Oppo Find 7a - Brick - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

Hi XDA, I have a problem and I hope you can help me.
My Brother just bought an OPPO Find 7a... Installed TWRP, Rooted, instaled Cyanogen... then wanted a camera from Color OS... find one here... then played in the system.. restarted the phone... and bam... phone is DEAD.
Fastboot... works
Restarts only in Recovery... from there tryed to install full firmware roms... full wipe done, every time TWRP says... FAILED.
...installed CWM... No firmwares installes...
What now?

Fastboot flash stock recovery and then latest firmware from oppoforum.

What do you mean fastboot has crashed? Fastboot erase cache and then fastboot flash recovery.img
Have you put the stock recovery.img in platform tools folder?
It doesn't look like you've unzipped the recovery.img

It is not NAMED recovery.img
Follow these steps:
1. Erase all other recoveries from platform tools folder.
2. Download stock recovery zip file from here: http://www.oppoforums.com/threads/stock-recovery-for-find-7-7a.17397/
3. Extract recovery.img from zip file. It is NAMED recovery.img
4. Copy recovery.img to platform tools folder.
5. Open CMD.
6. Fastboot erase cache
7. Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ( if that doesn't work, just fastboot flash recovery.img)
I just did it no problem.
Fastboot will not work unless it is named EXACTLY. I hate to ask this but do you have stock rom in either internal or external storage?

Uha... one step forward... just did the install of stock recovery.:victory:
I have Color OS v 1.2.1.i full and Color OS v2.0... tryed to install... installation failed.
...I don´t get it.

Stock recovery is fully working as in you can navigate, right? So if you have wiped, try powering on. There should be no os. Strange if it cannot flash v1.2.1i.

like mr hofs said if you install a custom rom it's pre-rooted...
First you need to flash a rom. A rom is rooted not the phone. Those are 2 different things.
First do all of this :
Download the rom of your choice and copy it to the phone sdcard. Cwm recovery - mounts & storage - mount usb device then copy it. Open the rom.zip and copy the boot.img file to the fastboot folder on the pc.
Now boot into the bootloader and flash the boot.img with these commands
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Now enter the recovery (CWM 5.8.4.0 minimal) and perform a full wipe
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts & storage - format cache, data, system
Then install zip from sdcard
Choose zip from sdcard
Choose the rom.zip and continue to install
Reboot
Enjoy your rooted custom rom

I am having all kinds of trouble using adb...It just won't work for some reason. My recovery after the s-off is a black screen (?????).

Resolved
I have no idea why that was not working. But I installed the minimal ADB and Fastboot application and that did the trick. I don't know How I botched the install of my adb, but it just wouldn't work...

Phone completely bricked

Hi everyone !
Yesterday, I wanted to wipe cache for some reasons, and I stupidly restarted the phone while formatting cache.
Result :
-A bootloop at the firt restart, then a "Error !"
-Can't acces Recovery mode, "Error !". I tried power button+volum up, don't work.
-ADB don't work anymore, I can't see the phone via adb devices
The only thing I can do is execute fastboot commands in Windows. I successfully made a tethered TWRP recovery, but I seriously don't know what to do from here. I tried flahsing a ROM, but it didn't worked (still have Error !).
I tried install permanent TWRP (unofficial), but I can't acces it. Probably because my bootloader is locked.
So... what should I do ?
Fastboot format cache should do the trick.

After formating cache you should've been able to get into recovery mode, if not, download recovery image from here then:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash fastboot droidboot.img
You can always sideload stock roms from there.

You need to follow the steps in this thread to install drivers and adb package first. Fast boot firmat cache is the command that you should type in on your PC.
Just a thought but instead of trying to install anything through adb why not instal a pre-rooted rom img through fastboot too. You can always wipe out root with the next OTA...
I have already wipe cache and now boots up properly but the problem is that touch screen doesn't seem to work...
Can't connect my Zenfone 2 to my pc even though I have installed drivers and adb...
