And now attach an actual Nexus 5 thumbnail
But whats wrong with GCC 4.8?
edit: yay first.
edit2: Shouldn't this be in Android Development instead of Original? Because this is mostly stock with extras from other roms.

Sprint devices can update prl and profile ?

We use so much work done from us, including Bricked kernel, and so much optimizations with a few things from other ROMs. If you base you OD ideas on the things you can see I think you do not know as much about this as you think

Awesome!!!

you need source up, especially since you are using a custom kernel.

Thanks for bringing this over to the N5 Hammerhead...
Edit: Downloaded and flashing now.

For some reason I thought there was already a Nexus 5 Illusion Rom in the XDA Development Threads.... I must be mistaken. I loved Illusion Rom on my old Galaxy S3. I think I will give this baby a try. Thanks dev.
NEXUS 5

There is an Illusion rom, was in original development forever, & then the mods did their brain storming & anyway the other Illusion thread is in android development, way towards the bottom, search, you'll find it. Rom is running good, I did have about 3 or 4 random reboots.

Illusion has been around forever. Mike Ramsay created it years ago. He left development for life (house kids job etc.) Many people have "taken over the project" but the illusion we see today is 0% of what it used to be.

I'm aware of this, not the details you've provided, but yeah, I've been using Illusion since I had the Note 2, even have a build a friend developer made for HTC evo 4G, I flashed every release of Illusion from other thread, I was just answering the guy who posted that he thought there was another thread.

So yes MikeRamsey is missed but now Herma in da house! Lets support this dev. If Illusion fails to return its not the devs skill s that hindered it but the community that cheers him on.

It was moved to development thread, any commits related to other roms normally go there.

Just reflashed, full clean wipe, while setting up, restoring apps using TB had several reboots. Had that issue before on a couple roms using TB, so I thought when I was done it would stop. Nope, just randomly using phone, now & then triggers a reboot.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2

still no source? this is the second time asking for it.
so you believe in open source for your own needs, but for everyone else it doesnt matter. hold up the priciples of open source or your rom does not belong here.

Wow! Awesome! Thanks! First!
Edit: been running this since you posted and it is very, very smooth. I haven't run into a single glitch and while it doesn't have as many bells and whistles as say AOKP, it is rock solid stable and performs better than any ROM I've run on my NS4G to date. Thanks again for another amazing ROM as usual!
been running all day.
smooth as butter. no issues so far
also running latest trinity 1.32.
How Do I Flash This
Is there a video on YouTube I can watch?
I don't know how to do this, the instructions make several assumptions. I have flashed using Odin before, which was pretty easy but the method on this wiki page is confusing. And under the how to flash sticky here. Can I flash via Odin?
WHOOOPPP 4th lol
Is it just me or was Auto-Brightness fixed? Seems to be working for me. And I'm sure it's been noted before but what's the story with haptic feedback in the notification power-widget?
Auto brightness is fixed for me also, great job guys, I had downloaded this earlier from the cyanogenmod website but as I'm testing this release further I'm having issues adding custom Widgets to the lockscreen , it keeps saying no more room on the home screen, any help?
Edit:Fixed nevermind

I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM, EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to produce my own work of art.
Letter from Developer:
I just want to start off, by thanking all of the users who have been following and working with FactoryROM since it's recent release. As stated above, this is my first public AOSP ROM, built strictly from source and it has been quite an experience. Needless to say,
working by myself on this project was taking all of my free time, plus it started cutting into my work & family schedule (I have 3 boys ages 1 ,2 and 4). Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining by any means. I love this hobby, but I have to draw a line somewhere ( I have a hard time doing that sometimes). In order to continue to do what I do best, I decided to join Team Sourcery. If you have been in the dark, Team Sourcery develops a ROM called JBSourcery. JBSourcery has been built from the ground up and offers by far, more customization options than any ROM on the forums. It is going to be my job to create a more fluid User Interface among other things. I ask that you all give Sourcery a shot.. whether you have used Sourcery in the past or not, you are going to be in for a treat in the future releases. So whats happening with FactoryROM? I will continue to update the source of FactoryROM from Google and implement any changes that may occur up stream. I will try and post a weekly update as promised. I will not be adding any more custom features from now on. I hope everyone understands my situation, and I look forward to serving you with Team Sourcery.

Much, much, more.....
This is JUST THE START of a project that I have been working on. Basically I have a
very stable base with a great set of options to customize the phone to your personal
preference. I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM,
EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most
of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this
is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the
functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to
produce a work of art. The next step for FactoryROM is to include some of my own
settings and options, but first things first...

I want this rom to be the go to for a CLEAN AOSP experience. Ultimate battery, performance and reliability OUT OF THE BOX, that's the goal of the rom. I picked the source that impressed me the most to do add my own layer of optimizations over it, tailor made for our device and it's hardware, more than a bot building the same source for 15 different devices. This rom may not be for those who feel the need to flash nightlies and even weeklies as I will always pick refinement over the addition of features. The base will only be updated when a new version is proven to be as clean as current version and when time allows it. To those who like the sound of it, you're in for for something great
W03Tweaks are back in v47.1
- Boosted headphone volume. Let's say our hardware capability is 0db, stock CM value was -7db, and our new value is +3db. So +10db boost. Note at full volume you might get a bit of audio clipping if your music is loud and well peaked, just take it down a notch
- Simplified multi-core handling
- Tweaks to PegasusQ governor, for optimal speed and battery
- ROW default CPU scheduler
- Disabled gentle-fair sleepers = better deep sleep
- AFTR+LPA sleep mode = better deep sleep
- 2048kb storage read-ahead = better sd cards performance
- Fixed Android 4.3+ possible battery drain related to gsiff_daemon
- Built-in ad-block host file
- Few ringtones and notification sounds from Samsung roms
- Greater virtual memory values for our big 2gb RAM
- Slower wifi scan = better battery
- Other deep sleep tweaks
- Disabled useless error-checking (logcat still works)
- Optimized mobile data connection (TCP buffers and fixed radio settings)
- Enabled AMR wideband calls for carriers that supports it

It is not recommended to flash SuperSU anymore, caused issue to some people. The built in Superuser now works with ART, it's our reliable root

Got some huge news tonight guys
BeanStalk has been a priceless rom to build an use from the start, since android 4.4 it's got harder to maintain, bugs staying there release after release and some too deep for me to fix
With the free time that comes with the holidays I've looked for a new source for us to base on. It's been a though call but I'm confident I made the right one and you'll be the ones who judge of that
There will be no more BeanStalk + W03Tweaks
Our new rom will be Temasek CM11 + W03Tweaks
I've been working on it and running it during the last days and I have to say: it's the best rom I've ever run
Imagine the features we love of beanstalk, and without the bugs, source being built super carefully and updated very often
The perfect rom if there's a such thing hehe
We've been an incredible team in this thread, and fear not this is not over it's just getting better
In here
I won't close this thread, wil be open for people who want to keep using BeanStalk but my work focus is on Temasek rom now and I invite you to give it a shot (and have your mind blown )
Good weekend people!!

You're more than welcome brother. Thanks for allowing to break down the builds.
Tried flashing the Rom..... It got stuck in a boot loop. Ended up restoring my omni back up. I even installed the new twrp recovery as well.... Still wouldn't load. Tried 3 times.

Had no issues myself. However, the Goo download failed for me, on both my phone and PC. But the Dev host worked fine. Maybe a bad download or possibly a upload. Did you flash anything else with the Rom?
With myself, I always flash busybox, animation mod, modem, cpusleep, and some inverted google apps as well. I've not had a problem yet doing so, since 4.2.2 but if you are flashing extra stuff and it's hanging, they may also be the cause. But if you haven't already try the Dev host Link.

Have it up and running! Sensors still seem a bit screwy though, compass/gyro rotates backwards and seems to stop working requiring a reboot to come back, also my proximity sensor was stuck on my first boot, will have to test tomorrow if its working properly.
Otherwise, solid! Would love to see system DPI settings added back, but I was able to get that working with pimp my ROM. Going to test app settings shortly!
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
Edit: app settings seems to be working just fine!
Also, are the sensor issues I am experiencing ROM related or kernel related? I had the exact same issues with the last two beanstalk releases by will. As far as I can tell its an issue with 4.4.2
Is anyone else having these issues or know how to fix them? This is my last sticking point for these ROMs and might be a dealbreaker making me head back to my last solid beanstalk 4.4rc1 release.
Only flash gapps and the Rom and that's it..... Will try reflashing the recovery and see if that fixes the issue.
Sent from my SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
So is this rom better than beanstalk? And can someone check if snapchat video recording works or its stops at 1 sec?

ROM is as good and imho smoother. There are a few little things missing, but they will probably be included in future updates. Snapchat video works but you need to set the quality to low. If you use standard you will only get 1 second. I've found this to be the case on all 4.4.2 ROMs I've tried.

This is a great ROM. I've been running it since last night and have had no issues. HKtheme manager from xposed framework also works great with this. My new daily, thank you.
Run this since I compiled it. Only thing I have noticed it that camera takes about 4 shots then won't take more. Closing and reopening results in 4 more. Using Google music and had none of the playing issues other reported on many 4.4 ROMs. Nfc and Bluetooth seem to work fine although I only tested using beam. Don't have LTE so can't test that.
Anyone else find an issue please report it.

General Info & Introduction
Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Many device manufacturers have brought to market devices running Android, and they are readibly available around the world.
Rooting: Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user.

Jelly bean (4.1-4.3) was last years (older) android verdion. Kit kat (4.4-4.4.2) is the newest versjon with some new features and supposedly runs better on lower end devices than ics/jb roms. What most users will actually notice about kik kat is actually the lack of features that jelly bean had. Those features are slowly being added in. All my source roms are kit kat.
Now about moving from beanstalk. I like beanstalk best so far. It has the most features of any kit kat out so far and I have almost no issues with it. Not to say this rom is not good but just not as many goodies.
Also I updated the gapps link to slims gapps download page. For this rom I suggest using the minimum package since thinking bridge does not have a dark toggle. If you use aio package your gapps will be dark (not that dark is bad).
