[Q] Which screen protector - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

I've received my Oppo Find 7 this week and I'm having some bubbles under the pre-installed screen protector caused by dust particles.
Does anyone have some good advice for buying a well build screen protector?
There are so many marks and price differences that I don't know anymore what to take!
Please help me out guys/girls!
Feel free to post your experiences of your screen protector!

Well, on my past phones, I've always used Ghost Armor or Zagg ones because the eBay cheap plastic ones are just ok. This time, I decided to use the tempered glass screen protector route and I know most people don't like them but it's my favourite now. It's like touching the actual screen. Very smooth and not noticeable. I believe 0.3mm thick. Most people who look at it don't even know it's there.
Anyways, just my opinion. I know there are some who really don't like it.

Where did you buy yours?
Is it hard to install and can you still easily remove it afterwards without any damage?
I've heard that a tempered glass uses adhesive to stick on the screen.

I actually bought it on eBay. I bought 2 different ones from 2 different sellers just to see. They fit perfectly and way easier to install than the regular ones. U just align it and lay the protector down and that's it. It will just smooth out with no bubbles. I removed it easily with no residue or anything and used the other one and it's the same thing. Unless I lucked out but I haven't had any adhesive stuck on my screen at all.

The screen protector changes nothing regards to direct sunlight or not. The screen brightness is still not bright enough under sunlight.

Nillkin 9H is the absolute best screen protector I've ever used.
All of the thin plastic ones are garbage as they affect the apparent image quality.
Purchase the Nillkin glass at any cost; it's absolutely worth it.

screen protector that fits

I have gone through 3 of them and they all seem to be a little off from fully covering the screen has anyone found one that cover 100% of the screen ?
Screen protectors need a little gap from the edges, or they'll peel off.
Any reputable brand should be good. Ghost Armor, Zagg... Etc

Before purchasing it, you should ask the seller and you can see the reviews first. Mostly, the customers will tell you whether the screen protector fits their phone. You can have another try, hope you can find the fittest one.
Try out the halo branded protectors on amazon...I did a review of them a while ago and for the price, clarity, and fit you can't go wrong...

What i recommend is that you search for screen protector specyfically for you model... I suggest you buy Niklin Crystal Screen Protecotr - a bit more expensive but fits the screen perfectly and looks great..
Also, a handy tip. While changing the screen protector I recommend you do it in the bathroom after you have taken bath/shower- The steam does not let any dust sit on your screen and makes life much easier !

Are you using a screen protector?

Curious to see how many G3 owners are using a screen protector or planning to use a screen protector.
I stopped using one on my Nexus 4 and was very happy with it. Over 1 year of use without a screen protector and the screen was flawless. However, I've had my Nexus 5 for about 6 months now without a screen protector and my screen now has 2 deep scratches (you can feel them with your finger and see them in just about any lighting).
Because of my experience with the Nexus 5 screen I'm back to considering going the screen protector route again. However, I'm curious to see what others are thinking regarding the issue.
I should also mention that it is important to me that a screen protector works with a case. I already ordered a TPU case which I plan to use with the phone. Do those glass screen protectors typically work with TPU cases?
Yes and the Spigen nano tempered glass is by far my favorite one.

first off glass screen protectors do work with tpu cases. the only thing that can scratch your screen is sand metal won't touch it (see hardness rating) if you really dislike screen protectors try liquid solutions(ex. Crystalusion) or you could try tempered glass it feels as glass and it won't give bubbles if you hate that hope this post was helpful I added some links with product info

No problem, I have always enjoyed tempered glass. I have yet to have a case where it didn't fit. Since the Spigen nano glass is very thin and it has rounded bezels you won't notice it at all. It also fits almost with maybe < .5mm gap on the left and right side. I had an op with my F400 showing the fit with some cases.

The poll should probably have 2 no's - one that says "but using a case" and one that says "and no case".
I personally dislike the look and extra bulk of cases as well as screen protectors.
No worries about hijacking guys. I'm trying to learn what I can about protective options for this phone anyway.
I gave up on screen protectors a while back but I do not want the G3's screen to end up with the same scratches my Nexus 5 did. I've never tried using a tempered glass screen protector but I've heard great things about them.
I think I'll follow your recommendation and order the Spigen Nano protector tomorrow. I love the idea of having a screen protector that is bubble free. The bubbles and raised edges are why I gave up on screen protectors previously. I imagine the tempered glass one will solve those issues.
EDIT: Is this the Spigen protector you were talking about? $30 seems steep. How long does it last?

Just ordered that Spigen Glass.tR Nano tempered glass protector. It's pricy and you only get one so I really hope I don't screw up the installation.
I may change my mind and get a glass protector. They're a lot thinner than they were last time I checked (years ago). The Joto one looks good spec wise. It's the thinnest I've seen at .2mm, assuming they didn't just round it down.

Edit: Actually the i-Blason is just as thin and half the price. It's only 8H compared to 9H with the Joto. Not sure if that difference really will matter. It also doesn't state that it's rounded.

Bumping this now that more people are receiving their phones. I got the Spigen glass protector installed. I like it a lot but I already know that if something happens to it such as the corners lifting or something, I know I'll feel the bare screen again and likely won't go with another screen protector.
I've never used a screen protector on any of my devices but I feel like I need to for this one. I ordered a flexible glass protector by iloome and some other cheap one to practice with.

Yes i do use screen protectors.
I ordered 10 screen protectors from eBay for €6,- (around $8,-)
Screen protectors will not protect your screen from cracks if you drop your phone on your screen.
But they prevent scratches like a boss.
You might find ones that protect your screen from cracks, but they will cost you a lot.
And they will add height and they might disturb the responsiveness from of your touchscreen.
The cheap ones will do just fine, they might take scratches more easily than the ones that cost $10.
But if you got a scratch on your screen protector you want to change it anyway (i am the type of person that gets irritated and annoyed by scratches on my beautiful screen).
So why spend a lot of money on something that you will change every few months anyway? You should not
Never used a screen protector, never had a screen get scratched. No plans to start.
I'll be using one from now. Phone took a fall from a foot off the ground. Landed screen down and shattered :crying: The screen on the G3 seems incredibly fragile. Ordered the Spigen GLAS.tR today hoping it may help prevent this on my replacement.

I use regular screen protectors. I tend to change them every 3 weeks or so.
I've bought some cheap ones from ebay as well as the xtremeguard ones (not the HD one you linked). Also note there's always an 85-90% coupon for xtremeguard products. I've recently purchased "HD" non-glass and "fingerprint resistant" non-glass ones from aliexpress which should arrive soon.
If I were to offer you advice, grab a few different kinds of cheap ones. I've found the 5pack ones I bought for around $4-5 with shipping are not bad at all.
Wow.. Every 3 weeks??
I have a nexus 4 right now and have the spigen ultra crystal for about a year and a half and it's still in pretty good shape.
By the way I made an order with xtremeguard with a 90% coupon. I got both the HD and regular screen protector I hope they are good.

With my old phones I never believed in using cases or screen protectors. With my Oneplus I'm a little more careful I suppose.
I change them so often because I have a whole bunch, some of which I haven't tried yet (regular, tempered, HD, anti-fingerprint, etc) and the slightest blemish or anything drives me nuts.
I am also thinking about buying one...deciding between RhinoShiled and Orzly, both seem perfectly fine.

For me they like the actual screen which is good. I got tired of that rubbery feeling and plus bubbles and peeling. I find the glass to be easier application. Zero bubbles. Try one, if you don't like, go back to the other. No biggie
I have used both the xtremeguard screen protectors on my previous phones and now on my One I got their Spartan Shield tempered glass. Overall, I like the glass protector. It's a little thicker at .40mm, but I don't have any issues with touch sensitivity. Also, it fits the unit very well. I had another tg protector I purchased off eBay, and while it was slightly thinner at .3mm, it didn't fit the screen as well.
Here's the one caveat with purchasing from xtremeguard, it takes a long time to get their products. I live in the next state over from where they ship and it took over a week for me to get it. Also, their packaging is rather minimalistic and the first protector arrived cracked. Same thing happened to a friend with his tg protector. Apparently, they don't have any expedited shipping options.
Never had any issues with their regular screen protectors. Can beat them for the price.
Hope this helps.

I applied my Orzly tempered glass screen protector in a steamed up bathroom to prevent dust.... Applied pretty easy. Had to do one quick lift to readjust but am real happy with the look and feel. No dust or bubbles. Doesn't seem to bother touch responsiveness either.... I would certainly recommend. Be carful with the install.... You only get one in the package.

I prefer Skinomi screen protectors. They are very good, and have a lifetime replacement warranty.
Skinomi!
So I've used the Orzly, Nilkin, and Rhino Shield protectors. The Rhino shield was an oil magnet and started to bubble/ peel ever so slightly after a while. The Nilkin wasn't nearly as smooth as the Orzly and scratched much easier. So i'd recommend going with the orzly.
So I've this one: https://oneplus.net/oneplus-premium-screen-protector in the Anti-Fingerprint version. That Anti-Fingerprint is not completely true, I can see fingerprints and other oily stuff on it. Also, that version tends to reflect much.
And I somehow got a scratch into it.
Is there someone out there who also has a screen protector, from a 3rd party? Can someone recommend one? I don't really want tempered glass.

Hi,
Try this from Orzly: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KQKATH8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is a tempered glass one and it works great with cases. It doesn't say that it is oleophobic, but it cleans easier than the actual screen.
I will suggest mocolo glass. This is good for glass protector. http://glass4m.com/product/mocolo-premium-tempered-glass-screen-protector-for-oneplus-one/
The thread starter is asking for "regular" screen protectors, not (tempered) glass ( = like I did) ...

Which Edge to Edge Film Screen protector to pre-order?

I am planning on using a case with the Note 7 when I get it, but all this speculations that Tempered Glass protectors aren't case friendly makes me think. I don't know which Film Screen protector to go with the Note 7 since I am not familiar with edge to edge protection for this curved screen device. I saw these, but don't know how good they are.

It appears that is not an edge to edge or curved type. Which explains a lot. I'm searching for something curved.
I've always preferred glass in combination with a case but I've heard from people with the S7 Edge that it is tricky with the curved screen. Hoping it won't be as bad for the Note 7 as it's not as curved.
Anybody got any experience with S7 Edge in combination with a glass protector and case and maybe suggestions?

I've never scratched a screen that had a pet film protector on it. The only thing I care about are the scratches. Most of the time when you drop your phone it lands on one of the corners so it doesn't matter if you have a glass protector on or not. I hate the extra thickness of the glass ones and I hate that they crack way too easily. I'd rather spend $1.50 on protectors than $5 or $10 for each one and then have them crack a week or two later.

wow, I wish i would've found this before I ordered mine. Unfortunately, it's sold out.... :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
I bought the Nillkin Amazing XD CP+ Max tempered glass screen protector for Huawei Mate 20 X
and the fitment was quite bad. Link to my post about my thoughts on it
Is there anywhere else I can buy this screen protector? this seems like the best full coverage screen protector yet.

This seems to be the same... you have to buy it and see if it's full coverage or not... ask the seller first. Cheers
