Dualboot
Hi everyone
I have a Xiaomi M2s right now and the thing i like the most about the device is that it has 2 system partitions and that I can install MIUI on my first partition and CM11 on my second partition. This is ideal if you want to test a ROM but keep one stable system.
Is there any chance that there will be a way to re-partition the one plus to have this? Also CMW would need to have true dual boot right or is this a stock feature?
I don't know if partitioning is common on other devices?

The backups created appear to not have the correct dates for filenames. They start with 1970...

Is this a offical build? Will it be listened on clockworkmod.com anytime soon?

Does anybody have problems with mounting the SD card through CWM? On my device CWM wont backup because of not being able to mount the sd card. I solved this error by reflashing CWM through fastboot, but why does this error occur?

Seems that it happens on all recoveries ATM. Happened to me on TWRP. hopefully the developers can fix the source of the problem soon.
What ROM were you running when this happened? I'm trying to narrow down whether its a ROM or recovery issue...or both...

I'm on stock CM11S

I'm try to build a lot of rom but all of these bootloop or take a lot of time to start, or data partition unmount itself after a reboot.
No issue using PA version 20140708
So I think there is some issue in the last sources, otherwise if it was a problem of recovery also paranoid should have bootloop.
Now I'm trying to build PA with last sources

what about an update?touch edition?

ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.1.4
Here is a CWM-Based 6.0.1.4 Recovery built from source
Disclaimer
I am not responsible if you break, brick, hump, throw against wall or any other action you do to your phone By using this recovery. you agree anything that happens is your own noobtastic fault. Any attempts at blaming me for anything other than this being fantastic will result in you being pointed and laughed at.
what is "recovery" ?
Recovery mode is a minimal, alternative mode of booting which allows you to install software from zip files, backup/restore your device, and perform low-level operations like factory reset and formatting partitions. All Android devices have a recovery mode (it's part of the stock AOSP environment), but the default recovery mode is very limited. For example, it only allows you to flash zips which have been signed by the vendor's private key.
ClockworkMod Recovery was developed by Koushik Dutta (@koush), and is much more flexible... If you want to flash CyanogenMod, you MUST have a non-stock recovery. Right now that means ClockworkMod Recovery.
Download link : http://www.mediafire.com/?on3x3oydjiy2i6j
How to install:
just flash the recovery zip
Changelog:

amon ra 2.2.1 is old and this is new and compiled from ics branch, and why you need to reformat your sdcard partition, after flash recovery it will not delete your any sdcard partition and from wiki ext4 is

Recovery Package [Goo]
http://goo.im/devs/playground/trltesku/
This is the CWM-based Philz Touch Recovery with a shiny new kernel, SELinux tweaks, and some other modifications that enable it to run on the N910T and N910W8 out of the box.
May also run on the Sprint and AT&T variants, but make sure to have a copy of a working recovery handy in case you need to restore.

[Recovery]Philz Touch Recovery - Ported to North America
The initial version uses a kernel for the N910W8 and SELinux policy settings from the N910T. If that combination works for me, I can almost guarantee it will work on either of those devices because those values would not match up.

Edit: nevermind. The issue is obviously deeper than the fstab or SELinux
Thanks for your hard work. I'm happy to test if you need anything.
After a lot of building, rebuilding, reconfiguring, etc some new builds are finally up.
The current version only supports identifying itself as a T-Mobile device until fully tested.
Rather than modifying the existing European version for the US, this now fully source-built.

Flashed cm11 plus all zips , rom boots fine. Except for the part where the screen doesn't display anything (stays blank and off), however I can swipe to unlock and get the vibration as well as turn the volume up and down and get the sound that is associated. Any ideas I've done it twice with full wipes of everything I could wipe asside from the sd card

It's working on my S3 fine. And the nethunter zips are just a kernel and a zip that runs a bunch of scripts and extracts a CHROOT.

Do you think that it would have anything to do with what version of cm11 that is being used, I r what baseband? (I'm noob ish when it comes to that) cuz cm11 works fine then I flash everything and it shows the Droid logo or w/e and then goes blank with the soft keys illuminating, as well as responding to touch (side note I had forgotten to authenticate the adb connection prior so I could easily reboot to recovery and was able to bring up and select ok to allow it w/o the screen being visible, so it must be something driver related to the display)

[RECOVERY] [MULTILANGUAGE] TWRP for Huawei Mate 8 **UPDATE 5/22/16**

Here is TWRP for the Mate 8. You must have an unlocked bootloader to flash this. After you flash this then you can root by flashing SuperSU after booting into TWRP. When installing a ROM for the first time you must go into TWRP and go to Wipe, then Format Data and do a format or else your internal storage will not be recognized.

Changelogs:
4-05-16: Updated to TWRP 3.0.2 Multi Language and changed some colors. Now TWRP will tell you if your internal storage is encrypted.
4-06-16: Added dark TWRP. Bug: when installing a rom the progress bar doesn't show anything. Don't worry, it still works.
4-09-16: Progress bar partially working in the Black & Blue version
5-06-16: TWRP for EMUI 4.1. Multilanguage. You can now mount through TWRP and copy files from your computer to the phone. Default language set to English. Blue themed.
5-22-16: Added themed TWRP Black & Blue to the OP. Based off of the latest twrp.
**On first screen tap the right most button, second from the bottom (Settings) then tap on the globe icon at the top right and choose your language. Then it will stay in that language**
** When formatting data in TWRP after updating to B321 it will take about ten minutes. Let it finish**

On my Mate 8 in TWRP I cannot mount or backup data no matter what I try. Do you have the same issue? I think we need a better build of TWRP. I'm in the process of making a stock debloated ROM but the TWRP problems are driving me crazy. EDIT: Going to Wipe, Advanced Wipe and Format Data fixed the issue. Now I can install from the internal memory and my data partition is working in TWRP.
oh i thought that had smth to do with the data partition being encrypted. i had the same issue but once ive installed the decrypted boot.img i could properly access the data partition in twrp....weird huh?

Me too, but doing that seems to fix the problem any time TWRP doesn't see my Internal Storage. The brightness bug is an issue although not a major one. It seems that after you let the screen time out then turn it back on the brightness is a lot higher.
ha nice one, didnt notice that since i usually switch off the screen timeout option yeah, all in all its definitely in working condition! no major bugs one cant work out currently. and im sure itll get better in time

Thx for TWRP but can someone explain me how to unlock the bootloader on my mate 8?
use the tool dc unlocker in order to read out the bootloader code for your specific device. ull need to pay 4€ to use that function, everything else is explained in detail on the website and in the tool itself for huawei phones.

Hi guys
I flashed this twrp with fastboot. But it doesn't work, it can't mount anything and the phone now stuck at the Huawei logo. What can i do to solve this issue?

Format data in TWRP...
Ok, i will try it when I'm back at home. But will it work, when the twrp can't mount anything? I tried to wipe dalvik and cache, fix permission nothing worked. Mounting didn't work too. Get only red text that isn't possible. It's my first Huawei device, have it since Saturday and now this problem

i had the same problem initially. u have to flash a decrypted boot image first, then mounting is possible and the bootloop is resolved

Where can i find the decrypted boot image, so many questions starting from scratch with Huawei, is other than samsung.
Edit: ok, read in another thread where to get the decrypted boot image.

I'm working on a custom ROM for the Mate 8 with the Google Apps installed, decrypted boot and rooted. I'm just trying to fix a few bugs. If I can fix them a Simply Google release will be near.

Back up your internal storage to your computer and try this. In TWRP go to wipe, then Advanced Wipe and Format Data. Type in Yes. Tell me if after you do that if TWRP sees the Internal Storage properly. No matter what I did TWRP would not see my internal storage until I did that.

There is not a solution that is confirmed to work on the op5t, multirom was released for the op5 but needs to be ported over to 5t. feel free to work on the port!

I came across this and was asking. Seems like it has a few downloads wasn't sure if someone had used it.

I tried it last night. It works, I was able to dual boot. You must download the custom TWRP by the same guy for the 5t. The custom twrp is outdated so it won't read my ntfs formatted portable hard drive. You must also be decrypted.

Hey, thanks for trying this. Did you flash any roms?

Yes. I flashed Omni as secondary, although I had to remove the assert lines in the updater script. Then it failed to install magisk on secondary, so to make it work I had to swap primary and with secondary, Flash what I needed to Omni as primary, then swap it again. Pain sticking but worked.
I wonder how hard would it be to update the custom twrp with the most recent changes in regular twrp.
Sounds interesting, what was your other room?
Any chance you tried to restore a nandroid backup as second rom?

I was using codename Phoenix as primary. I didn't try backing up or restoring using the customer twrp
Anybody that knows anybody that would be able to use the twrp and multirom source and update the recovery with most recent changes?
