[Q] questions about custom roms. - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello eveyone
We know that there are 2 versions of the g3, one with 3gb of ram and one with 2, the question is, will they have the same roms? What I mean is, is it possible to flash one's rom on the other as they have the same internals with different storages? I bought the 4g model of the note 3 just for roms, and the 3gb of ram model is not available in my country and probably won't be.
Any help appreciated.

I'm only guessing but I'm not sure that will matter the kernel should still be the same

[Q] Galaxy S4 Mini help .. need some answers to a few questions

Hi all new on the S4 side I am a i9000 themer so have just popped in this forum to ask a few things...
My daughter just got an S4 Mini GT-I9195 LTE so Im sorry if this is the wrong section first of all
and hope the mod can move it to the correct place if need be...
Questions I would like to ask if anyone can help are...
1. Link to Unlock to any network or name of app
2. Is there a GB Rom for this or is JB the best for this type of phone
(Please dont say the Rom depends on what you use it for as I know all this, just asking if GB Roms are out there and what others are using)
3. Any hints or tweaks that you know of that will be useful
4. It says Micro SD supported can take to 64GB is this true or better with a 32GB Card
5. Is LTE the better of the S4 mini's?
Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction
I'll answer what I know
2. No GB available. Initial release shipped with JB
3. Installing CyanogenMod will help with battery life and performance. (almost 1k more score on AnTuTu vs. TouchWiz stock rom)
4. Yes 64gb cards are supported but make sure you get compatible ones. There are a couple of threads here which mention issues with certain sd card brands.
5. Here's a quick comparison:
GT-I9190 (3G international version, no NFC)
GT-I9192 (3G international, dual-sim standby, no NFC)
GT-I9195 (LTE international, NFC capable)
Feature-wise, the LTE variant is the better of the S4 mini's. Processor and other hardware are similar (other than the radio to support LTE or dual-sim)
Thanks for replying , is it possible to get 4.3 on the device?
Is JB better than CM?.. I myself prefer GB but as you say its not available.. just would like to know which runs smoother and better
CM is based on JB 4.2.2

Roms Question

I have searched but I can't find the answer I was looking for and I even checked frequently asked questions for ASGNII. My question would be can the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II run roms from the International Note II since they both have the same processor with out any major modifying like to the kernel?

This is the thread for the instructions on how to make a N7100 ROM work with the i317 so yes, there are a quite bit of tweaks you would need to go into and even after that, it's no guarantee.
There are a few N7100 threads that have their ROMs converted for i317 and N7105.
Not as easy as it used to be (eg HTC Inspire using DesireHD roms).

Buying LG G3 D855 2GB , Good Choice ?

Hey everyone , i know its a bit too late to buy a "Flagship" Device especially after 2 years but since my budget constraints it sooooo.... anyway my question is that i wasnt able to find 32Gig with 3GB ram so buying 2GB variant is a good idea ? i have seen lags on Nexus 5x and a reason why i didnt consider it , since G3 is an all rounder so i thought of buying it , Do you suggest me to buy it ? would it offer a satisfactory performance ? (i am not a fan of snapdragon 810/820) , i have been using Galaxy Note 3 (SD 800) and was never disappointed with it

Dont have 16 gb but 32gb with 3gb ram good choice but the orginal d855 not the refurbished one...also i think MM is the last official update for lg g3....but you can update non stock rom if you scrifice little bit camera quality....think so
I have had the 16GB D855 model for over a year now and handles everything I throw at it. Granted I cant comment on the stock firmware as I have been using Fulmis ROM, which in my opinion is the best stock based ROM on LG G3. Especially with all the tweaks, mods and the new UX 5.0 user interface included in the ROM.

SM-N7502 Not even getting KITKAT, How can I get it myself?

Hello,
My friend owns a Samsung Note 3 Neo (N-7502) and he wants to update it because it never got any updates from Samsung from the day he got it (Still running 4.3 and other versions at 5.1.1 already....)
I know there's more than a topic of discussions about this, but there's no answers so I thought the people who could help didn't notice this...
It could be CyanogenMod or anything else, just something newer, better.
He could sacrifice the usage of the 2nd sim card for now if that's the only way.
Please if you know a way, help.
Thanks
My girlfriend owns one too. I've searched in a lot of places, but people said that installing something of the single SIM variants on a dual SIM one won't work. If someone knows how to make it work, please tell us.
*Bump*
I've searched a lot for a solution but I couldn't find any.
Would installing a different model's (N7505) rom work?
Would it even boot up?
It is a totally different phone
Duos variant is qualcomm based while other variants are exynos so no ROM other than stock will work for it for now
There is some hopeful trials to build cm12.1 ROM by Firelord but till the moment we are speaking there is nothing
Hope for the best
Best Regards

I had higher hopes.. According to PhoneArena the 750 variant is the one with Qualcomm and the duos (7502) is similar to 7505 processor wise.
Is that wrong?

See that page :
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_3_neo_duos-6015.php
Also i got build.prop which confirms this
Also all kernel sources from Samsung
Knowing that the device is qualcomm based gives me hope that it may get CM ROM
Anyway, We need some attention from more developers
Best Regards

I'm not sure developers will bother.. But I hope they will.
I don't understand the reason for this... Qualcomm is the most popular processor manufacturer of CPUs so it'd be easier to create a ROM or edit an existing one to work on this phone... I don't understand why the exynos ones are getting more attention.

According to https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ MSM8228 board is used by Samsung G800H (Galaxy S5 mini) and N7502. Also google shows HTC Desire 816 Dual Sim based on the same board and looks like that's all. But these other devices already have custom roms.
Please build a ROM for sm n7502 dual sim variant

coming from Oneplus 3

Hi guys. I am planning to sell my oneplus 3 after almost 2 years. I wish to get the mi mix 2 but I am confused. Are there more versions of them? Not size wise, but models. I noticed that some ROMs here are for the [CHIRON]. which one is that? Is it just the codename for it, or is it an specific model? I will be getting the 6gb version with 64gb storage. Any opinions on the device are welcomed. Thanks!

Chiron is the code name for all variants of the mi mix 2.
The only diferent versions are the full ceramic body, which has 8Gb of ram or the regular version, which has 6Gb of ram, other than storage variations
