2, 3 or sometimes even 4 seconds is normal for all Samsung devices. This includes Phone, Contacts, Messages and Camera. These r the main apps having this lag.

OK thanks a lot man, I'm using the aosb so I don't know if it's really an issue that's Y was asking the pros for the advice.
Also I did notice that the lag stopped on formatting and started a little later
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using XDA Free mobile app

This will continue and even grow after a year or so. S1 in fact was ****ty but s2 was powerful and yet it had the same lag in above mentioned built in apps. So it's normal in touchwiz. There r so many other greats features in touchwiz that this minor lag (which once was a BIG issue for me) is no more an issue for me.

Is it note3 specific? No issues on s3
Crashes a lot less on note3 but still does funky stuff other than crash. Note2 was problematic. Lots of crashes.

I'm getting them too.
when i click a post it chooses one above and in order to click correct i have to click on the line at the very bottom of the post or it freezes and crashes
The XDA app always sucked (especially notifications), so I switched to Tapatalk after it went free. The only thing I don't much like about Tapatalk VS XDA is that you can't "mark all as read" for certain sections suchs all the "Participated (Unread)" threads; have to either ignore or read each one one-by-one
XDA Premium is really bad. Hard to fathom how they put that out. I use Tapatalk Pro/paid whatever and it is pretty reliable. I had to start over the app every time I switch screens on XDA. It used to work okay.
Is not only on note 3, I have nexus 10, I have a same problem all time crashes...... Ironic.... Xda crashes and no body fix it

lol same here, soo annoying. I hate to ditch the xda app but thinking about using the Tapatalk app, I also really really hate the new layout/ui of the xda app. I have an older backup of the premium app (think it's like 2.2.1 or some shizz) and have always found my way around on that version. 4.doh! and above is confusing and a headache!
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda premium
I guess I'm in the minority, as I use the latest XDA Premium app daily without problems, and have for over a year. The only issue I have is that sometimes when I switch to another app and then back to XDA, it relaunches the app rather than going back to whatever page I was on, and even that doesn't happen very often...
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Xda has been crashing ever since I've joined xda honestly they never get it right. It's a sight by developers For Developers Yet They Can't Get It Right lol
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Does it just crash randomly, or is there a specifix action that causes it to crash for you guys? I'm real curious about this now, because as I've said, I've used it on 3 different phones and dozens of ROMs and I don't think I've had it crash on me even once.

Xda premium the most buggy app on my phone

Does anyone else have this problem? It only loads half the time I've been through multiple reinstalls on multiple different roms and it's still super unreliable.... I think it's ironic that the xda premium app is so buggy

Haha this is funny because I had to log on the computer to reply because my app won't load right now. It seems to work a little better when I'm not connected to a wifi network, though not by much (bad network connection isn't the cause).
Mine stalls and won't load half of the time too. I usually just hit the back button, then re-open the app and it loads on the second try. Slightly annoying but still faster than using the browser.

I notified the mods several times last week. Everytime I turned xda on it would say connecting to servers for 15 minutes.

The tapatalk app is the same way when trying to load xda

+1 this. Idk what the deal is. Half the time it won't even load period if I am connected to any WIFI source. I get a connection fail. Even when I use the data network it hangs half the time. When I do finally get it to where I can actually reply to something the message only posts 1/3 of the time. Otherwise I get a "you do not have permission..." blah blah blah. I don't even receive notifications anymore. The only way I know if someone responds to anything is when I get an email notification in Gmail. Idk what happened to this app. It used to be awesome.
I use wi-fi 90% of the time and don't have trouble loading any other app.

I noticed the same thing on tapatalk at times when accessing the xda site. From what I can tell it mostly has to be on xda end as I have no problem accessing other forums that I am a part of.

It's across the board. My kindle fire, rezound and gtablet all have the same issues with xda app. I have gotten so used to loading and reloading I barely notice it now. Minor annoyances!
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Same
I'm experiencing the same. Doesn't load on first try, slow on second, a little better on wifi. The irony...
It's crazy that one of the top downloaded paid apps is this unstable... It's like bitstrips when it first came out but worse.... Because I paid for it

saw 2 files you removed that I'm just giving an experienced warning on for others...if you remove the voicemail, you will not receive any notifications if you get voice messages, again I know from experience
not gonna double quote the other pic I saw but the google text to speech file, another 1 that if you ever use your phone on the road for gps, you will not get turn by turn voice directions...yes I've done this and experienced the loss of turn by turn voice
other than that, nice listings and compilation for users

Thank you for the for letting them know that , voicemail for me if I miss a call I just hit and hold 1 and takes you to the old style voicemail
And I dont use voice stuff at all for my phone kinda pointless to me when you have google on mobile web...lol...
Tell you what man deleting all this is amazing how much battery I have gained and how much smoother the phone and performance is
If you and any of you have anymore pointers for the apps being deleted please feel free to share
This list is the list I personally deleted because I never have or never will I use
hey man no problem, I'm like you, I rip all that crap out!! lol even the custom roms, but sometimes when I miss calls at work, I don't bother just dialing the voicemail and next thing you know, I get the message over a week late lol gotta love the space it all frees up too and speeding up the phone and saving battery life for sure
again good posting up of the pics for people to actually see and follow along

I was wondering the same thing myself. I know that its a system app... been on the phone since I got it on release day.
As an aside this same app came up in my wifes HTC One update list today also.
Dont know if its just me but the touch screen does seem smoother
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Its for testing touch screen, you don't have to update it,
Anyone tried to uninstall it? or even freeze it in titanium? Im kinda afraid to try it myself... worried the screen wont work after.

Note 3 port working for NE2?

Does anyone know of this? I would really like to have something like that. I like the look and feel of the note 3 better just don't have the cash in hand to throw down on one. I'm running the stock NE2 firmware that I flashed and rooted via odin. Thanks in advance

Only two I know of. First is my community rom. It is mostly an N3 rom with a bunch of S5 apps. Only issue is the spen clipping (hold spen key and outline something) and uses the N3 settings menu. The other is my port of the verizon S5-feat. It has more S5 features such as ultimate power saver, toolbox, working spen clipping, and S5 settings menu.

Good deal thanks I have been rooting and flashing Roms for a long while now but never looked into development side. My first Android device was a HTC hero and I rooted it straight out of the box. Haven't second thought about owning androids since.
