just go to settings and change it to english some 3rd parties application which the devs implented in that rom are in chinese... just root uninstall it

You need an unlocked bootloader for this, probably. Furthermore you can probably flash it via CWM or TWRP. The kernel is probably inside the zip you're flashing.
I'm not actually using the ROM, but that is how it usually works. Just make sure to always make a backup. You could also look in the original Chinese thread using google translate and get instructions there.
What I did try was the following, to get close to a z2 in xs expiernce.
I haven't actually tried how stable it is, I only know it boots and works on my XS.
Install this KK CM 11 ROM from raymanfx:

I have no idea how well everything works together, but for now it works.

I've noticed if I charge my phone it just wont charge - however, it will charge once it's switched off and turned back on... (tested with Sony's stock charger and a HTC charger)
I flashed the rom with CWM and had 4.1 stock sony before.
EDIT: I fixed the charging problem, this rom is based on SEMC Beta 3, this problem was fixed when you enable USB Debugging as it is disabled when you install this rom (searched the SEMC thread for the solution)

Installation Guide(Step by step)
Download and push XperiaOnex.zip file to root of your SD card
Reboot phone into recovery
Do a backup(Highly Recommended)
Install ROM(Do factory reset or full wipe before install)
If you're S-OFF go to step 10
Reboot into bootloader
Plug phone to PC(Make sure you have installed fastboot drivers!!!)
Push boot.img to place where you have fastboot drivers
In cmd type fastboot flash boot boot.img
S-OFF: Download Hellboy CM10 flashable zip by @MameTozhio and flash it in recovery(http://www.mediafire.com/download/q48qv201cy1vrfo/HELLBOY-CM10.zip)
Reboot to system and enjoy flashed ROM!

Now it's hard to tell ;D. I had 25hrs on normal use(RIL, 3hrs on WiFi,20 SMS). I'll improve battery life in stable version. Now I must add more Xperia resources and fix bugs

Wiped everything, installed on my 6903, but I got stuck on SONY logo forever.
There is too less information at OP to flash this rom.Also, Installation on AROMA is in German.
I reinstalled my phone from scratch wiped everything, and now the installation says that some simlink fails, and installation stop
Maybe on the future I will try again if instalaltion is fixed.

The screenshots sure look impressive, make me wanna try this rom soon. Anyway, another download link from a different host like dev-host beside Mega would be appreciated. And how come this rom so light? I haven't tried all roms but some popular ones are more than a GB and this one is only about 700MB, which is a good thing if it still work perfect though

screen shots looks very nice but tried to install it several times with different settings but every time got error of some symlinks
Style is very cool but have some bugs. Google calendar and play store crashed when I want to start it. And it's to bad there are two apps only in Chinese language.
Can you also make a option in installer to get Sony stock keyboard?

The main different are the xml are uses different models xml and also the script writing,and the headphone effect are not the same.
Thr stereo mode can be enabled in aroma installer itself

remember report any bug if you meet it
This is a great project,great sound but on new update 155 when you flash this you loose walkman
Don't know what happened but after you inject this zip you loose walkman and everything else is working

Purity sound v12k is or not the last Z1C version? In the main thread you can find V.29 but it's generical for all xperia.
Do I understand well? I want try all Z1C audio mod.

Hi OP tnx but i have zero knowleged in porting stuff.Btw i had been using ur mod from the z5 compact on my z1 368 deodex without any single issue.Tnx for ur hard work and i am waiting for u to port the latest z5 premium.Keep up ur gd works.

Yes u can but not all apk can be install as i had some of the apk been install on my z1 .Make a backup first b4 trying to install.

Nop it shows transparent.I should test Xperia Z5 Premium at Market.This firmware has this launcher.I am not sure that sony has placed launcher with white background in all firmware.
I am suggesting to you for Home Launcher this thread(post 13).It is latest Sony Home Launcher.
Xperia Z5 Premium has version 9.A.1.0.11 of Launcher.This launcher from Marsmalow Concept has version 10.2.A.1.0.0.But It has no white background too:crying:

Almost same.They have some updated apps,themes etc.
On youtube I see white backgroun on appdrawer in Z5 Premium. Somebody knows how to make it. I install home launcher, but I always have transparent background. I think must change somethink in xml, but do't know what.

I use to from ibanez7's. I can try port. But in this week I don't have much time to do it.

it's awsome, Im just thinking of jumping to AOSP, and this album/video app + the sony home makes it really good, but camera, I would like to have stock sony camera in AOSP with 120fps slowmo-videos and 4K.
Could you post the original home-release.apk with Sony's signature for flashing? The one on this post was re-signed.

It's not possible to make only installable apk. But somewhere here I see camera port, I think from z4.

Without logcat I can't help you. I use aosp. This rom is base on CM ? RR Rom is on Lollipop or Marshmallow ?
Maby try to clean data of app.
