alternative pinch to zoom with keyboard or touchpad? - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Accessories

Hi,
I've the Note 10.1 2014 P-605, I'd like to know if there's a keyboard or touchpad that work as "pinch to zoom" in the apps. I've tryed to connect on the tablet a mouse but I've see that the middle mouse button don't work as pinch to zoom.
I explain better because I ask this...I'd like to use the tablet for photo editing with Photoshop Touch and Photo Suite app and when I've to make some precise correction on a picture, at the moment I've to make the pinch to zoom directly on the tablet with fingers, so I'd like to know if there's a keyboard or touchpad that I can make the pinch zoom directly with it without 2 fingers on display.
Greetings
Sergio

Advanced touchpad from the playstore was my favorite after using quite a few. You need to buy pro via paypal though. Theres many other free apps in the market. Not sure if pinch works outside the browser however

ok, so aren't there other keyboards or touchpads devices (except apps) that support pinch to zoom?

I have this keyboard and it supports pinch and zoom on the touchpad. Is that what you're looking for?

Does your touchpad work? I got one of these last week and the touchpad is sporadic at best in the sensing of a finger dragging on the surface. My 10.1 arrives today so I'm going to test with that (had been testing with my N7 (2012) and GS3, which are both running CM 11)

Yes it works fine. But I don't often use that keyboard as I don't like the case.

yes TabGuy, I'm looking a keyboard just like that. So, do you confirm that pinch to zoom with that keyboard work with all apps that support pinch to zoom? Can I ask you to make a test with an app and your keyboard if isn't for you a problem? Can you try to download "PhotoSuite 2" (free version) by Mobile Systems from Google Play Store and you import any pictures on it and with keyboard touchpad try to make a pinch zoom for to see if it work?

Top right of the screen these should be a +/- button. Click that and a wheel will appear on the left hand side of the screen move it up and down to zoom in and out.
I think you wanted to know where the zoom function is whilst actually recording? The answer unfortunately is this is not possible
very few digital cameras include a zoom function while recording video

Yeah sorry. I thought he meant camera. Zoom on video is not possible. Probably because when you use digital zoom it decreases the resolution.
...
thanks for the replies
i wish you could zoom in and out when video recording like my older nokia phone (which is like 4 years old!!!)
i wonder why this was left out....either way, at least i know to stop "trying" to look for a zoom option whilst in the middle of video recording
You shouldn't use digital zoom, it just decreases the resolution instead of actually zooming in.

Front camera in wrong orientation!

I'm sure you guys have notice that the front camera is installed 90 degrees perpendicular to the screen orientation, causing ridiculous distortion in qik. Any one know of a way to either rotate the aspect so that it fills the screen without stretching, or of the camera maybe has a square sensor that could just be cropped in the proper alignment?

the problem is not the camera !! is qik
i download this app''mirror for sprint phones'' free in the market and it looks nice
i think qik is not compatible with the epic front camera
Its totally the camera. It renders (in landscape) a 480x640 image, which qik stretches to 640x480. Take a pic and resize it in photoshop, it looks exactly like it does in qik. That's why fring doesn't look horrible: it doesn't fit the image to the screen, and why qil looks good on the evo: the image is already 640x480 (well, bigger, but same aspect) and doesn't need to be stretched.

Look an app called MagicMirror. I personally worked with the dev on this to fix the Epic 4G front camera.
I see this thread is rather old, but I'm going to throw my 2 cents in anyway.
I tried the mirror programs listed here. Both of them produce an upright portrait image. Great. But what does that do to help video chat? Nothing that I can tell.
The front camera turns out a rotated image with Yahoo chat as well. (on a side note, Skype app doesn't even suppport video chat).
So I have to ask, what is the use of the epics Front camera? It doesn't appear to be supported by any useful applications. Furthermore- it seems to have been this way for 5 months now, and STILL no support?

i have never used video chat in 2.1. can anyone confirm it's this way in Eclair as well or is it just with the DK28 leak?
On ANY ffc client I tried, the cam is always sideways. Lame
/And that's my 0.2 florin... Another message exported from Epic4g via Tapatalk Pro
i rooted to 2.2 yesterday and tried the yahoo messenger video chat app and also noticed the rotation. does anyone know if the front facing camera is really screwed up or if it's just the software?

I have the same problem. Try holding the phone so the camera aims down at you. It then rotates to the correct position. It would be nice if it knew a little more about which way is up!

360 camera stitch?

Are there any free apps on the marker that let you take a 360 degree multi directional picture and stitches them together? (Like Microsoft photosynth)

Gotcha. Does 360 get you closer? Been a while since I've used it.
Sadly that only supports horizontal capturing/stitching

Anyone know how to use a screen recorder?

I have tried using ADV to record my sweet Slither.io skills, but it just forces closes whenever you try to start the recording. Anyone gotten screen recording to work on their note 7?

Go into your apps and click on the "play games" icon (the green one) and you can record from there. Click on a game you have installed and a little red cicrle pops-up.

Thanks for the reply! I actually ended up finding one that worked before I read this. I got AZ Screen Recorder. It works really well and even has its own built in editor. It is also really customizable from Resolution to frame rate and it will record from your camera at the same time just like twitch! I don't know why the others I downloaded didn't work. Nice to know Play Games has its own recorder built in though. Thanks again.

LG G6 - DashCam App which uses the wide angle cam *found* !

Hello!
I use my phone as a dash cam.
Works pretty good, but all dash cam apps I tried are using the "normal" camera and not the wide angle cam.
But the wide angle cam would be perfect.
How can I switch between the two cameras or does anyone know a dash cam app which uses the wide angle?
Rgds, Martin
EDIT:

Solution found, it should also work with
V20, G5
Install DailyRoads Voyager Pro from PlayStore
After install go to authors homepage
On the right hand side, download APK "Pro version with wide-angle" and install it as update over the Version from PlayStore.
It works for me on the LG G6 (H870)
EDIT2:
I am not the author of this app and I am not related to the author!
I don't think the wide angle is exposed in the camera 2 API. It's unlikely that you will find a third party app that will ever support it.

Whatsapp uses both lenses, so why dashcam app couldn't do iit ?
Good question, looking for the same!
I have asked the developer of the dashcam app I am using.
If I get feedback I will let you know.

by pressing the camera symbol in the right hand corner (as soon as you have activated the camera in WhatsApp)
It switches the camera, "back wide / back normal / front "

Does this need a sim card or internet to work? Curious because I want to run my old g4 with this but obviously its not connected to a mobile network.

You can run this app without any internet/network connections.
There is the possibility to upload videos, but no need.
I have blocked all network connections to this app via firewall.

Fantastic! Thank you
For those coming from Google: Autoguard is another app that uses the wide-angle camera by default.
Useful thread, never thought about using mobile as dash cam.

Works pretty good. The dash cam app starts as soon as bluetooth is connected to car radio.
So you don't have to think about starting that app.
Playing music over bluetooth and using navigation app at the same time works without problems.

On LG-Developers website, there are libraries to use the second back-camera.
I'm using them in my app, they all work.
Is there an app that films 4:3 in full Resolution with the wide angle camera?
