[Q] Dropbox / Carousel Video streaming - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
On my G3 D855, I can't stream videos from Dropbox / Carousel.
It does work only, if I favorite the movie so it downloads to my phone.
But real streaming doesn't work. It says things like I don't have internet connection or simply it can't play this movie.
But on my G2 or on my G-Pad 8.3 it does stream just fine. Using Dropbox since ages, I never had such issue until I came to the G3.
I contacted Dropbox support as I am a Pro User but they can't investigate because they don't have a G3 yet.
So I wonder if any of you could test so I know whether this is a bug or just a problem on my devices and wipe it.
Also when I try to stream from GDrive it works fine. YouTube works fine, everything. Just from Dropbox can't stream anymore.
Uninstalled and reinstalled it already, still no go.

LG released a Firmware update a few weeks ago and since then, it works.
So the issue was with LG and not with Dropbox / Carousel.

Good info. Was wondering why my videos streamed via my GS3 and not my ATT G3. I guess I'll just have to wait for ATT to release an update for us.

No I do have the International Version of the G3. (D855)

Q-Pair is not working... Any help would be great!

I have a LG G2 and when I try to sync Q-Pair to my G Pad it errors out every time. I have redownloaded the app, cleaned data/cache on both devices and still no luck. I did notice the versions are different (G Pad is 4.1.21 with no way to update and the app store version is 4.1.30). Has anyone found a fix for this? It doesn't make sense... Both are LG devices...

I believe you need to update the app on the Gpad using the LG upgrade store. I've seen a few different threads that said once they updated it, it worked flawlessly.

I just paired mine an hour ago. I tried several times without success. Once I updated Qpair on the G Pad, it paired the first time.
Look for an app called Update Center and update Qpair there.

[Q] Choppy, Stuttering Netflix Playback

For the past few days, Netflix is very choppy in my G Pad 8.3. Stock software with latest version of Netflix app. My WiFi connection is stable and other streaming apps (YouTube HD videos, Crackle) work just fine.
Is anyone else having the same problem? Any tips?

Yes same problem, Google search brought me to this thread. I honestly didn't think it would matter, but I rebooted my G Pad and the stuttering went away!
The lip-sync issue is finally gone since the last Netflix update. Best of all it is now in full HD.
Edit, scratch the full HD comment. I just updated Netflix to the current version and full HD looks to be gone again.
Same problem here too. Reboot didn't seem to help much...

Anyone tested Netflix on 10.5?

How the Netflix app running, smooth?
Netflix runs great on mine. Depending on your connection. If I use my phone for connection and in Sprint spark territory I receive HD content. Same for home network.
Yes Netflix is gorgeous on the 10.5. Give it about 30 seconds or so for the HD movie to buffer and it looks incredible.
The Netflix and youtube apps have been optimized by Samsung for this device. They look spectacular. It's third party video apps that suffer with extreme Pixelation and ghosting in dark scenes. Such as Crackle, Cable Provider Apps and other streaming services.
Mine doesn't even let me activate it, I mean, I'm just entering the app for the first time, when I enter my Email and password is telling me that the device can't be activated, I called Netflix and the only thing they told me was to uninstall it and reinstall it and when I told them that this one came pre-installed that I can't uninstall it just turn it off, he didn't even know what to tell me.
They are telling me to contact Samsung, so go figure...

I'm getting the same error. Tried clearing the data and signing in again, but now it won't even let , me get that far. Just getting the device cannot be activated error.

Please call Netflix and/or Samsung so they know that this isn't an isolated problem and worth together to fix it.
I called Samsung and basically told me to reset to factory, I asked them if they guarantee me that doing that will fix my issue and they couldn't, so I told them that I wasn't in the mood of just wasting hours that took me to set this today just to see if that fixes it and if at least they have a reliable backup solution where I could simply reset and restore I'd do it, but not with the joke they call Kies, and that I have had all their Galaxies s, both Gears and now the Tab S, so I do like them but must admit that their backup solution is a joke and is a shame that they seem to not care about do something at least like LG has.
I called back Netflix and this time they were asking and escalating the call and in waiting for a call back.
Just for curiosity and trying to cover all the bases, are you on the Continental US? I live in Puerto Rico and I'm just wondering if this could be some Region issue.
Just to let you know that after trying all day at the office where I'm the System Manager so I have full online access as usual with all my previous and actual android devices, and after talking to Samsung and Netflix guys I just cane home and guess what, I could activate Netflix without a hiccup, so what can be different with this Netflix app on this Tablet that is the first device that I couldn't activate the Netflix app but everything else was working perfectly, even more, I used the OEM browser and Chrome and went to Netflix and login from there and saw everything perfectly, so the proviene was always the Netflix App.
Let me wait for Netflix call as they haven't call yet and see what they think after I explain this to them.

The picture looks great, I'm not even sure what the highest resolution one can stream using Netflix.
I was able to get it working as well. I went into the application manager and uninstalled the update. Then, let it reupdate from the Google Play store and it worked fine.

They never called me yesterday, but after trying at home and worked I'm sure they just re-adjusted something on their end, that's the only explanation why suddenly it worked after not working for a full day, I'm assuming that they just changed something and let me try it again by myself instead of call me, that can explain why yours is working now also. I did what you are mentioning here about 5 times and nothing worked before, so if now is working then maybe something was changed after my couple of calls.

Netflix streams 4k video now, breaking bad, and ghostbusters I know for sure are 4k. I don't know if it will convert or look better though on the Samsung tab S? Let me know if you notice any difference?
I picked up the 8.4 S yesterday and I think it's clear that this is the best device for Netflix I have ever used. I checked out both the 8.4 and the 10.5 at the dealer and felt that the 8.4 was superior due to the pixel density giving it a sharper look.
To some extent I didn't feel the 10.5 was any better than the Note 10.1 2014 and I have always felt that video was a bit blurry on the larger screens. The display density on the 8.4 is just perfect and Netflix and Youtube are impressive.
I got the 10.5. 32Gb. Love it. No problem seeing up Netflix. When I started the the stock Netflix app it requested an update. After that it run smoothly.

I noticed some of you said that Netflix was already installed. For some reason mine wasn't.
I wonder why?
As I thought there was an exclusive Netflix app for the tab s. If I download Netflix from play store is it the same app?
Also for those that have the Netflix app pre installed is it not deletable then?
Mine came with Netflix pre installed. I can't delete it, only uninstall the updates.

Mine also came with pre installed Netflix. When I tried to run it, it promenade me to upgrade the app. After the upgrade it run flawlessly.

Got my galaxy tab s in the UK with no previous installed Netflix. Downloaded the app from Google play and it just hangs on the signing in page. Very frustrating.

Got my Tab s 4G from 3 UK and all works perfectly so far, even got he on Netflix compared to my partners tab 2.

Hi everyone, I just wanna say that it's a really nice weekend, CloudyFA's ROM which is famous in LG G2, now supports our D851

Does this address the camera and Bluetooth problems , I'm really dying to flash a rom on my G3 it's been a over a month on stock .................flashaholic withdraws , thankfully I have other toy's to play with .........:good:

It's based off stock lg, only the international version so camera, Bluetooth etc all work.
Only issue I am having is mms do not send at all and do not receive every time. Outside of that the phone is finally coming to life, think it's lg's last update that fixed a lot of the lag.

I have no issue with mms. But in the first flashing, I cant restore all app date via TB, if restore data only it makes FC issue in that app. I restored the Zone backup in twrp then wipe everything and flashed this rom again and now it works flawlessly
Update: nice battery life after 2 cycles, quite warm, very smooth (never seen in D851 stock based rom before):thumbup:

I just can't get this thing to flash. Sucks cause I've been on AOSP but want to switch back to stock. ZoneROMs battery doesn't last long enough for me though. Tried everything. Might try new version later, see if I can get that to boot.

Well thats what I thought at first but I tried 4 different downloads, all in which the md5 matched. But FWIW, just flashed 1.1 and it worked like a charm first try. Something about 1.0 wasnt meshing with my phone. But thanks for the help anyways.

I remember seeing someone else have a similar problem on another ROM. Try going into settings of your Moto 360 and resetting the device. It should connect after that and resynchronize itself with your apps.

Did you reset your watch? That's the only way to reestablish connection with a new ROM.

As a couple others said, reset the watch. I'm running the ROM with my Moto 360 just fine. I had to reset because it wouldn't see the watch (it was still paired to the old ROM).
This ROM is perfectly stable and clean so far! Finally pulled me away from SkyDragon. Only question I had was if this supports the custom kernels? (I don't see why it wouldn't)

[Q] LG GPad 10.1 tablet 4.4.2 app problem

Specifically having problem with the twc wifi finder app.
Login screen doesn't give the save and cancel blue buttons. I had no problem with the wifi finder app on LG G2 phone. I think it may be the tablet is either not compatible or its a setting that needs to be changed. emailed with twc, quick response but no fix, so they told me to call 888-851-9530 . Just got off phone with them, still no resolution. They will escalate, in the meantime they gave me the number for LG (and I posted this same question on Time Warner forum page). Have not called, thought id try here first. Thanks.

This is the section for the LG G4, not your tablet.
I didn't know my G4 is 10.1 inches. Why we do need to look for TWC wifi with their crappy app.

The problem I'm having is on my LG Gpad (Tablet). It worked on my LG G2 just find. The Time Warner Cable App is the problem I think. The TWC WiFi Finder app will not download correctly on my tablet. I came here because I was told to call LG, thought this forum would provide a faster solution.
Hey can anyone please help me. I have the LTE att v930 Version and I'm on 10b 5.1.1 I can't get the system update to even show there's an update available. I know I can't install it while rooted but I really want the new number sync feature. You have to have 10d in order to get it. Please Help
