[Q] adb sideload problem help !!!!!! - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I want to flash patched cm 11 remix ROM with f2fs support. I'm formatted partitions to f2fs and now I tried to push ROM to sdcard through cmd: "adb sideload cm11remix.zip" and I'm getting error: "error: closed". WHAT TO DO??

have you enable the install from sideload option from custom recovery first?

How do you do that?? I'm using TWRP btw. Is it the turn on sideload adb? I tried that but it doesn't seem to work and same error popped up.

I found some workaround in that I pushed the zip files to the recovery first and then using file manager in TWRP, copied it to sdcard and voila. How did you solved it? What did you do?

OK, so I'm trying to flash the CM10 Nightly d2tmo. I have CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4. I moved the google apps.zip and cm-10 zip to the SD, I wiped the cache and data, and then I go to install cm10 from the zip card but then I get this
Code:
Installing update. . .
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "
d2tmo" | | getprop('ro.build.product") == "d2tmo"
E: Error in /sdcard/cm-10-20121019-NIGHTLY-d2tmo.
zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I don't know whats going wrong. I followed instructions just as they were. And I can't go back to my phone because I wiped the data and cache so nothing will come up if I reboot, correct?
Update CWM. Check my signature for a link, assuming you are indeed using a d2tmo.
for me I downloaded Rom manager and flashed my first cm10 nightly from there
They need their money, too, or something
I don't think this phone is the dtmo thing exactly

But I'm in CWM recovery. Do I just go to reboot system? Keep in mined I wiped my data if that matters.
Do you have an external sd card?

No.
I hate to send you to the cm10 forums but you can change the build prop in there
Or
You could reflash something that works in clock work
And then flash cm10 when you have Rom manager

If I can get back to my phone then there's no problem. I think I just need to install the latest version of CWM. I was just scared to hit the reboot system now because I thought that it would make a huge problem.
Boot into your ROM again, download ROM manager, select the T-Mobile Galaxy S3 recovery, let it flash and install from the ROM Mananger app, select reboot into recovery from app the, should boot into recovery, flash CM10, enjoy.
As long as you didn't format system you're fine to reboot system

[Q] (!) Possible Brick ?

Hey guys , here is my problem...
Im passing my GSM Gnex to my brother , so I wiped everything ( *including format data using ) latest TWRP recovery.
Later , when I tried to reboot , it says no OS installed and my device doesnt appear to be rooted + no SuperSU installed.
So , I boot up to my bootloader with USB cable connected to my phone , no driver was installed or what-so-ever.
Can anyone help me ? Searched through the forum but cant find an answer which satisfy me.
Thanks in advance.
*Note : I have a Nandroid Gnex backup ( running 4.4.2 ROM ) on my computer.
Are you able to boot into Recovery?
Or restore the backup or use fastboot to flash Factory image (you seem to have a driver problem)

Just use the Toolkit and flash the latest factory image. or you can use adb sideload option in TWRP and sideload the zip files of a rom or your backup.

After I press power button, I immediately boot up to CMW mode. I think the zip file I flashed is from Freegee zip.

Ok i had this freegee bootloop. To fix it flash twrp and reboot to recovery. Once there reboot to system. Twrp will ask to fix root, say yes. You should boot to system without issues.

You have 2 choices, get a microsd card, or install it via sideload.

Too me it sounds like you wiped more than you should have in fastboot and now you need to reflash some in order to get working recovery. If you got the .img files from an extractor for update.app then reflash them all in propper order.

How am I supposed to get back my default rom to flash??
BTW before any of this happened I only do fast-food erase recovery and flashed another .img. recovery. I didn't erase anything else.
Ok now what was the system that you were using (i need the build number or firmware version) so i can look it up and where did you get the recovery.img file from?

I've downloaded the firmware that you were using and extracted the boot and recovery files from it. Flash them through fastboot and see if it works.

problem booting to TWRP recovery
I think i have the same problem. I installed B513 on my Huawei Ascend P6 and I rooted it. Today i tried to install TWRP Recovery using this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534420) and I thought I did it correctly, but when i try to boot to recovery the ascend logo appear and nothing happens...
Me too after I flashed default stock rom. My phone restart when I try to boot into recovery.
Maybe you should try downgrade to your stock rom. Might work.

And flight, if you have root on your phone then try to download an app called quick reboot (root) from play store and it will give you thr option to restart the phone without the help of a pc.

I already have a application to reboot into recovery, bootloader. The problem is my phone wouldn't accept custom Rom.

As writen before on this forum twrp has two versions and the one that you installed is for jellybean, that is android 4.2 and you said you have B513 which is kitkat - android 4.4 and thats why it doesnt work. So you need to find the proper version of twrp (2.8.1.0 is the current for kitkat) and flash that.

I tried flashing twrp & Cwm (jellybean) for my huawei g6-l11 and it didn't work. I downloaded the proper version but still I cannot enter recovery forcing me to downgrade to stock tomorrow.

Is it ok to modify buildprop file in the system file to change the android version so i can install a firmware update for my phone. Cause my phone is v4.3 but the update is for v4.2
