notifications n reminders ring, but on screen notification tells me what it is

when i click on the bell, it shows 2 reminders , option to either dismiss all or close. theres no snooze or anyway to see what the 2 reminders are. anyone else expieriencing this?
Have you tried tapping the area where it says you have 2 reminders? That should take you to the app that's trying to give you the reminders (most likely it's a calendar appointment that you set)..
i did, n nothing happens. on my old touch pro it popped up when i hit the notifications button. i had a dropped call earlier so i have a ! n when i click dismiss all, its still there. i dont understand it.
btw, i have sprint w the touch pro 2
To get rid of missed call "!" icon just hit the green send to bring up list. If I hit the top bar when I have a reminder it then pops up with what it is an dismiss or snooze option. Sounds to simple so maybe I misunderstand you.

Facebook notifications in notification bar won't clear

Is anyone else having this problem?
You get a facebook notification in the notification bar pull it down and tap on it. It opens up your facebook app and takes you to the notification. you tap on whatever that notification is (status update, message, etc) and read it.
A few minutes later you have another facebook notification in your notification bar, you repeat the above procedure and find the exact same message, or status update you just got notified about a few minutes ago.
I get facebook notifications just fine..... I just keep getting the same ones over and over and they never clear.
Not sure how to fix that.
I like getting the notifications but it's getting irritating seeing the same old stuff over and over.
It's the Facebook app that's broken. It has always been.
Mine does the same thing....repeatedly getting the facebook message in the notification bar. Finally had to go into facebook and uncheck that option to prevent constant popups..very annoying.

SMS on Lockscreen

I want a way to stop my SMS from appearing on my lockscreen, I tried to find a way to turn it off. I am a privacy freak and i don't want my messages appearing while my phone is locked...can anybody help me?
You can have it hidden it'll just say new message but that includes for notification bar as well its in the settings of the messaging app
Yeah I don't understand the sms notification. I wish you could just disable the lock screen notification. It doesn't function the way I wish it did. It also makes all other sms widgets on the lock screen pointless.

[Q] notification reappear until the message is read

Hi All,
I've an S4 mini with stock rom 4.2.2 without any special app to manage notification
Since the first day of usage I'm very disappointed on how the phone manage the notification
Example, If I receive an useless msg from whatsapp I want to delete the notification permanently without read the messagge
So I swipe down the get the notification panel and I press delete button or I swipe right the whatsapp notification
The notification disappear but few hours later the notification is still present
I don't like this friendly unsless reminder!
It's me, the phone or android wrong?
Thanks you a lot

its from the app not the phone mate ... if you have Facebook messenger you will see if you dismiss the message it wont reappear
that's a pain, the notification behaviour it's managed by the app not by the os!
that's mean that I haven't control how how the notification are manged
There is any app to give more control to the user? anyway to fix without root?
Thanks you?

the way whatsapp sees its a future actually ...for example you turn off your phone and restart it you see the message once the phone is up that you have might forgot it was there

Software Questions

Hoping people can answer as this phone comes out in the coming weeks.
I remember the M9 not having a few common Android features and am wondering if the 10 has these:
- Lockscreen: when a text message is received, are you able to swipe up on it to reply?
- When receiving a text while in an app, can you reply by swiping down? Or in an overlay (instead of having to open the app to reply)
- Does the screen turn on when receiving a notification?
Thanks

I don't allow text messages on the lockscreen, so I can't answer your first two questions. The answer to your third question is "no."
how to fix problem when swipe up notification bar??
When I pull down the notification bar it seems working properly (two-face procedure) but when I swipe up to make it disappear, it comes down again. More specifically, the first time I swipe up it goes up to the point it should be, but on the second scroll it appears again, like when I pull it down. So, I am able to see again the entire panel. To remove it I have to do the whole process very slowly and it is really annoying.
