[Q] Notification bar in immersive mode - Paranoid Android Q&A

I was wondering whether there is a way to have immersive mode only hide the status bar and not the notification bar. I saw you could do this on previous versions of PA and it would be awesome if I still could.

Yeah. The change log thread covers exactly how to do this.

All I could find was this.

And it doesn't show up like that on my phone.

Looks like Widgetsoid does the same just for free.

Yes, but the look and feel you can have with the paid one is more close to ICS Theme... and 0.79€ is quite cheap...

Navigation Bar Personalization

Dear friends,
Does someone know if there is any application to easily edit the icons on the navigation bar?
Try Super Status Bar: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=super+status+bar

Thank you for the reply,
With "Navigation bar" I mean the bottom galaxy nexus's bar (where you can find the Home and Back buttons). Not the status bar.
Oh sorry, I misunderstood!
I have no idea for that

Thank you,
I already saw this but, doing so, I must manually change icons. This is so boring!
I am looking for some application that simplifies this process
I don't think that's been build yet, just stop being lazy

Okay lol I don't think I can help you, never owned a nexus device, and still don't, just came across this thread and wanted to help out .
Replacing the icons is just 3/5 icons, that shouldn't be that hard.

Of course, you're right!
But if I want to try many sets of icons it becomes very annoying

Mod, can this be moved to Q&A?
You can do it from aokp ROM settings. I assume you'd have to be on aokp tho

I downloaded and installed masturmods but unfortunately when I go to apply the changes for the navigation bar's icons nothing happens
I think it's compatible only with ICS and not with JB
i have followed the soft keys thread here on the forum and had to factory reset the phone twice.. so be carefull, it even worked once but then after a reboot it all disapeared :/
will be happy to get a better way to make that instead of using metomorph again
Try Sorcery rom. Has that option. Has like 100 to choose from and you can still change em manually if desired.
Today's CM10.1 nightly brings some personalizations for the navigation bar. :highfive:
In part I solved the problem, even if with this, for now, we can't change buttons images.
Just use 7zip to open systemui.apk. drag and replace your own PNG into it (don't extract, just open). Use any available systemui cwm flashable zip in themes thread, replace with your edited systemui.apk. Flash in recovery, clear cache/dalvik. Reboot.

sorry, i don't really see what the difference is but it is availanle in the playstore as mentioned above. my guess is it's not available on TW, so you'll have to wait and see...
I flashed the same zip file a week ago and when you pull down the notification shade and use two fingers to expand the text notificatiion, there are three options: "Reply, Read, Call". Try flashing it.

What zip file? And can you reply in the notification bar or does a separate box come up after you hit reply?

I'm not on TouchWiz I'm running DeviantXone and it is an AOSP ROM. And the difference is..... quick reply opens up a separate box after you hit reply; what I'm talking about, when you hit reply, nothing pops up and you can literally reply in the notification bar!

Why are the PA settings gone?

I've just installed PA 4.2 beta 2 on my device and I have noticed that the PA settings app is gone. Is this intentional? Does anybody have any idea about the reasoning behind this?
Maybe because they have started everything from scratch with KitKat?
Maybe you should read the change log thread?

I'm running ViperOne and my notification bar looks like that, I think? I'm using a different font and my toggles at the top are different, but everything else looks very close.
