Fastboot doesn't "find" Kindle Fire 2 in Fastboot mode (Drivers installed OK)
Hi, I restarted my Kindle Fire 2 in fast boot mode and installed the drivers on Windows successfully under the Device Manager however when I run "fastboot devices" nothing is displayed, what could be the problem?
Thanks

its because the vendor id is non standard, try
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1949 devices
as long as it has the "-i 0x1949" preceding the next bits it should work.

You aren't in fastboot mode therfore you must type adb reboot bootloader. And from there you can use fastboot

So i been trying to install a recovery, for the last 2 - 3 days, as i don't want to use b634, i have battery issues, and there is no dictionary on the keyboard, and i want to use paranoid or omni maybe. But everytime, i use the huawei toolkit, or adb, it just boots to fastboot, and then after a little time it a message, comes up saying "couldn't find phone" and adb says "waiting for device"

You need to use adb commands to get your phone in fastboot. After that you need to use fastboot commands. Here are some clear isntructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2636231

Stuck in fastboot menu

I tried to follow the instructions throu the lg's website in order to unlock the bootloader of my phone (i installed adb and all) but my phone seems to be stuck in the fastboot menu. I never rooted it, i never flashed anything, it was always working (never stuck in bootloop) and now i get this. When i type in cmd "adb reboot bootloader" it works, but when im going to type "fastboot oem device-id" which is the next step, it doesnt do anything and the cmd says <waiting for the device> so i think that my phone gets stuck/freezes. However, if i open its back and remove the battery and place it again its all working (normal boot) like nothing happened. But when i try to do my job throu the fastboost mode i see nothing but only this:

EDIT: solved, i uninstalled the drivers from the pc and i let windows update install them for me.
Boot to twrp and flash a rom from sd or fix with lgup or flash tool in dl mode as stated you have the lg logo so u should still have those modes as you only deleted OS.

A2 lite stuck on boot screen

Hi,
My wife's phone, A2 lite, reboot this night. It is an untouched phone, just official OTA updates.
May be an OTA was applied during the night, i dont know.
Nevertheless the phone is stuck on the white boot screen "androidone".
I connected the phone to my computer in fastboot mode and applied the following commands succesfully :
fastboot devices
fastboot set_active other
fastboot reboot
But the phone is still stuck on the boot screen....
Moreover even if i go back to fastboot and use fastboot getvar current-slot
i can see it is always on slot a, eventhough it was moved on slot b with fastboot set_active other.
What could i do ?
Thank you
anybody ?
same problem. Active slot is A even if i change it to b slot, after restart the phone A slot active again...
no changing slots screenshot with A slot

How u can see on second ss i switched slots and slot-success changed(to NO) aswell.i did only fastboot set_active other command, nothing else. idk how important it is. just a fact.
i assume its a new bug and noone has solution for this

...but you did download the file already?
https://twrp.me/motorola/motorolamotog7.html
...and did point correctly to the image-file's location?
fastboot boot path/to/twrp.img
I changed the file name and now it says it worked okay, however now when I go the refinery mode it just says no command

Do you mean recovery mode? Cannot recall ever having such error (or my frist coffe hasn't kicked in) but seems recovery wasn't installed after all.
Well, if you just want LOS, do you know this guide as well?
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/river/install
Apologies , I mistyped. When I run fastboot boot loader then select recovery mode I can see the android robot and just no command under it. Can’t do anything need to reboot again to be able to select anything.

Then I'd assume recovery wasn't written to the phone: Did you install the zip after pushing it to the phone? Was there any error shown?
