[Q] Canadian LTE Model (AT&T too)

I use Fido in the GTA and would like to get a Note II. There are multiple models as per this list posted here:

SGH-i317 looks to be the right one as samsung.ca explicitly lists the Note II model as the SGH-I317M.
One thing I haven't been able to confirm is whether the GT-N7105 is compatible with Rogers/Fido/AT&T's LTE implementation. The specs between the two look to be identical.
Are there any Canadians using LTE with a GT-N7105? Any Americans using it with AT&T LTE?

I believe the SGH-i317 is the AT&T-US model which isn't available yet. There are apparently some European models that support LTE but on bands different that here in the Americas. (The way I understand it.)

the telus, rogers, and bell note 2 model is SGH-i317M. The AT&T is the SGH-i317. In the past the Canadian versions of samsung phones with the M and the end is exactly the same as the model without the M. I guess they just throw an M in there is signify that its the Canadian version.
I dont know this for sure but I can see why they would suddenly change the way they number these phones. So I'm thinking roms/mods/tools etc for the AT&T SGH-i317M will work just fine for the Canadian SGH-i317M

I don't think that is the right information posted regarding N7105. N7105 is LTE version of N7100 that was launched in Asia which uses different LTE bands tha NA. From what I gather online, N7105 uses "LTE2600 (B7), LTE800 (B20)" which is incompatible with North American providers.

This is wrong! I'm with Rogers, always have been, and most of my Samsung devices have an "M" after the standard model number. While it's true that they've used "R", most devices now have the letter "M".

Addendum: The letter "M" after the standard model number simply signifies the Canadian variant of the AT&T unit.

Here's the deal. The reason there is the M after the Canadian version is that the Canadian version is indeed different. They will most likely have the same 3G and LTE radios so they should work on similar US and Canadian networks. The major difference between the two will be that the bastards at AT&T don't like FM radios in their devices. I don't know why AT&T does this. They just like to screw their customers.

Any idea which version will be ending with with Wind Mobile and the other AWS carriers?

I got F400S from ebay with 800 us dollars and free shipping.

For Reference Price in Hong Kong is about
F400S - $5300-5400
F400L - $4900-5000
800USD seems very expensive.

what is the best for roms and updates easy and faster to comes first ?

I don't know, I bought an S version because it has LTE-A on battery cover. I don't use LTE but it is ok for Romania if I want to get a LTE plan. I heard it's ok also for US AT&T.

i mean there is locked bootloader like the sony z2 cause i had sony z2 with locked bootloader and its possible to open it and root it so is it the same with lg ?
and yes i have lte

It seems root can be made easily. I am waiting for the device in few days. Anyway I'll try the method from towelroot first as it seems it works with almost all phones, including Samsung new Knox devices without tripping Knox.

Why not just wait for euro version? Better fitted on radio etc and its not a pre production unit.

Will the Euro Version work on T-Mobile?

Here are the specs:
GSM850, GSM900, GSM1900, UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1)

Since there is no T-mo availability announcement, I am thinking of buying if it will work.

US T-mobile is 1700 and 2100 MHz, the international version of the G3 only supports 2100MHz out of those two frequency's. It looks like you need both. According to the Wikipedia they are rolling out 700MHz and 1900MHz which the international G3 supports 700MHz so you may be able to use this band (if they use it).

In fact you need one of those two frequency' its not 'mandatory, to catch the 2 frequency....depending wich frequency is used where you living of course

one of them will just find your band then look at what Korean one you need

Check the variety of topics on the F400S/K/L and you will see the bands are posted so you can determine if it will work for you or not rather than starting a new thread.
