TomTom 1.3.2 - Desire 816 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I have TomTom installed but will only work on internal phone storage. Supposed to support extsd but no matter how much I try it still won't see the folder on the sdcard
Does anyone know how to get it working?
Thanks for your time

Solved it
The folder structure has to be android\data\com.tomtom.ukireland\files\ then copy the files directory and metadata.xml into the files folder.
This worked for me
Hope it helps others to keep there previous favourites etc when TomTom updates map

its only until stored until the installation is running? Because now my cache folder is emypt!
Yeah somtimes i find the odd .apk in there though, anyway if you want the .apk for an installed app, just grab it from /data/app/

Or use something like estrong app manager to to backup all your apk
Then you gave easy access to them whenever you need them

What can I delete?

Right I have just been looking through the files on my SD card and noticed theres loads me files I have no idea what view are. My question is are all the important system files in the data folder? I'm on MIUI data2ext Rom so obviously its on my SD card. For example I i go into file manager and there is 3gb me stuff in the misc folder. I have no idea what all that is in there but it doesn't seem to be the data stuff.
Thanks
I'm not sure as to your system files as I've never used that rom. But I've read an been told that SD/lazylist folder can get quite big but is safe to delete as needed.

I am sure, nobody understands why you want to delete these files. Tell us.
Because I have 3gb of files that don't seem to be important. All I want to know is what files can't I delete in terms of the system files?

I'd be careful deleting data files directly. 3GB sounds like a hell of a lot, so I'd take a look through the application listing in Settings > Applications and see what's taking up so much space. Doesn't hurt to clean up here and there anyhow if you're careful

Access SD Card Help

Hi guys, the wife has just got one of these beasts.
Am i right in thinking that i need to 'root' the device and install Super Su too, just to gain access to any files that i drag and drop from my computer when the phone is connected via the usb?
If so...is there an easier way of accessing the movies, photos, games etc that i have transferred onto the phone?....surely!
Download a file explorer. ES File Explorer is a good one.

great thanks, downloading that now.
one question though...once its downloaded how do i get into it on the phone as i cant seem to access anything that i have transferred onto the internal 'SD card'
Just download it onto the play store on the phone, then open it and explore the files to find the ones you need.

yes, you don't see them if you aren't the owner of a comp.. if any body else is admin..
you find your sd card in Mass storage under your other storages when you connect ir

[Q] Cyanogenmod Ringtones/Sounds?

Is there a way to get cyanogenmod ringstones, notifications and sounds flashed onto my HTC One M8 using nV ROM and not using cyanogenmod?
Just extract them from a CM zip and place them on your SD card or copy them into your system folder. R/W permissions needed to copy to system folder for the system sounds.

Will do.. thank you!
