Take the recovery .tar file from here according to your firmware (4.1.2 or 4.2.2) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315529
Then follow this step by step instructions : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46395577&postcount=19
This will have to be done each time you flash a firmware through Odin.
If after flashing you get a bootloop, simply boot into recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache and you'll be good :good:

Yea same will work for i9082L, just make sure the recovery you are using is compatible with 4.1.2 or 4.2.2, whichever you are flashing it on.
You can flash CM10.1 through any recovery you are using (but CM10.1 only works on 4.1.2 firmware)

Could I Put this on the sdcard instead of the internal memory?
Also this is what it says when ever i try to flash CM 10.1 or any other ROM
Finding update package...
Opening update Package...
Installing update...
Install from sdcard complete.
Then when I reboot the phone it stays at the Samsung Galaxy Grand page.

Yes you can put it on sd card.
Make sure you are on 4.1.2 before installing CM10.1, if you are not that's the reason for your bootloop.
And wipe data/cache/dalvik before flashing CM10.1 or any other ROM.
Still doesnt work. :crying:
It was stock 4.1.2, then I tried to update it to 4.2.2 using ODIN but it failed (This is the reason why i'm trying to install CM 10.1).
Is the phone 4.2.2 or 4.1.2?

Your firmware flash failed in the middle? If this happened you need to reflash the 4.1.2 firmware before you can flash any ROM on it.

Do you know where to get the firmware? Or a guide I can follow? Most download links are from hotfile and it shut down.
Thanks for helping btw.

This could be happening due to several reasons,
- you might have renamed the tar file, or have a corrupted download. Both of these would cause a checksum error in odin
- the image might not be packed properly, you might want to download the ones made on newer firmwares like 6.0.4.5 by pawitp or 6.0.3.6 by Mohanshbhr.
It would be helpful if you could post the fail message from Odin here and the source links/names of the files you are using.
Ateekujjawal is right, it's not an error, just a notification informing you of your current system.
FYI, only the latest firmwares have the emmc notification. If you were to flash even the November firmware builds of 4.2.2, you wouldn't have it at all.

Problem with CWM and Flashing Custom Roms

Hey guys i need some help. I took out my old Galaxy Grand Duos and thought about rooting it to get Android Kitkat ( I have an International version which has never been rooted before ). I rooted it successfully however I am facing problem with the CWM recovery. When i first installed it I was getting the 'No Command" error. I read on XDA that I need to perform a battery pull in order to get the CWM working. I did that and it worked but it only works when I use odin to flash it. Otherwise when ever I enter recovery I get the 'No Command' error. What should I do?
Secondly im trying to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563557 . When i get the CWM working (by flashing it with Odin) there seems to be an error which prevents me from flashing this rom. The message I get is *Cant install this package on top of incapable data. Please try another package or run a factory reset. Error in (the file location and name) (Status 7) Installation aborted*
Thanks in advance

You need to have latest recovery to flash.
Any latest recovery has SE Linux support. Choose latest version or build of your choice from below threads and flash it using your recovery..

Step1- Download Stock ROM from SAMMOBILE (for your device)
Step2- since you are in DN4... you would be having custom ROM -- clean your device by formating system/data/cache/etc etc
Step3- go to download mode (volume down+menu+power) and connect to your PC where ODIN is running...ensure you have Samsung USB driver installed on your PC
Step4- flash stock ROM downloaded in step 1
that is it....
Cheers

No It wont.... System, Data, Internal storage are the ones you should clean up when ever you change your ROM...
Samsung stopped at 4.4.2 for Note 2
DN4.2 is TOUCHWIZ at 4.4.4 (SG3 base ROM)
CM12.1 is AOSP, 5.1.1 r8

Look on the back of your phone, at the bottom, and confirm it is a 920P.
If so, head over to the General section and there you will find all the guides and info you need.
