Hi all...I was thinking about getting this tablet. Ive done some digging, but maybe am not finding what I need.
I would prefer a case with a keyboard and touchpad. Preferably a full size keyboard. Any suggestions?
Also. I am new to the whole pen thing. I do plan on using it for notes at work. Are there any good "normal weighted" pens out yet that work well?

I just flashed Black 2.0 Cingular to my 8525 and it seems my the ?mark on my keyboard produces a dash.
Didnt see anything about it on the board or in the wiki, anyone else have this or know how to fix it...

This cab has been posted all over, there is a known issue with the 8525 keyboard with the newer ROM's, I have included the cab for you.
Keep this cab handy in case you flash in the future and need again.

These cabs or the registry fix are posted everywhere on this forum and I am still amaze on how many people failed to look for them.

I agree, kinda funny, seems to be the same requests all the time. I guess I am kinda lucky, I have some extra time throughout my day to read. That and I don't want to damage my investment.

Seriously, though. I have, from time to time, been put out by the old-timers here going off on the newbies for asking questions the answers to which can be, relatively, easily found. However, this damn keyboard cab issue keeps popping up on a daily basis and I refuse to believe any one of these guys ever search for the info.
Mind you, I'm not completely guilt-free. I MAY HAVE popped in a question or two in an active forum when everyone was patting each other on the nuts and happy with a new ROM release. But, I did look, damnit. And, by the way, old-timers, none of you have answered my question about how to make the thumbnail pic bigger on the dialer. NONE of ya! Yet, you all jump to answer that damn keyboard cab question!

Hi, there is not an answer to that one as far as I know, I can't see how a reg edit would work as I think the dialer is made all in one and then loaded into the rom (don't quote me!).
The only thing I can suggest is a magnifying glass!
Seriously though PM swampy he might be able to help.

which lead me to think... do you guys actually ever bothered attempting to use other pens? from what I can gather it turns out that any wacom pen will work with the galaxy note which opens the door for huge selection of pens

Sure. Get me a stylus that fits in the little space there and I'll use it.
Toting around another stylus or clipping it somewhere isn't worth the trade off in convenience.

Supposedly any of the windows tablet pens work. Not the regular wacom ones. I want one with the eraser function for drawing at home. I doubt I'd take it with me.

A search before creating this new thread would have led you to at least one long thread with extensive discussion and links to alternative pens.
Creating a new thread was totally unnecessary, and will only lead to confusion and double postings regarding this subject.
A search also would have yielded you the answer you were looking for far more quickly than waiting for new answers.
This thread should be closed and combined with existing similar threads.

I tried a the pen from the Kupa Windows Tablet and it did not work. Also tried the pen from the HTC View and that did not work either.

Hello mates,
the topic says what im searching for.
I'm huge HTC fan, but I like the way how you can edit photos on Galaxy Note.
It is on every their commercials so, probably all of you know for what Im talking about.
So far i found only the program "SKITCH" which is similar and free but it will be great to have more "tools"
so if any1 of you know something similar or know where I can found the original Note app to use on our HOX, please share it with me. This will help me a lot with my work, instead of re-scratching on paper.
p.s. if I buy an "Spen" will it work on our phones ?

First of all, i am glad to be in this forum. From here i have discovered a lot of things for my android devices. I have one question. I will have this awesome tablet, my first one actually. And that's the reason i am looking for an leather case to protect it. But i want to have some physical keyboard. I will have the 7.0 version just in case.
I have looked for two options, but i see i can't post them because the newbie status. Hope you guys can give me some options, thanks

Ok, so I finally got me a device that I intend to stick with as long as I can, that device being a Galaxy Note N7000 (never liked the US versions with all capacitive front buttons, gotta have that physical Home one). Now I'm looking through the case threads and I found one that I absolutely love but of course because I'm like ~2 years late to the party, so to speak, the case isn't made anymore and my chances of actually locating one are somewhere between null and void, perhaps slim to none, zip, zilch, zero, that sort of thing.
But, then again, perhaps someone out there might have one they don't use anymore, or they might just know of a little "hole in the wall" website that has one, who knows, hence me asking. I noticed it in the "Post your Cases Here" thread in a post by another member, dellwole, but he/she apparently hasn't logged in for a very very long time so I doubt reaching out to him/her would prove useful.

I know it's a shot in the dark, but it's the best looking case I think I've ever seen (personal opinion there, stand back...) and I really would love to find one if at all possible - I know there are similar ones but I'll put my effort into locating one of these (even used as long as it's in good shape). If anyone has any info that could potentially prove helpful, a finger in the right direction, even a "I know this guy who used to work with a dude that has a cousin who knows Ferris Bueller..." type thing, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Close but no cigar, and yes I'd found that one in my searching.
It's very close but not the same case (different materials, and the enclosure) - I suppose I could get one and then just use a razor to slice off the enclosure piece, it might end up being my only choice unfortunately. And yes, that brown one is precisely what I'll keep looking for, thanks.
