GPS is not working ??? - Desire 816 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have HTC Desire 816 dual sim and I have root it successfully and used filemount also successfully, but I am tying to use the GPS but it cannot get any satellite signals ???
Can any one confirm that the HTC Desire 816 dual sim can work with GPS with Google maps or Sygic or any other maps program ???
is there some settings (other than opening the GPS) to make it works ???

I am HTC dual SIM mobile. Tried Chinese and uae and Indian Roms and I can confirm that it is working on all three Roms.
However, I know that single SIM users having the GPS issue, when they install the dual SIM backup in their Roms. It is certainly not the case for you.

desire not working in base network belgium

hi,
i have a t mobile uk desire unlocked and debranded, i was using both t mobile and orange while in uk, i am in belgium now, i was using the uk sim but because of high roaming charge i changed my sim, i got base network sim, but everytime i turn on my phone it says limited service. anyone knows the problem? please help me.
i am using froyo( pays desire froyo sense v1.9).
That's strange. My new operator uses the BASE network and it works perfectly. However, since I've changed the sim card I get a sim card setting error during startup. Probably some phone settings that are automatically sent to BeNeLux Desires (Belgium Netherlands Luxembourg). But foreign devices need to configure it manually.

Help in HTC one X 3G data

I got the One X a week ago and I made unlock for it, and I installed a custom ROM (ARHD) but the 3G data is not working.
I already have the correct APN settings (I'm living in Japan using softbank)..!! but when I try to connect it says disconnected .
So anybody can help me in such issue?????
I tried leedroid and other custom ROM but all the same, no 3G data connection at all, just the telephone..!!
please helpppppp
Wrong section. This has nothing to do with the rom you flashed by the way. Your apn settings only support voice, not data. Or you need to find a different sim card that is compatible with your 3g.

But I would to say that I'm using the SIM and APN settings in my ONE X as the same when I used in my previous DHD.
So I do not think that the SIM and or APN have relation with that... because when I put the SIM back again in my DHD, I opened the 3G and sent MMS normally...!!!!!

[Q] HTC Desire 816 dual

Hi everyone.
It's m'y first experience with Android on HTC device. I have two number with data plan so I want whether it's possible to switch between the two sim cards to go on Internet and how to do it.
Thanks
Only the first Sim slot connects with 3G so there's not much of a point for using snail paced data on second Sim.
that said, you can easily change "preferred data network" in "Dual Network Manager" section in settings.
Thann you for your seekfind but I don't have the option to choose a preferred network.

I don't know about 816d variant but generally 816 has this option in settings>Dual Network Manager. at the same place there is an option to turn on and turn off your sim slots. also, have you setup your Access point names(APNs) correctly for each sim card in mobile data section?
Yes the APN are good and I use both of them for internet, but for now to use internet with the second sim, I turn off me first one so I can't receive call anymore. My friend has a LG dual Sim too but his phone has a function to do it easily without turn off the first slot, maybe it's the same for HTC but I don't know how activate it.

RCS Messaging not working on dualsim Nokia 5.1 Plus

Hi! I have a little problem with my Nokia 5.1 DS Plus on Android 10. I am using it with two T-Mobile polish SIM cards. When I had only my main one in the phone, the RCS Messaging in stock Messages app was working fine. However, when I install my second SIM card, which I use only for cellular data, I get "This device is not supported" error. What can I do to get RCS working when using dual sim?
EDIT: I discovered that changing main SIM card to the one I use daily fixes the problem. Is it possible for only Messages to use this card, and the second one for the rest?
