Did you wipe everything before flashing? I haven't had any problems but I am on a T999

Working fine for me. If it helps I did full wipe & used twrp. Oh and I'm using a different kernel

Different kernel did the trick for me.. great rom. very smooth and deeply AOSPed.. loving it so far..:good:

Yup everytime I flash a new rom I do a FW. I use TWRP. I suspect my carrier's sim card videotron. now. Cause I searched everywhere and did all the tips in XDA and google and nothing works.

It's heavily debloated. If you need the file I can send you the apk or just pull it from a gapps package

So how are people liking this rom. Thinking of maybe running it. Just don't know yet. I like the whole asop look but i need wifi calling so this is probably the best option. Im not going to all about battery life because I have a Lemon.

FAQ/Issues
ON NJ2 DON'T INSTALL THE GALAXY 5 PHOTO EDITOR IN AROMA. It will cause the gallery to crash.
Smart network switch still shows on first boot in the wifi connection. Haven't found the cause yet. DON'T USE IT, it causes issues.
Wanam Torch, using the home button for flashlight will cause extra battery drain. It creates a wakelock and will show Android System to be consuming a lot of battery.
Wanam Xposed breaks auto brightness. disable the setting in wanam>themes>brightness slider settings.
Wanam Clock and battery mods do not work.
Wanam lock screen tweaks shouldn't be used.
Clock will be dim on first boot till you enter the Extras menu then the color will appear.
Modified Note 2 and Note 3 camera will FC only on 720p video recording. Will fix later.... Can't fix
I'm only going to support the new NE4 bootloader, modem and kernel set up. If you don't want to update your bootloaders then you need to use ktoonsez kernel for TW 4.4.2. I cannot support issues due to kernel.
Base should be pretty stable, please report any bugs. If at all possible please try and recreate the issues while running a logcat. The issue can be solved much faster then just telling me "this don't work".

Which camera? Don't ever think that was a feature of touch wiz, so I'm going to say no the camera does not work while the screen is off.

The camera icon on the secure lockscreen.
EDIT: Installed the ROM and the camera icon does not show on the secure lockscreen.

If I understand correctly I can install this rom while still on the older bootloader and modem but I just have to flash ktoonsez kernel afterwards ?

I know this build just got released. I DL'ed it. saved it to both micro sd card and device storage. ran nandroid backup (just in case). using philz recovery 6....although tempted to revert back to twrp because I like the GUI.
after doing the necesary and usual wipes, installation is aborted.
I tried to install the rom first and ktoon's kernal afterwards. something tells me I may or may not be doing this backwards.
I need a quick FAQ. I'm dying to try out s3rx 4.0 -- thanks enewman17 for this.

Try flashing again. After it fails, look for an option to copy log to sd. Then post that here.
You might also want to consider trying with TWRP. If I'm not mistaken that's enewman17's preferred recovery so my guess would be thats what he tested it on. (I could be wrong about that, just going by his other threads.)

I used twrp 2.7.1.0 to flash. But if you try again can you save the install log from recovery. It will at least give me an idea of what happened.

I didn't add any. Does 4.4.2. Support it? Did Samsung add it to TW? If not then no. But I'll look into it.

I remember seeing that it was added with 4.3, but if you look at the lists of supported devices the S3 is not listed, so I am not sure anymore.
if im not mistaken, it was added in 4.3 along side of support for the Gear and other wearables. I could be wrong though....

At least mobile data isn't working for me, no 4g, LTE or 3g. I know you don't support anything other than the NE4 bootloaders/modems, but it's a non starter at the moment. Not sure if it's a quick line edit or a much bigger issue?

TWRP is recommended. But I am sure other recoveries will work as well. Make sure you have a backup handy just in case there is a problem with the flash.A FULL wipe is required. If you dirty flash thats on you. After the phone boots up, PLEASE let it sit for a few minutes to load up. Then reboot and profit.
HOW TO DO A FULL WIPE....( TWRP )
In TWRP there is a WIPE tab. When you select it, it brings you to the next page to perform a wipe. On that page it tells you what is going to be wiped at the top. IE:Factory Reset,Cache, and Dalvik. On the bottom of that page is a Swipe to Factory Reset. Swipe it. Once it has completed its actions hit the back button.
Now you will see a tab that says Advanced Wipe. Select it. On the next page you NEED to select the following:
DALVIK CACHE
SYSTEM
CACHE
After you have made those selections you need to Swipe to Wipe at the bottom of the page. Once it completes its actions you may then flash your rom. Now everyone knows how to perform a FULL WIPE.

Wondering the same thing.

I'm loving it. ...wooooot I can finally post stuff !!!!!....I digress without all my normal build prop tweaks I redownloaded my normal apps quite quickly and minimal battery drain while still very fluidly without much lagging still did other random tasks thanks @The Sickness superb as always

Knowing my luck just me in the glanceview thing lol which sux bc I finally figured out how to make my own image on it too XD o well I'll probably figure out how to fix it eventually

I keep having the same issue why do I keep loosing signal it just stays on searching and then WiFi calling error. Does anyone know why?

I just incorporated the data fix into the rom so no need to flash the data fix. Just thought I update the thread for those not familiar on how just flashing the data fix thx to @gaganmohal for the fix on any n910f rom and a custom kernel such as AEL multi, or Bioshock latest would let these roms run on your devices. So basically saying no need to Port anything anymore really, when original thread updates you just repeat the process with the data fix. This goes for any rom port on these threads or n910f. So all the great work really goes to the original devs of the Rom, amazing work on all these but the theme on @BoBCatRoM cant ever be beat in my opinion for TW!

I was having the same issue with the stock browser
fc'ing after I installed stock bobcatrom v2 with the
separate evo theme this morning.
Still have not found a fix for that.
I did fix the gallery issue by over-writing the
gallery with the gallery in bobcatrom v1.
I have just downloaded your port and am anxious to
check it out... Will let you know how it goes.

Up and running and all good, gallery is good on my end..i dont use the stock browser just chrome.
Only thing not working is my home button, tried remapping with xposed additions and it works for recents on a long press but not clicking for home. Recents key is remapped as menu and working perfect.
Ill figure it out eventually lol...small price to pay for having this running on my device!

That's correct, based on the international rom so no volte or WiFi calling I'm aware of. Us here in Canada no WiFi calling support yet which is a bummer

Just fixed the default samsung internet browser.
All anyone has to do to fix the default internet browser
is to go into settings>application manager>all and then
simply scroll down to the stock internet browser then
clear it's cache and clear data and reboot the phone.
After that the stock internet browser app will work fine.
(this fix is in case your stock browser does not work)

How to install the rom:
1. Download a custom recovery, TWRP or CWM/Philz
2. Download the rom and put it on your phone
3. Lollipop bootloader and modem is a MUST. I even want you to update your current to the latest one, the bootloader is and the new modem can be downloaded here!
4. Boot into download mode, put the bootloader in BL tab and the modem in CP tab. Hit start and wait until your phone reboots (latest Odin is attached here)
5. Backup all your things to your external SD card
6. Reboot to recovery
7. Install the rom
8. Select IN AROMA what kind of an install you like to do: dirty flash, clean install or full wipe
9. Reboot and wait for 10 minutes or so

Good morning, first thanks to the rom... is very good know that we have a hope in our S4 yet. I have a question.. to stock kernel work, is necessary the same bl and modem? And.. superSu and root works properly with it? I ask you 'cause in other rom (goldeneye), with stock kernel apps that need root only work if "root mode" in SU apps was setted "alows', of mode is "ask", popup do not appear and that apps do not work. Sorry for my english

Bug report. In s6 gallery pictures are only shown in white. Cannot view images. Is just me or others also experience this? Thanks

If you would read in the OP it said a bug is the S6 gallery will not show the thumbnails but he will try and fix.

You'll need compatible Lollipop modem and boot loader for stock kernel to work without issues.

I have flashed this ROM and still wait for play store apps to download and since it's very slow process (still 66 out of 137 for 3 hours) and I don't want to waste more time I'd like to ask something I saw during setup. I selected the Hulk kernel and saw an info that apps will optimize at each reboot (that takes 2-3 hours on my phone) will this happen always? and if I understood correctly, I have to uninstall stweaks to avoid this or just disable some feature in there? if that's the case I'd like to know so that I uninstall it before I restart as I don't want to lose another couple of hours.
