats.

Friday they had Black, but it seems today it was all silver.
Mine flat out said they only got two silver and no black, and they are the only Best Buy within 120 miles that got any at all.
So the entire stock on hand for an area with a population of over a million people and ~5 Best Buy stores was two watches.
That's pretty darned pathetic, no matter how you slice it.

Nope. I was watching over his shoulder while he queried the inventory system. Also, most of the other nearby stores are smaller, or mobile-specific.
I stand by what I said: Motorola only provided two units for a combined population over a million people. (And chances are both of those were taken by Best Buy employees, which would explain why they showed stock but had none.)

I read on here that Best Buy employees can't buy stuff during their shift, so they probably stash them away until after work - you're right, that's probably why they show as in Stock all day.
That's exactly what the guy I bought mine from did with the 2nd one they got.

Yeah, when I worked there back in the day, the system would flag if you were clocked in and made a purchase. If it wasn't something like a soda or candy (for a break), you were guaranteed to have a manager talk to you about it. In my experience, always ended in a write-up for those involved. That said, it's certainly possible it was stashed. They get caught doing that, they'll also be written up.
I worked there during the time the Xbox 360 and Wii were hit items. Employees were not allowed to purchase those items. Corporate would often restrict those purchases, and people got terminated for trying to circumvent that policy.
I work at a Best Buy in AZ. Mobile, specifically. The inventory shortage described here is accurate.

Getting hold of additional charging docks?

Hi All,
I've been using my Huawei Watch for around a week now and can honestly say that I love it. I originally had the Gear S2 Classic but returned it after 4 days because I thought the Tizen app store was a bit too barron.
One thing I have tried to do since getting the W1 is buy another charger that I can take with me, I'd like to be able to leave the original on my bedside table for night charging but can't seem to find anywhere that sells the chargers for a reasonable price.
I live in the UK and have checked all the usual places but I'm even struggling to find one from the US ect. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
Thanks
EDIT: Sorry this should be in the accessories section, can a Mod please move? Thanks
If you're in the US you can buy them from the Huawei store. I don't think it's available anywhere else yet (at least I couldn't find it when I was searching for them).
You can buy one direct one from the Google store, although it's currently showing out of stock.
https://store.google.com/product/huawei_watch_charging_cradle
A bunch are sold on Ebay. Just search "huawei watch charger." I ordered on for $10 USD shipped from China. Don't know how good they are as it will take a couple of weeks to get here. I'd post a link but because I'm new on the forum the will not let me.
Thanks for the replies all, I'll keep an eye on the store for a couple of weeks and go with eBay if not.

Here is a thread we have started about third party chargers. Feel free to join in with your experience. I am going to order that one that @player911 linked to.
If you happen to have huawei band (the black round one), its charger can be used to charge huawei watch too.
I am waiting on a review/comparison before pulling the trigger.
We have ordered one of these and they are of very low quality, the huawei puck has a little bit different connection than the eBay one, making the eBay one even harder to line up when charging.
Received my $10 puck from eBay today - so far it's working great

I bought one in Romania from cel.ro . I don't know if they ship outside my country. It was 40 USD, the original one.
Personally, I bought the original one from the Google store yesterday. Not sure I would trust a cheap chinese replica even at £9 instead of the £29 price tag of the original. The watch is expensive enough without tempting the devil with a charger that was manufactured by a 7yo.
But i think it's too expensive for a charger like this. It could be a bit cheaper

I agree, it is expensive, but when you look at the box, you know where the money goes! lol
Plus, I've seen quite a few posts online about people buying those cheap chinese chargers and they burned the back of the watch... so I'd rather pay £10 more and ensure it is fully compatible with my watch.

I doubt that this box costs more than a dollar to make and I doubt that a defective charging pad can damage your watch since there is just to little current going through it. There is a good argument to be made for buying a good quality charger but the charging pad is just a few pins and wire, no way I am paying 40 Euro for that if there is an alternative.
Check this:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=272087873263&alt=web
I think its a good idea to have a charger with micro usb plug
I bought a knock off Henoda off Cramazon, I believe $10 bucks free prime ship. I've used it several times, it actually connects better than OEM, I have to fiddle with OEM to get it to connect. So far no real issues.
Your mileage may vary ala Benson Leung's Google testing and frying a chromebook

I'm so frustrated for not having pre-ordered it, and now i'm unable to know when it will be back in stores... i should have bought it on Samsung store or Amazon when it was still there... arghhhhh

Samsung told me it would be a minimum of 3 weeks to get a replacement for my faulty Note 7. They will replace all the faulty Note 7s then restock the stores. That will be I would say around 6-8 weeks.

In Israel official launch for those who preordered should have begun tomorrow...
But now It's unclear, samsung officials have no Idea when the device is coming.
Im so disappointed, I am waiting since april for the device, and I would gladly pay for an expolding device and take that minimal risk it has a defect.
An exploding note7 is much better than my current LG G2 mini..
To be honest I think they should exchange our phones first. We are dealing with potential life/fire/explosion hazard so...
No one knows the answer to the OP's question not even, in fact especially, Samsung. WE are all going to just have to wait this one out. It will make ownership when it comes even more of a delight.
I hope they take the time to sort the CG glass problem out.
I guess non of us are good at waiting eh!

This is indeed a problem. Have you noticed though that all reviewers and many customers moan about paying 880€ for the Note 7 but no one is moaning about the cost of the iPhone 7 that is some areas is superior to the Note 7 and in other areas inferior. The iPhone 7 here would cost me 250€ MORE!
Both good mobiles and though very different will please most of their customer clientele.
I have my Note 7 on order due to exchange programme and am fortunate enough to be able to wait. I am still using my SG S6 Edge +. After using an S-AMOLED QHD screen no way could I return to IPS FHD technology, just my choice. I respect others. :good:

:good:

eh eh, what you ask me is about Cupertino marketing perception. I would go really off topic to reply on that, and would not be enough exhaustive.
Just hope Samsung will manage well this moment of crisis, otherwise from my side not big deal. Theirs Android concurrent will gain more market space, and for me this is nice as well. After all even a fragmented Android market is far more strong than Apple without Jobs.
More competition, more benefits for us, and next time samsung: do not be so greed... make telephone that can be open... all your problems would be now vanished:angel:, if you really want to give us water resistant features do a decent cover that REALLY goes under water

wait, still looks not official...
I was informed that my preorder (in Stockholm/Sweden) will be delivered end of October
So with the battery issue has there been any reports of bundled promotions to win back customers? Ex. The S7 Edge had a Best Buy bundle of a VR, wireless charger and memory card at one point.
