[APP][PRE-ALPHA]Coffee King: A simple Coffee app. I need testers n design suggestions - Design, Prototyping, UI, Graphics

Hey all!
I am new to app development. This is my first app project which I am going to upload to Play store! :victory:
I have created a pretty simple interface. But i think more can be done. I need YOU people to test it out and suggest me some ways to improve it. If you give a suggestion that I will implement/help me to code something, I won't forget to give you all credit!:highfive:
Here is a link to the PRE-ALPHA stage apk: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5ElfeSk-c_KNDU2dFhaOU80akk/edit?usp=sharing
Waiting for replies!
NOTE: not much content is there as its PRE-ALPHA so please don'st suggest content and stuff like that! And resolution appropriate stuff is not yet been included so please bear with the resolution anomalies if any occur.

Wow! Very nice concept! I am both a windows programmer and coffee lover I love the app you made. The background color very nicely portrays coffee. One thing I learned from computer program development is consistency. Maybe recolor your icon and the green icon in the app itself. Maybe using columns and then centering the text and images would give a more professional appeal. One thing to add down the road would be maybe the recipe/making instructions as it does seem very simple.
Your app loading time/splash screen lasts a little longer than I expect for the app but then again it is not bad either. The text you chose reminds me of coffee house text too.
Very nice so far. Let ms know if you have any updates. Post the updates here. I subbed the thread.

So this is what I meant by splash screen/ boot screen. I am currently working on a moc boot screen and background for the application to see what you think of it.
You do not need to accept of course but to show you maybe another approach.
BTW, my Nexus 5 screeen resolution is 1080x1920 going -------> and then

Good call, would love to see that done.
Working on it. I love google currents.I'll be a few days for a rough version and a few more to polish. I'll release after the polish
Any progress on this?
Would love to see this too
Hey guys sorry about that. While currents is possible to invert, it was simply taking too much time and every fix borked something else up. It has to do with how the code was written in terms of how images are drawn- there is an easy way, and there is google currents.

What was the error message? I'm using it, so I know for sure it works.
However I have it running on Xoom Tab. If you are rooted - place the .apk
in your system/app folder check permissions rw-rw-r- reboot.
If checked permission and still install error probable device compatibility issue.

That worked, thanks. Looks good, nice job.
EDIT: Think I found a bug tho, tried to add more news feeds and category list is blacked out. The words show up and space turns orange when pressed then back to black when let go.
Also, page indicator on main screen underneath news feeds is barely visible.

This is WIP - There are some color flaws however very very minor.. The news feed works, as a matter of fact everything on there works. orange is the select highlight color. I don't understand what you meant - post pic.

Oh, are you on a themed ROM or using a black theme? If so
then its your device theme blacking the white for that area. If you look in the pics I posted, that is how it looks on my device it is white. (no theme)
Nah I'm on cm10 with system theme which is stock jb.
Might just be a cm bug or something.
EDIT: Think I figured it out. The category list shows just like yours in landscape but the problem occurs in portrait.

[THEME/UI][TUTORIAL][VIDEO ADDED!] DropUI | A minimal UI (updated: 15th Sept)

*Click image for high res. version.
It has been a while since I made a real homescreen, I had been using Windows Phone for a while before I got my Galaxy S3. You guys have no idea how suffocating those tiles were (But I still love the MetroUI).
So, I call this setup DropUI cause of the raindrops in it. I have this strange fascination about them, they calm me down. You might notice the edges have black spots, they're there so that the screen looks rounded too. Inside the screen is another layer (or I call it a base). The base has the nav, the dock and the folders. I had to include the dock inside the wallpaper and then use blank icons on my launcher cause 7x10 grid was a pain to work with.
I had seen many setups before I created this, the best and the most unique ones used SweeterHome which is a beta launcher and is clunky. I believe in functionality over looks so I chose one of the best launchers out there, Apex Launcher. (You can use GoLauncher too but Apex has some nice gesture controls.) I made most of it, I had to mash up two icon sets and add in some effects to them. (resources are listed below). Unlike most of the complex setups which make it really hard to change wallpapers, each of my homescreen changes its wallpaper automatically. I had to make couple of wallpaper variations but same wallpapers get boring after a while. The folders are made up of Simi Folder widget and the text is made up of Minimalistic Text.

[Request]Specific wallpaper to be made

Hello fellow XDA-members.
First of all, i am not sure if this is the right place to put it; please move it, if it isn't .
I am enjoying my Nexus 7, but want to customize my homescreen even more. The problem is, that i am not very good with photoshop, and don't really have the skills to do what i want done.
Therefore, i hope that one of you kind mens can help me with what i am searching for.
Basically, i need 5 images, that shall each be one of my homescreens.
I have a very specific idea in my head, with each homescreen being kind of a room in my own little house.
To explain further, i have tried drawing a paper explaining what i need on the 5 pages, and have also included a picture of my own attempt for one of the pages.
Oh, and if somebody didn't know, the Nexus uses 1280x800, but there's a small bar in the bottom too .
I really hope that i can get some help, it would be greatly appreciated!

My attempt:
It's the danish words in the top of the bar, meaning; Movies, Games, Home, Social and Music
I hope ya'll get the idea and want to contribute .
Thanks in advance

I think the problem you are going to run into is that the wallpaper only scrolls a small amount of when you change home screens. That being said maybe resizeable widgets would be the way to go. I have no experience building widgets but I think they will give you the results you are looking for. If I am wrong someone please correct me. This is a very interesting concept. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

The thing is, that there is a app, socalled "Multipicture live wallpaper" that will do the job . Here you can select 5 difference wallpapers, and they will then fit on each their screen

I had the same problem at first, then i found out how to do. Under the setting, find the "Advanced settings", then go to "Workaround for some home application" and choose "Force 5 screens". That's how i made it work, after it changed two screens between every swipe in the beginning

[App][2.3+] ClearFocus - Final Version before release

Hi,
this is the first app I've ever developed for a mobile platform.
Name: ClearFocus
Description: ClearFocus is app which helps boosting your productivity by following principles from The Pomodoro Technique©
It aims at being extremely simple to use, just tap to start, and feel integrated in the system by following Holo guidelines.
I'm planning to add other features, such as a small to-do manager and white-noise generator to isolate yourself in noisy environments, and other options, such as automatic airplane mode when timer's running.

Testing on a Samsung Galaxy Ace II X(GT-S7560M). Works great.
Actually been using it for something a bit differently then intended.
I'll explain.
I have a habit of getting into something. For example reading forums, games, reading information on how to develope Apps\Websites and I end up chain smoking without thinking about it. But with your app every time I go outside for a smoke I start the timer which I set for 5 minutes.
So like I said not the intended purpose I know. But is working great for me.

Looks good! I was actually looking for something like this yesterday. Settles on the clix icon pack for now but it's not quite perfect.
I for one would prefer them with the shadows so they'll match better! And maybe do the same as LG does with the grey border around icons that aren't in the pack?
Attached a screenshot of my home with Nova and Clix.
yeah theres a lot out there that are OK, but nothing specific for LG. Having come from the galaxy, where they have loads of good galaxy themed packs that what i really want. Im going to publish this as soon as possible
just a minor update. The APK is close to being done. Im just working on all the icons now which is getting tedious. If anyone has any icon requests now would be a good time. Itd be even better if you knew the component info
pushing regular updates with new icons, fixing some of the old icons to be better/cleaner. Check it out if you want!
Just to give you a bit of friendly advice since you appear to be new around here. You are not allowed to post links to paid work on xda nor can we post or make threada with the intention of selling a product. That will cause your thread to be shut down. Now what you can do is remove the link and have this as a communication, support amd feedback thread for said theme and treat it as such. That is within the rules. Users will find things on their own so no need to drop hints on where to find it. Once they found it on their own they can use this to give feedback. Good luck with your project. Looks good

Hello. First of all, huge thanks for the app! It works great on a wide range of hardware and android versions and the icons are very nice. However, I can't figure out how to request an icon. When I select an app, I get the option to send a .zip package. Where should I send it to?
