Welcome
A working Active Clipper is needed (unless we get 4.3 early)
As far as I know one can find this in Google Play Store.
N.
Not sent from my xPERIA M.
Xperia M already have Active Clipper, it's bundled with the firmware...
Yes, you can find "other" apps from playstore.. I just shared some apps which were not in the playstore.. and there are better one too in the playstore, I admit.

Forwarded Call Notification

* Latest version thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-forwarded-call-notification-v4-0-t3740502
Hi everyone,
Please..need Testers for my app: "Forwarded Call Notification"
This application will display a **continuous** notification message when you receive a diverted (forwarded) call that you could never miss, so No more unpleasant surprises on your private line caused by missing the snappy default forwarded call notification..
Download on Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=joe.forward
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The app needs permission to Read_Log and starting from android 4.1 this permission doesn't automatically granted so for ANDROID 4.1+ ROOT NEEDED or DOWNLOAD Tools.rar to your computer and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS in Help.txt to grant this permission to the app:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ysy9khix9aha7y9/Tools.rar
The app works fine on many Samsung devices, test may be especially needed for other brands..
Thanks....
If the phone is rooted do we still have to take tools.rar ?

Thanks for your reply,
No if the device is rooted you don't have to use tools.rar (on computer)
the app needs permission to Read_Log and android 4.1+ doesn't automatically grant this permission to the app, unless the device is rooted or user use the file tools.rar as it contains SDK tool to grant the permission to the app

Yes,please..
The testing procedure is pretty simple:
1- Just install the app
2- Set up a forwarded call from other line to your device
3- Call that number
4- A **continuous** notification "Forwarded Call !!!" should appear on your device upon receiving that forwarded call
4-1-If not, try using Tools and following the steps described in help.txt
5- If the problem persist (no continuous message a appear) report it to me
Thanks..
The app is not working I didn't even get a call

As I mentioned in the app's description the only function of the app is to display a continuous message upon receiving a forwarded call, but setting up that forwarded call and receiving it, is a device/network operation and it's independent from the app's functionality.. ie: if you setup another line to forward its call to your number correctly you should receive it when someone call that number even if the app is not running at all..
I got that but its not working .
I enabled call forwarding and the only notification shown was by my phone like this
If that's u r app then OK.

I'm sorry, let me make my self clear..
Assuming u have two devices A and B, install the app on B, then forward all calls from A to B , when someone (C) calls A then upon receiving that call on B the message will appear on the screen to notify you about that forwarded call
thank you for your patience..
Oh ok I am sorry its my bad

Lg G2 --> not tested, the original rom already provides this function
Sony xpera z1 compact --> WORK!! Without root (4.3) :good:
Alcate Idol 6030d (dual sim) --> works on both sim!! (4.1.x) :good: :good: I can not give read access to the radio log with the command "cmd /k adb shell pm grant joe.forward android.permission.READ_LOGS", the root is necessary.

Thanks for that great effort.. very useful
Thanks!
Thank you! Great app that really works on my Moto G (4.4.2)
Some notes:
a) Is it possible to add an ability to set custom screen message?
b) Is it possible to mark diverted calls in call history list?
Use dial *#*#4636#*#*
Thanks! Works great on Note 3 (4.4.2) without root - it's the only free app I know to work on unrooted device.
The only thing I ask you change is to let us remove icon from notification area, it really isn't necessary, and although it's a nice icon, it just takes space.
N.B. for now, to get rid of it, I turn notifications for the app off and then back on, icon is gone till next reboot and app still notifies about forwarded calls.
thanks for your app.
can you please add continuous forwarded call for outgoing call.
we have 3 phones.
we want to install app to A.
we diverted B to C...
when we call to B with A....it will show a Forwarded call for a second in A.
i want it longer...
thanks
I have another request that could seriously enhanced its functionality.
I have another request that could seriously enhanced its functionality.
This (great) app makes more noticeable a forwarded call, when you have the phone in your hands.
IT would be Great to find a way to see if a missed call is forwarded!
A notification message probably or
even a way to mark the forwarded call in the call logs.
Working great.
Xperia Z 4.4.4 stock
Thanks for this

[Q] Answering machine from Kitkat to JB on Zl

Guys,
I just realized that the Z1 with kitkat comes with and answering machine option, wich I think it would be so useful; could somebody confirm if it's possible to port this to current JB xperia ZL, if so, what do we need?
Regards

I don't know how it is the moto g. This answering machine I mention, works like this:
1You record a message
2 Set up how many seconds before answering.
3 You get an incoming call, after the time you established before, the phone automatically answers and replays your message.
4 The caller leaves a message.
5 You get notified about it and can hear the message.
Regards

Would be happy if someone could port this to AOSP Kitkat
This must be a joke. Kitkat for Xperia Zl does not have the answering machine option.
Do you think, this could be ported?

[SS/DS] List of bugs present in 4.3 update

Well, we got Android 4.3 in both Xperia M and Xperia M dual, but we also got some bugs in that update, and I want to build a list of these bugs so I can compile a list of possible fixes soon (some of them already have fixes). I have interest only in problem reproducible by all Xperia M/Xperia M dual owners, so, thing like "my battery now is draining faster", "system is slow after the update", will be ignored. So far, searching other threads in XDA and by personal experience with 4.3, I found the following bugs:
Calculator app was replaced by AOSP one, which is ugly since it doesn't fit with the new UI
Themes engine is broken. You can download themes but you can't install them
Cost Saving Options that were present in the stock SMS app from 4.1.2/4.2.2 firmware are gone in 4.3 update
[Xperia M dual only] Mobile data traffic arrows are misplaced, overlapping with the network signal bars (see attachment)
These aren't bugs, but things that may be enhanced:
Although the new camera app is compatible with Social Camera extensions, we don't have the option to search for more addons
Some menus in the settings app still uses the old black style instead of the new white style
Fixed Conversations.apk || StatusBar Network in/out
I am here with fixed cost savings option in Conversations.apk of Google_Android_4.3 for Xperia™ M Single Sim.
Dual Sim version will be up by tonight.
Dual Sim version uploaded.
Check attachment for download.
Also activated the option to send a blank message if needed.
I have changed the in/out arrow from white to blue so that they are visible in dual sim status-bar.
I don't have the 4.3 firmware flashed so can not test this.
Test and report if it works or not.
Guys please test and report if the mods work or not?
I hope I do not need to post the steps to perform in order to use these.

Put the AOSP calculator (which is entirely black) in the new UI (where almost all menus are white) and you'll get something very ugly. I already deodexed the official Sony calculator from Z1c 4.3 FW, but I have to test it. I'll start working with these bugs after I finish the bug fixes I need to do to the root method...
List of bugs noticed on my xperia M running 4.3:
- The home and recent app buttons sometimes just dissapear
- Lag after waking up the phone from stand by/idle/locked screen
- The email app does not load emails everytime - tested on data service and wifi
The camera is a big improvement, the new interface for the contacts app too.

Well 4.3 in my opinion does not have better ui as white ui is nice but not so good
v4.2.2 was far much nice in looks of it
coloring of themes so rough
white line in notification when pull down
dialer also looks bad black and white color like its a black and white phone
also pin lock it was so smooth and nice in v4.2.2 only numbers but now it shows alphabets in it
with numbers

This fix corrects the data in out arrows in Dual 4.3 firmware.
It will also fix few Xperia themes errors.
Goto /system/vender/overlay/
Select and delete each and every apk there.
Restart your mobile and enjoy the fix.
Note: Deleting com.android.systemui-res.apk will do the job but I recommend to delete all the apps so that xperia themes work well.
