Ho do I boot into recovery(TWRP) witout adb or hard buttons?? - T-Mobile LG G3

Ok, rooted with twrp installed. Does anyone have info on booting into recovery without adb or the finger gymnastics for buttons?

You could use the G3 TweakBox for Xposed and it has the option to enable an advanced reboot menu

Thanks, I haven't used either since the advanced menu is part of rom. I'll take a look.

Yeah, Quickboot is my old standby if I can't get a power menu mod.

Nope. It will be awesome when Xposed gets updated for ART, but who knows when that will happen. I like the smoothness of ART, but I like my Xposed modules even more. It just depends on your priorities.

Or you can turn off your phone and turn it on then right when the lg logo comes up hold the volume down and power button together until it asks if you want to factory reset. Press yes each time and it'll boot into twrp. It sounds complicated but it's not that bad haha. Also it won't factory reset in twrp unless you specifically wipe it in twrp. I actually read that in another thread but can't remember which

One option is to use Xposed framework and the Gravitybox module.

It has but it does not work. I set it up black, even restart, and NavBar still transparent. Useless app.

Of course, I already had Xposed installed, as I need it for Greenify, so Gravity is useless. Does not even hide status bar.

Well that's great, I wish it could work on my phone too, but it doesn't. In your home screen Music and AirDroid are upside down.
I did it also for my girlfriend phone with gravitybox. I don't have it now but you have to enable the navigation bar in the options and reboot to be able to change color. Its like substituting the original navbar with gravitiybox navbar, however its the same.

2) Emergency Call Press and Hold

TUTO: Install Xposed Framework and good tweaks

Hello Guys,
Here is my guide to install a working version of Xposed and some good tweaks on the Moto z
At first install the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha.apk attached below.
After that, flash the xposed-v86vsdk23-arm64.zip via twrp.
Now you have Xposed Framework installed on your phone and can download modules !
How to get advanced power menu ??
As you know you can only power off the phone in power menu with stock rom.
In order to get advanced power menu with 4way reboot and screenshot you have to download Gravity box module from Xposed and activated it.
Reboot your phone and go to Gravity box app.
Go to power tweaks and activate advanced power menu
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Congratulation, you can now reboot your phone or take screenshot by holding power menu to access advanced power menu.
How to show battery percentage ??
Go to Statusbar tweaks/Battery settings in Gravity menu and make your choice

Hello enetec,
Tested with the force disable encrypt kernel.
Because didn't find a way to root the phone with the original kernel.

I guessed it... thank you.
This would require rooting the phone first, right? Also, as you've mentioned, you're not using the original kernel. Does that mean that it will not receive OTA upgrades?

Go to THIS link then go to the download page and grab the Stock SystemUI + Framework with minor mods – DOWNLOAD and install it. Then go into System UI Tuner in settings.
Unfortunately, I can't find it again, but one of the OTAs had a tool built in to do this in the UI Tweaker. It might have been the "V" version but I haven't been able to get it again.

Not that I'm aware of, you might want to try a Factory Data Reset first. After doing the appropriate backups first of course.
If that fails, unlock the BL, flash stock. Once you verify it works lock the BL again. You might have to FDR again to get the Play Store to show Certified if clearing data under Apps doesn't work.
I wish I could still trust my Robin, but I have a battery heating issue that nothing seems to fix. Hence my signature showing my former backup phone as my DD.
